1 Louder Than Noise... Live in Berlin

Editorial Reviews

MOTÖRHEAD TO RELEASE “LOUDER THAN NOISE… LIVE IN BERLIN” VIA SILVER LINING MUSIC ON APRIL 23RD 2021 The Lemmy Kilmister/Phil Campbell/Mikkey Dee Motörhead line-up spent decades cracking sound barriers, bending ears and decimating lawns worldwide, consistently delivering the Motörgospel to hundreds of thousands of fans. Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin is a thunderous performance from the band’s 2012 Kings of The Road tour, spanning fifteen classics across all four decades. This line-up was Motörhead’s longest serving by a considerable distance, and throughout Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin their powerful synergy boots its way through the speakers with the raucous charm and dirty, dangerous, sweaty gusto that was the Kilmister/Campbell/Dee trademark. From the unapologetically furious ‘I Know How to Die’ to a deliciously rare and raucous ‘Over the Top’, Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin is all about the thick, raw and liberating power of Motörhead live. Further highlights include a favourably feral ‘Rock It’, a rudely raunchy ‘You Better Run’ and a classic one-two haymaker of ‘Ace of Spades’ and ‘Overkill’. Whether a collector completist or newbie to Motörhead’s music, Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin is a welcome reminder of what real rock ‘n’ roll is truly about.

What are you doing- just buy it - unless of course you don’t like Motörhead. But if you like rock-n-roll and you like Motörhead - then you can not go wrong here - this band never quit never sold out. Plus you can watch them live. This is one of the last concerts they did and they remained until the end a force of nature- see with your eyes and hear with your ears. Lemmy is king!

Solid live album, but it does not compare to the classic Live at Hammersmith which was also reissued this year.

Another live CD that I'm just here very recently finding out about. Gig recorded live on December 5, 2012 at the Velodrom in Berlin, Germany. Tunes here that are sure to give all loyal Motorhead fans just what they want [to hear] include "Damage Case", the unforgettable "Stay Clean", "Metropolis", the awesome "Doctor Rock", "String Theory" [a stunning Phil Campbell guitar solo that I couldn't say - for sure if it's on any other live Motorhead CD or not], "Rock It", "The One To Sing The Blues", "Going To Brazil" (managed to become a concert staple), the essential NWOBHM classic "Ace Of Spades" and the suitable closer "Overkill". Duration - 69 minutes. Live sound mix and quality couldn't be better. Certainly, I'm giving this CD / DVD a five-star rating. I mean, what else? Enjoyed the DVD every bit as much as I did the CD. I usually prefer the live CD over a live DVD for some reason. Also available on 2-lp vinyl and a specially assembled limited edition box set that provides the 2-lp gatefold , CD, DVD and a poster. An absolute must-own.

This is a nice way to round out Moorhead's illustrious career. They're not for everyone, but everyone who loves 'em should like this.

As a Motorhead die hard I will keep review simple. It's Motorhead, it's live and it has a dvd of concert as well. You can ask no more.

5.0 out of 5 stars "We're Motörhead and we play rock'n'roll!", la signature Lemmy
Reviewed in France on April 24, 2021
