I bought these for my upstairs deck -- I find just about every aspect of life this far into the 21st century so odious, so repulsive, that I work like mad to create as much of what is positive to me as I possibly can, on every level. I have gotten hooked on those ASMR videos of rainy nights in cozy libraries or bookshops and cafes with "jazz music" playing, while I'm reading or sleeping (BTW, what kind of ding-dong schedules mid-roll commercials on videos like these??) Now that the seasons have changed, I found one of a greenhouse on a rainy night with books and plants and candles, I LOVE IT!

So it was obvious to me that I had to get something for either end of my potting bench that is up against the house under the gutter, and I found these -- price was excellent, so I gave it a try. They looked fantastic even before the plants were in the containers up here (spring took its time this year), but I cried the next morning when I saw the one of them was still on. The timer didn't work. I tried again, it wasn't me, it's them. But an Amazon rep let me return it and sent me a new one without even waiting for my return to ship to them, AND IT WORKS! I just love the way they look. Yeah, they have that goldy highlight on them that made me ship those "barrel" planters back like lightning, but somehow, it doesn't bother me on this. They're so cute and unassuming, they do their job, they do it well, and they bring something beautiful to life -- boy do I wish I could say that about the people I meet and have to deal with every day!

UPDATE: I had these out straight through sub-zero weather, and they work fine, so for those wondering, it's not a problem!
