I bought the "renewed" version of the Sony WH1000XM3 for a significant discount from the typical $350 price. If you're worried about whether you're still getting the full experience... don't be! I haven't had a single problem with them. These headphones are AWESOME. They've changed my listening habits, whether at the office, at home, or on the go.
Sound quality--fantastic. I listen to a lot of piano music and I've started noticing that I can hear tiny details for the first time, like the pianist breathing or humming. It's eery at first but now I feel like I don't want to listen with anything else.
Noise cancelling--excellent. It's awesome on airplanes, and even drowns out about 70% of the LOUD subway train noise on my commute. There's also an "ambient sound" mode so you can hear the world around you--so when you're walking on the street no one creeps up on you or anything. Easy to switch on/off depending on where you are.
Battery life--great, haven't run out of battery yet. Charges with USB-C which is great so I don't have to keep micro-USB chargers lying around like with many other bluetooth headsets.
Comfort--very good. Fairly light. Working from home these days, I wear them a LOT and all I need to do is occasionally adjust them to spread out the weight on my scalp (an issue with most over-the-ear headphones). They are very cozy--WONDERFUL in winter, they do make my head a tiny bit sweaty on warmer days walking outside... not unpleasant, but I do worry about making the nice faux-leather padding grimy over the long term. I wouldn't recommend exercising in them for this reason, but up to you.
Call quality--fine, good; I hear other people fine and haven't had any complaints about my audio from others. It'll never be as good as a dedicated external microphone, but for 99% of my calls or virtual meetings, it works great and is still better than my macbook's native mic.
Bluetooth pairing is quick and easy with all my devices.

Great sound
I bought these months ago and I still loveeee these. The sound is great and so is the noise cancellation. My only problem is that they don’t turn off automatically when they’re not in use so it wastes the battery a little, other than that there isn’t much to worry about.Highly recommended purchase
