Editorial Reviews

Barely a year after the release of their hugely acclaimed debut album 'Dogrel', which earned a Mercury Prize nomination and Album of the Year 2019 at both BBC 6Music and Rough Trade record store, Dublin’s Fontaines D.C. have returned with an intensely confident, patient, and complex follow up album. 'A Hero's Death' arrives battered and bruised, albeit beautiful - a heady and philosophical take on the modern world, and its great uncertainty

Best album in a long time, buy it if you like honest in your face rock music.

This release garnered some support of radio DJs. It's a worthwhile investment but the lyric sound of voice and the lyric sometimes jar. But on the whole worth a listen. Borrow then upload or buy original CD and take on the rather attractive packaging. There are good songs here and musicianship is passable. Buy it and share it.

5.0 out of 5 stars More diverse than first album, but another incredible collection of soon to be classics.

Different overall to Dogrel, but still instantly likeable, and more great lyrics.
