I bought these headphones a few months ago. Some features were not available unless you install their app, but the sound and aesthetic was good for the price. HOWEVER- the headphones no longer accept any charging cable (USB-C), and so the battery is dying with no way of recharging it. What SENNHEISER isn't telling you, is as soon as you ask for a warranty, they tell you that THEY ARE NO LONGER handling that, and send you to an infinite loop of OTHER people handling their consumer headphones. You go to THEIR website, and they say the warranty no longer applies to the US. I would NOT have bought headphones at this price, from a brand name like SENNHEISER, if I thought the warranty would not be honored. Do Not Buy!

These are one of the worst piece of junk headphones I have ever bought they don't connect to bluetooth unless you turn them on and half at least a dozen times. There sound is average at best. I wouldnt have another sennheiser product if you gave them to me. They suck in every way!!!! You have been warned

Excellent headphones for under $200. Not sure why they are listed at this price – either a misprint or a scam. You can get this exact same set from many other sellers for the MSRP, which is about $200.

this is a german written post. DONT BUY THOUGH. this is an obvious scam, but it could be a currency issue. nambia speaks german, and the currency there is about 5.1 cents to a single south african rand. 240$ (the price of these headphones normally) is about 4.7k rand. they could be trying to go 1-1 ration of rand-usd, which is a massive scam, but they could be underestimating the worth of an american dollar

While these are quality headphones I'm sure, as Sennheiser is a good company, there is not anywhere on the net where these things actually have an MSRP of >$9000

Sound quality
First thing to say is that these headphones have lovely dynamic sound. With the pre-made eq setting turned on in the app you get a very balanced and flat sound with tight, well-timed bass, clear and detailed mids and sparkling clean highs.

With the eq setting turned off there is a lot of bass which really lets EDM or rock hit harder, but it does mean sacrificing some of the cleanness of the bottom end.

I’ve tested them on a wide range of music and I’ve been impressed across them all.

It’s worth saying that the headphones come into their own when connected over USB C instead of Bluetooth- this paired with a lossless source brings out more depth, richness and detail. My understanding is that the onboard DAC is used in this mode but that it won’t handle completely uncompressed lossless audio - I’m not sure what the bit rate is, but you can hear the difference over Bluetooth, so it is higher res than that at least!

I can honestly say they’re the best sounding headphones if heard in a long time. They manage to be detailed, with good separation but without becoming clinical or harsh. They’re still warm and very easy to listen to.

Comfort
I find them pretty good. It would be nice if the headband was a little softer, but generally I find that I can wear them for a good few hours without getting uncomfortable.

Looks and build quality
They look gorgeous - if you’re into that retro look. The build quality is solid and the materials all feel premium, even the plastic backs to the cans. These have to be plastic to allow the Bluetooth signal in.

The leather pads are soft, comfortable and feel really premium.

Connectivity
So far it’s been very stable, it has sometimes been too good at switching devices, so you need to remember to disconnect it from devices when you finish. But no complaints here.

The app is also pretty decent although it is slow to connect sometimes. Once you’ve set your eq up you probably won’t need to use the app much though.

Overall thoughts
These aren’t cheap, but they are very good. The carry case is a let down and offers very little protection, I’ve bought a hard case on Amazon that fits for £14 and that fixes the issue!

They don’t have the best battery on the market and the active noise cancelling isn’t as good as my AirPod Pros, but that’s not really the reason to buy these headphones. They’re for listening for the pleasure of listening. I’ve found myself kicking back in the evening with a whisky and these plugged into my iPad with Apple Music set to hi-res lossless. Battery life and ANC are irrelevant in that situation!

