I am 64 years old and have experienced all kinds of music since I really started listening to it in the early 60's. In the 80's I heard of twisted sister and they were kind of way out there but did have their signature song "were not going to take it" which was ok but then they came out with "I wanna rock" and that showed me alot more of them. I wouldnt have bought any of their albums but they do have other good songs but were not into their hybrid heavy rock.

Now being quite a few years later I was ordering some other albums I didnt know how they would sound and came upon this effort by Dee Snider. I had seen a documentary on twisted sister and they were a good band and Dee was very serious as a vocalist I gave him that and looked at the reviews on this effort and decided to try it as this genre of metal has only a few left and some of them dont really intrigue me. Well............DAMN! I am only into the 5th song and DAMN! again. This is true American heavy metal all the way. I sure hope this keeps up until the end of the CD. I would take this with me on a long trip to listen to for sure. If you just want to listen to something that doesnt get you to thinking "why the hell did they write that song?" or any of the buyers remorse we have all felt at one time or another with a purchase, then get this. And please Dee I am not all the way through so please dont have any filler on this. I am putting my rep and street cred out here! Highly recommended!

America. Metal. American metal.

Not since Lizzy Borden have I heard such kick ass American metal, but Dee Snider delivers it heavy, and it STAYS heavy from beginning to end! Even the ballad about the loss of his mother is heavy. The production is top notch, and mixed loud, so even at a normal volume, its still loud and bass-y!

There aren't any weak tracks on this disc, but there are 2 radio sort-of friendly tracks, "Become the Storm" , and "I Am the Hurricane", however each are still metal worthy.

I cannot pick the heaviest track on this disc as all kick ass, but "Running Mazes", Lies Are A Business", "For the Love of Metal" "Dead Hearts Love They Enemy" are crushing!!!!!

Do NOT sit on the fence with this .......BUY IT IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I've had it in my trucks c.d. player for 2 weeks straight since I bought it.

Dee Snider really kicks your teeth in with this release. The title of the album says it all. If you love good metal, this is for you. Dee's voice sounds great. The production is excellent. From a metal fan's point of view, there is nothing to complain about with this record. The opening track Lies Are A Business sets the tone for the rest of the record. Fans of Dee and Twisted Sister should pick this up and play it loud. You will not be disappointed.

It's Dee! If you like corny catchy metal, reminicent of the 80's then this is for you. He still rocks. I specifically bought it because he has Howard Jones (Light The Torch) as a guest vocalist who is amazing.

Wow. Totally impressed with this release. I've been a casual fan, since the '80s (before Stay Hungry). Always enjoyed Twisted Sister, but those songs and solo work since never rose to the level of loving it. This album crosses that threshold. it is it filled with quick, catchy, heavy songs with terrific production. The guests on this add enough variation to keep the album diverse and make it rewarding to listen to all the way through. Zero filler. Dee has never sounded so powerful and rich. Check out the samples and decide for yourself. I sure hope there is a follow-up album next year. If so, I'll be there.

I can write page after page on How GREAT This CD is !!!!! Dee Snider sounds Better now than when in Twisted Sister and this music is HEAVY , HEAVY METAL !!!!! There is not one bad song on here and his Vocals are Awesome !!! The band here is Contemporary Metal , the Real Mosh Pit Heavy Sounding , Fast Metal but Dee adds a very unique yet melodic lyrics to the songs and IT ALL WORKS !!!!!!!!!! Love This CD !!!!!

What’s not to like, it’s Dee Snider. This is not your Twisted Sister though. This is Dee Snider supported by some remarkable players and making the metal. If you liked his Widowmaker project then you’ll love this. Although the album seems to somewhat run together musically, Dee’s vocal separate the nicely. Music is heavy & fast & Dee brings it all together with his trademark style and sound. I can’t speak for you but for me..... this album is a Masterpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dee Snider proves that he doesn't need Twisted Sister to make great albums!

When I was about to listen to this I had my misgivings, thinking can Dee Snider really make a good album without his Twisted Sister band mates. But once this disc started playing I was surprised and amazed just how great this is. This is as good as anything he's done with Twisted Sister, I think that only Stay Hungry is actually better than this. Here you get his iconic voice along with great enthralling riffs and drive to all the songs. It's a great album that I didn't believe Snider could pull off. By the way, his follow up album "Leave A Scar" is as good if not better than this one, I had to get that too after hearing it. Anyways, this CD has a lot of Power Metal influences in it.
