Timeless Classic Modern Heavy Metal
Last year I reviewed the CD version of THE OTHER ONE and I gave my thoughts about how it was the best new album of 2023 and how it demonstrated the growth and development of Babymetal having gone through changes and coming back anew to have an amazing year in 2023!Furthermore, on to that point, having personally experienced the World Tour they participated in and having listened to how they performed the live versions of the older material as well as the new material from this album, I can can say that the songs of this album do bring the group "full circle" to why we love them to begin with!It gave me a fresh perspective on this album.It demonstrated everything we love about them in the past and it also opens the door to a future in which we can speculate what exciting direction their music will take on next!Specifically, this vinyl version of THE OTHER ONE does - in a certain way - sound timeless.Its a beautifully crafted vinyl record and packaged well.It is designed to spin at a standard 33 RPM rate and plays perfectly on a standard 33 RPM record player.There is a nice 6 second buffer between songs which is a very nice touch. Your brain can better process each song as you await the needle to move to the next song.Great album, great vinyl, great music!

They arent those little girls in pigtails anymore~
A work of art, but not the "Babymetal" most will be expecting

A much more matured sound/style when compared to their other albums, however like their other albums much feels over processed, which ironically is why BM live versions are almost always much more popular. Not a bad album by any measure, but definitely a change in gears from what Babymetal has been known for. It's more artsy in style. Opting instead of their usual shock and awe style that blends genres and produces the unexpected, to instead highlight Su's incredible vocal talents a bit more traditionally. I wish the album had a few more tracks as 10 doesn't feel like much.Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2023