Ich kann Kopfhörer von heute und die noch in meinem Besitz befindlichen recht gut vergleichen. Meine Forderung war zunächst ein guter bis ausgezeichneter Klang, eine vernünftige Noisereduction (ANC) und eine funktionierende Bluetooth - Verbindung auf wenigstens um und bei 8 (acht) Meter! Eine etwas HOHE Anforderung war allerdings auch, dass sie mir passen. Während ich einen relativen Kopf/Kopfform (auch Größe!) habe, hatte ich, bedingt durch einen inzwischen operierten Tumor, ein dringendes Bedürfnis an große Ohrmuscheln, unter die meine Lauscher auch passen!!! Bisher erfüllte diese Voraussetzung nur ein gutgehender Bose (QC 45 und der heute noch in meinem Besitz befindliche Soundlink!) und ein TEUFEL. Während mich der Letztere aber so sehr mochte, dass er mich zu fest an sich drückte und darum zurück ging, auch wenn da klanglich recht Gutes hörbar war. Zum BOSE sage ich mal, dass der schon seit Jahren für mich recht gut klingt und ANC beim QC 45 ausgereift ist und hervorragend funktioniert!
Wer meine Rezensionen liest, der kann die von mir in diesem Warehouse erworbenen Kopfhörer über die letzten 10 -12 Jahre sehen, wobei ich auch einige Andere im MEDIA-Markt, SATURN Probe gehört habe. Zudem versuche ich mich seit über 40 Jahren als DJ auf den verschiedensten öffentlichen, mehr aber auf privaten Veranstaltungen,- mehr oder weniger erfolgreic, ABER da mir eben immer als “MUSS”ein guter Klang wichtig war, ist es Letzterer gerade auch bei Kopfhörern!

B&W war IMMER mein Favorit wenn es denn NUR zum HÖREN kam. Meine DJ Kopfhörer stellten grundsätzlich einen Unterschied dar, aber aber passten ohrmäßig! Ich favorisiere noch heute so etwas wie den PX 5 mit der Leder - Ohr - Auflage, den ich noch besitze, aber dieser ist eben auch klanglich schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und hat eben Stecker! Referenz bei Bluetooth ist klanglich aber der PX/PX 7, wenn’s um ANC geht der QC 45!

Ich höre grundsätzlich alle Musikgenres. Getestet habe ich also außer Black Metal alles was es so gibt, von Paul Potts, über Jazz, Pop, Hard Rock, Klassik (Vivaldi) usw.usf.! Kabelgebundene Hörer, die über 500 € bis an die 1000 und darüber liegen lasse ich komplett außen vor, da Äpfel keine Birnen werden!

Zum Ersten : B&W PX, PX 7. Beim PX guter Eindruck, aber sehr schlechter Sitz (subjektiv- siehe Ohren!). Sie sehen nicht nur super aus, sondern sind recht luftdurchlässig und ein wenig kühler. Allerdings gibt es hier einen hohen Anpressdruck und durch schlanke Polster ist das eher nicht so bequem, dafür aber nach dem Einspielen ein TOP -Klang, mir zuerst zwar zu neutral, aber, wie hier schon jemand rezensierte, dann ein „klangliches Einzelstück“. Er hat Temperament und hat, für mich jedenfalls, das gewisse Etwas, was den meisten anderen, wie z.B. SONY und BOSE, sehr wohl fehlt. Die App ist recht minimal gehalten und enthält nur das, was ich wirklich brauche. ANC in drei Stufen, wobei die MAX dann den Klang negativ beeinflußt. Es gibt bessere ANC’s, aber keine bessere Windreduktion wie bei diesen.
PX 7 ist ein bisschen besser im Sitz, aber der Klang begeisterte mich nicht zu 100 %, obwohl er bei bestimmten Musiken sogar ein wenig besser klingt! Andere Musikstücke klingen einfach fürchterlich, - zumindest im Gesang und den Höhen…..

Zum Zweiten : Bose QC 45 und SoundLink! Beide für mich sehr passig und leicht, ANC beim Soundlink nicht vorhanden, aber dafür beim QC 45 umso besser, um nicht zu sagen genial. Der Ton ist ein bisschen dumpf bzw. nicht ganz stimmig in den Mitten, die damit auch die Höhen etwas überlagern. Der SoundLink klingt für mein Gehör sogar noch etwas besser….. Auf alle Fälle ist das Gesamtbild im Gegensatz zu B&W, aber auch zu den Momentum ein wenig schwammig, nicht schlecht eben, aber „zu allgemein“!

