After 3 Years of Using This I Found Several Issues!

After 3 Years of Using This I Found Several Issues!
*EDITED*I've had this MP3 player for 3 years now... There are some things that I dislike about this player that has me wanting to search for something else.First of all, why is this thing so damn expensive. I got it at $220 back in 2019... Now it's almost $400?! I regret spending so much, MP3 players are becoming obsolete but that price is just ridiculous.I crave buttons. I hate touch screen so much. (Yes, my cell phone still has buttons--Blackberry). I prefer buttons because I used to be able to navigate my player without having to look at it. Doing this was helpful when you walk down the street, when it's in your pocket and don't want to take it out, and WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING!!!If texting and driving is illegal, so should using this MP3 player. I have to keep glancing down to change the album/artist. This is dangerous. There is no way to change the album/artist on the screen of your car. I wouldn't complain so much if this was an option. (I drive a Toyota).Even if the bluetooth is on and your car has already sync with it, sometimes you have to manually click "Connect to [vehicle]"... and if you're already on the road, you'd have to look down to it, and this is dangerous. I do not typically have this problem with bluetooth headphones. It normally connects automatically without me having to reset the headset. I also do not have problems with bluetooth speakers unless I use the same speakers with another device. So it's really just connecting with my car that is frustrating. I use this connection the most.I get so annoyed turning this thing on and it takes forever and a day to turn on!!! Every time it'll say "Creating Database". Why though! WHY! It feels like it takes 7 minutes to turn on, that's a long time. In reality, it takes a full 30 seconds. That's still a long time.Another annoying thing is it'll shuffle your music!! I HATE THIS! I always like my playlist to be on "Repeat ALL", and I keep it that way because that's how I like it. How in the heck does the setting change on its own to "SHUFFLE". Annoying!!! This is annoying!!!Another annoying thing... and why is this, I don't get it--Once you create a playlist, you are unable to remove or add songs to it. As soon as you're done with putting a list together directly on the device, there is no way to edit it. So that means, if you download more music and would like to add it to a playlist, you cannot do this. Annoying!!I can't even view videos on this.. at least I haven't learned to do that yet. My old school MP3 player showed music videos. But this one cannot. Such a backwards device that costs an arm and a leg. Just use your phones for music, don't bother with this brick. The battery life is a little short in my opinion. After heavy use, I'd have to charge it the very next day. At least it charges fairly quick.I do like that you can change the EQ (you know, intensify the base or treble, etc), you can create a playlist directly on the device, and that it has bluetooth capabilities. BUT THAT'S IT!I do not recommend this product because it is faulty... It's not worth the price especially if you can't use the screen of your car to change the playlist (this could be because of the type of car, I don't know... but the technology is just not there yet, so why the gigantic price tag?!) This is overpriced for what it is. This is highway robbery. MP3 players used to cost $20. I could do without touch screen. I just want something reliable and durable. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sound, it comes with 12GB storage capacity instead of 16 GB
Reviewed in Canada on February 17, 2021
The sound is great, good design and it looks sturdy, so far I have not tested the battery life since I just received it. My only complaint is that it comes with 12GB instead of 16GB. The FM radio works fine. The software that comes with it (downloaded from the Sony website) is rather clunky. I am more inclined to just drag files into the Music folder. It takes about 10 seconds to access the library So far I like it. I also ordered an extra cable and a silicone case to protect it. I think I will have this for a few years.
