If you're here for audio, these won't disappoint.
Sound is in my opinion, great on these headphones. The frequency range is all present and anyone with their hearing intact will discern the entire spectrum being reproduced. The bass is present, not "boomy", tight, and not overwhelming. The highs are clear, precise, a bit forefront, a little piercing, almost to the point of sibilance. Love it or hate it, if you know B&O's sound signature, this is their characteristic sound. The Beoplay app does allow one to adjust the audio signature if they'd like, so one can get the sound that they like to match the style of music they prefer. The headphones do seem a tad quiet during Bluetooth operations but with it connected via the headphone jack or USB-C (very few headphones support this), audio levels can be increased further. The ANC works well enough but seems to remove some of the audio's mid-range (- half a star) so I only use ANC when I need to. If you're looking for ANC, there are better choices out there. The ear cups, the softest I've ever felt, do a great job of blocking external noise anyways. Speaking of which, the ear cups will fit most people but those with large ears should be wary. The gesture controls are easy to use and work even while wearing gloves. It does take a little getting used to, because "touch controls". The proximity sensors which detect your ears work perfectly fine for me. I take the headphones off, they stop playing music. I put them on, audio resumes as expected. The headphones don't support AptX of any kind, but don't let that be a deal breaker. Apple's iPhone only currently supports AAC which is still a very good audio codec. A Google search will yield plenty of testers, with audio measuring equipment that will demonstrate that one isn't losing anything audio-wise due to AAC. It's such a contradiction to hear other reviews complain that not having AptX is a deal-breaker, yet they then proceed to gush over the audio quality which is absolutely on par with the competition. Unfortunately, the built-in mics don't pick up audio as well as its competitors and using it for phone calls is not particularly good. If you take a lot of calls, these will disappoint and there are better choices out there (- half a star). For extended listening, I found the headband isn't quite as padded as other competitors but small adjustment will resolve that for me. Lastly, the design of the headphones is gorgeous and luxurious. I mean, we're talking lamb skin and memory foam ear cups, matching leather headband, brushed aluminum arms with undiscernible mating points, gliding extensions, smooth points of articulation, and high quality plastics. These headphones are truly a work of art, and beautiful to hold and enjoy. Though these are not the newest piece of tech available, their styling and replaceable parts means one can use them for a very long time. Very few electronics today have user replaceable batteries, and this does! As long as the device is handled with care, the drivers and head band should last a very long time, out-living the wearable parts. Sure, the new H9 3rd Gen's have nearly 30 hours of usage time, but what's the point if you have to replace the entire headphone in one and a half to two years because the batteries no longer hold a charge? In my opinion, these headphones embody how technology should be like today: It marries function, timeless looks, and premium materials, while throwing "forced obsolescence" out the window.

The battery last a long time well over 8 hrs. Also charges fully in a couple hours. The appearance is also very nice. I bought the cream color. This is my 2nd pair of head phones, as my 1st was a pair of Paww. These are way better. The Paww quit charging in less than a year. These headphones are a bit speedy but well worth the quality.

OK so I just get these from Amazon today. The sound is truly amazing. I usually listen to mostly soundtracks, broadway and vocals. I started listening to a few of my favorites and can’t believe all the new sound I’ve never heard before. Every single instrument from the lows to mid range to the very highs are crystal clear. It’s like hearing sound for the first time. I’m not concerned about battery life so I rated it high anyway. I’m going to have to spend more time trying to figure out how to use the touch controls on the right ear. I can’t seem to get a handle on it so right now I’m using my iPhone or iPad devices to control volume and song selection. The touch controls either work or don’t. I find that a little annoying. If your more interested in the quality of the sound like I was, get these. The sound is fantastic. When you put the headphones on the background noise is totaly eliminated.

Update: after using these for 2 days, I could not get the touch control on the right ear to work. 99% of the time nothing would happen. I returned them to Amazon. I purchased another set of these headphones locally so I could try them first to make sure the touch controls worked. They did work without any issue. I still love the sound from these.

My previous most expensive headphone was the sennheiser HD BT4.40. This H9i I got was phenomenal.

I'm no audiophile but I can hear every sound distinctly from every song. The bass was solid without being too "forced" or altered. The vocal was distinctly clear and crisp. The high did not sound tinny nor too sharp to the ear.

Price was it is definitely more expensive than the rest in the competition such the the sony 1000xm3. However, bear in mind you are paying to the build material and the name of the brand too.

Comfort was I would say its somewhat the weaker point of this headphone. I find it comforting for the 1st hour but after that, I noticed that the padding was slightly not thick enough and my ear felt strained due to the driver pushing on the bone of my ear. Don't get me wrong, it is still a comfortable pair of headphone but comfort-wise it has lost to the sony 100xm3(which my friend bought).

I bought these ones in March and the sounds is good, they are very comfortable, the battery lasts a long time and they look great! The only problem is that they are the only headphones that seem to stop playing music if you move your head much. For example, when I take them on flights, tilting my head causes playback to stop. It's the most annoying thing as I cannot watch or listen to music without interruptions in a flight. This only happens when using bluetooth. I think the headphones are trying to be too smart and are too sensitive to motion. If I'm chewing, they will likely stop playing as well. I have not had this problem with other bluetooth headphones and I have updated my headphones to the latest SW version hoping they would fix this but they still don't work well.

Touch, App, Update... Keine Probleme.

    Hallo an alle Interessenten.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cuffie bluetooth dalla qualità eccezionale
Reviewed in Italy on October 5, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Great headphones
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2019
The reason why I chose the H9i over Sony and Bose was the build quality, which certainly lives up to the name of the brand.
While the controls can be frustrating sometimes, they are not hard to get used to. Also, everything can be done via the phone app.
The sound quality is great - maybe slightly heavy on the bass, which I don't mind - and noise-cancellation works perfectly for the average user - it can completely tune out sounds like London boulevard traffic or office background noise.