Dritter Versuch war dann : Sony WH 1000 xm3 . Betont wird immer, dass er zu viel Bass habe, aber im Vergleich zum Bose und PX7 war er für mich ein wenig harmlos. Dafür empfinde ich den Klang als relativ ok, aber nicht wirklich lebendig und stimmig. Ein Sony eben! Zugegeben, leicht und recht angenehm zu tragen, aber auch unmittelbar am Ohr. ANC ist SUPER. Bei geöffneten Fenstern mit Verkehrs- und sogar Eisenbahnlärm wird beinahe nichts durchgelassen. Fürs Büro der HIT. App recht umfangreich und zudem auch 3D- klangfähig….. Aber Windgeräusche und Fahrrad kann er eben nicht !!!!

Ich könnte noch einige Hörer zitieren und beschreiben, - dazu aber meine restlichen Rezensionen und zugegeben, es war KEIN High End Gerät dabei!!!

Aber auch an Position VIER Kein High End : Momentum 3: Etwas günstiger im Preis, weil der Vierer schon raus ist! Meiner Meinung nach ein wirklich toller Klang. Wirklich alles klingt gut mit ihm: Pop, Klassik, Jazz, Rap, Techno usw. Nicht ganz so dynamisch wie der PX, den ich für diesen Kopfhörer verkauft habe! Für mich mehr oder weniger ermüdungsfrei und mit einem wuchtigen Bass, der betont ist, aber eben auch nichts übertreibt! Es wird nichts verschluckt. Die Vierer haben ebenfalls einen „sagenhaften" Klang, sind aber, meiner Meinung nach, kein wirklicher Schritt nach vorn, weil Erstens keine wirklichen SENNHEISER mehr (Fa. inzwischen mit neuem Besitzer und da hat der NEUE eben auch nicht viel mit den Ursprüngen „am Hut“!) und Zweitens Design oberflächlich und eben jetzt Plastik, hochwertig ist da anders! Sennheiser kann (konnte!) Kopfhörer bauen, aber ob die Vierer Momentum vollwertige Sennheiser werden und sind…….! Das allerdings nur am Rande. Gekauft hätte ich sie eh nicht, da hier mein Ohrproblem wiederum zum Tragen kommt, denn sie passen geradeso, sind also größentechnisch fast dem PX gleichzusetzen!

Zurück zum M3 : das ANC funktioniert zwar, ist aber einfach schlechter als bei B&W, Bose und Sony. Zudem hatte ich Verbindungsabbrüche während der Erstbenutzung festgestell, das wurde aber besser. Ein update der App rachte wahrscheinlich den “Durchbruch”!, - Er ist die Vier Sterne wert und heute (Nachtrag!) vergebe ich auch den fünften, OBWOHL ICH MIT ANC IMMER NOCH SO MEINE PROBLEME HABE…

Fazit: Musik hören mit bisschen ANC macht der Sennheiser sicher auch, obwohl er’s wahrlich besser kônnte!! Klanglich verdammt nah am „High End“ für mich. Ich nutze ihn jetzt lange und gern!!!

Beim Sport bevorzuge ich einen Jabra inEar, weil super leicht und bei Telefonaten das Absolute überhaupt. Dafür wäre der M3 einfach zu groß und schweißresistent ist er eben auch nicht und will ich mich abschotten, nehme ich meinen SoundLink und wenn ich den DJ gebe dann Beringer, OneOdio oder auch Hercules!

Danke an Amazon auch nochmals, dass man etwas testen kann, bevor man sich entscheidet….. - ICH habe mich nämlich nach vier Wochen entschieden und gliedere den Kopfhörer in meine „kleine Sammlung“ ein! Also mein Nachbericht positiv !!! Ich behalte den 3er und wenn jemand an einem voluminösen, dafür aber gut trennenden (Höhen Mitten Bass!) Kopfhörer interessiert ist, dann kann ich diesen Hörer wärmstens empfehlen!

