All Blues, the forthcoming covers album from the Peter Frampton Band, is set for release on June 7 via UMe. The album is a collection of Frampton's favorite blues classics and was recorded with his longtime touring band, made up of Adam Lester (guitar/vocals), Rob Arthur (keyboards/guitar/vocals) and Dan Wojciechowski (drums). All Blues was recorded at Frampton's home studio in Nashville, Studio Phenix, and was co-produced by Chuck Ainlay and Peter Frampton.

Just listen to the guitar, then everything else.
On top of his amazing skill, personality and style, my truck stereo was instantly aware of the production quality, and reminded me of the pre-digital warm sound I had forgotten to miss. I miss it now. Sorry kids and Pro-tool users, analog rocks!
This album is mastered with the ears of an audiophile in mind, and the songs produced with the individual instruments showcased, not lost in the mix or wall of sound that clutters up most post-modern music. Frampton is a multi-instrument musician, and his appreciation for the other "lead" instruments and musicians is loud and clear. The arraignment are not over-packed: where there should be a note, there is a note. Where there is no need for a note, none is forced to fill a gap. A very satisfying listen.
Frampton may have been known as the master of the live show, but this album showed he OWNED the studio as well.