Ljudet, koppling till blåtand m.m. är bra och fungerar smidigt.
ANC är inte perfekt men fungerar bra för mitt behov.
Dock sitter de väldigt hårt mot huvudet. (Har ej ett stort huvud).
Fungerar att köra trådat med bibehållen volymreglage m.m vilket är en bonus.
Trådat ljud är bättre än med Blåtand.
Fungerar dåligt tillsammans med blåtandsadapter Avantree DG80 men jättebra med telefonens blåtand.

Hade lurarna suttit mer bekvämt hade betyget blivit en 4a.

Tillägg: Efter ett par månader sitter lurarna inte lika hårt och mer bekvämt på huvudet. Detta gör lurarna bättre än 3 stjärnor så därför höjer jag till 4 stjärnor men man bör vara beredd och medveten om att de sitter hårt när de är nya.

Écoutez votre musique pendant des heures avec ce casque ultra-confortable

J'utilise mon Senheiser Momentum 3 depuis maintenant 1 mois. Il est tellement pratique et confortable que je n'ai jamais autant écouté de musique: plusieurs heures par jour désormais. Je voulais un casque de qualité, mes critères principaux étant (1) la qualité du son (2) le confort (3) réduction du bruit ambiant. J'ai hésité car le prix est conséquent, mais je le conseille vivement à ceux qui décident de se l'offrir.

Les plus:
(+) Qualité audio: j'avais déjà un Senheiser avant, mais la première fois que j'ai utilisé celui-ci, j'ai été bluffée par la qualité du son. Les instruments ressortent nettement mieux (le timbre des instruments est plus "pur"). Senheiser est une marque réputée pour les audiophiles 😉
(+) Confort: avec le télétravail, je passe la majorité de mes journées en écoutant de la musique en travaillant. J'utilise donc le casque +4h par jour. Les oreillettes sont confortables, faites d'un cuir de qualité. Le casque est un peu lourd donc il faut éviter de trop baisser la tête, mais ça ne dérange pas lorsqu'on travaille sur PC.
(+) Réduction de bruit: il paraît qu'il existe mieux sur le marché (Bose), mais je suis satisfaite du Senheiser Momentum 3. Pour donner une idée, avec la réduction de bruit maximale, je peux passer l'aspirateur en écoutant de la musique sans devoir trop monter le son. Je n'ai jamais eu à monter le son de plus de 3 crans (alors qu'avec des écouteurs classiques j'étais à 9-10 crans).
(+) Casque intelligent: il s'allume/s'éteint quand on l'ouvre/le replie. Lorsqu'on le met autour du cou il pause la musique! C'est très intelligent et pratique, bravo Senheiser.

Les moins:
(-) Commandes: le casque est sensible à nos actions (par exemple il pause quand on le met autour du cou), mais parfois trop sensible: c'est frustrant lorsque je replace délicatement une oreillette et que le son s'arrête...
(-) Taille: il est gros. Sur ma tête en tout cas, il a l'air gros 🙃 Il n'a clairement pas été conçu pour les déplacements ou le voyage: il prend énormément de place dans un sac à main.
(-) Qualité du micro. Je l'ai acheté surtout pour écouter de la musique, mais j'ai été surprise lorsque j'ai dû réaliser des enregistrements audio, et que la qualité du son était aussi mauvaise pour un casque premium (lorsqu'on baisse légèrement de ton, par exemple en fin de phrase, les mots deviennent inaudibles). Aussi, je déconseille d'effectuer des appels; le rendu du son est assez désagréable: ce n'est pas un casque de travail, c'est pour écouter de la musique.
(-) Pas de housse de voyage. Peut être par ce qu'il n'est pas destiné aux voyages, le casque arrive dans une housse en tissu qui ne permet pas de le protéger correctement, si on veut emporter son casque en voyage par exemple. Ils ne vendent même pas de housse sur le site de Senheiser!

Autres conseils:
- bien nettoyer les oreillettes après chaque utilisation pour préserver le cuir
- veillez à disposer d'un câble USB C afin de pouvoir le charger
- téléchargez l'application Senheiser. Vous pourrez régler les paramètres de réduction de bruit (maximum, anti-pression, anti-wind...)
