There is so much to say about this movie. Suffice enough to say, it is entertaining enough to give it a shot. But if you choose to watch this in 4k get ready for a treat. There are scenes in this movie that just make your jaw drop open. If I recall this move was film at 60fps. Which along with the 4K makes this movie truly "eye candy". The plot is good, Smith's co-stars are good, and the action sequences are great. Technically speaking it is ahead of the curve. Watch and have some popcorn.

It can at times be a little farfetched, but all in all good acting, great special effects and was very entertaining. Good all-around movie and would highly recommend.

I'll get it out of the way: I don't like this movie. For so much ambition, it feels strangely small and ends on a really weird note. The movie is mixing a lot of ingredients and they don't gel. Part of that can be pointed at everything that makes this film a unique experience -which is why I'm recommending this disc.
"Gemini Man" is one of a handful of movies in history that was shot in a frame-rate above the standard 24. This process has always been mired in controversy either because it isn't what we're used to or because there really is something inherently special about the way 24 frames-per-second looks - and any increase in motion quality takes us out of its spell.
While I'm tempted to agree (my tv has every type of motion interpolation turned off), I've always asked why a movie can't be something resembling a live broadcast or a video game. So whenever a movie is actually giving us that "soap-opera effect" because it was actually shot that way, I'm there. I want to see what works and what doesn't. To my surprise, there's a lot in "Gemini Man" that excited me in 120fps 4k 3D in the theater and the experience largely carries over in the 60 fps experience this UHD disc gives you.
There is a motorcycle chase so riveting, I was completely taken out of it when it featured a slo-mo shot (something that I think goes against the reason for shooting in an elevated motion quality). The travelogue aesthetic of the movie also makes it a hell of a demo disc for your home theater. And this movie's other major gimmick involves a de-aged Will Smith as a clone of the main character and it is easily the most astonishing example of mo-cap human replication I have ever seen. The fact that it holds up in high-frame-rate is a testament to all the work that went into the effect.
On the other hand, I have observed that higher motion quality has a tendency to bring out the artificiality in a movie. Everything from a digitally-enhanced landscape shot to a hammy performance from a character actor comes across as awkward and It's really convenient that the accompanying blu-ray features the down-converted 24 fps version for comparison -because these things don't stand out as much when viewed traditionally.
Still, in either format "Gemini Man" doesn't really work and it's a far cry from the greatness for which its director Ang Lee is known, but it would be a crime to ignore it. For those curious about new approaches to spectacle filmmaking there is a very ambitious experience here with two ways to watch it as well as thorough making-of features. I found it to be a worthy purchase.

Not only is Gemini Man a gripping, fascinating movie, but so too is its technology. I've never seen a better quality video or audio recording period. This UHD 4k disk is special...like no other I've seen! Great care was used to produce this movie with gorgeous Dolby ATMOS, exceptional 4k clarity, stunning HDR, and at 60fps instead of the standard 24fps. Now I'm spoiled, this is the new standard; Gemini Man blew my mind! If only all movies looked and sounded this good. This disk blows all others away!

The acting is first rate; Will Smith at his finest, he really set a very high bar for his performances...excellent! The supporting cast was also excellent, together they made the story engrossing and believable. Special effects and fight scenes were cutting edge, the stunts were mind blowing, and the pace searing!

I should also stipulate that I watched this movie by myself with no distraction on a brand new LG CX 77" OLED, a state of the art UHD PANASONIC DP-UB820 Blu-ray player with dual HDMI High Speed cabling (one for Video, the other for Audio) and a new YAMAHA ATMOS receiver with an SVS sound system with dual subs. This combination of hardware can handle the massive 81GB of data in the movie.

I store all of my movies on a QNAP NAS and use it as a DLNA server and send them over CAT6 to my LG. I copy my UHD disks to the NAS as an .mkv file. Gemini Man is by far larger than any other mkv at 81GB. Unfortunately, it stalls very briefly running across the cabling (forget trying to stream with wi-fi). So I watched it using the Panasonic. If you use a NAS in this way for your movies, you will probably have to connect it directly to the TV with a high speed HDMI cable.

Gemini Man is unquestionably my new test disk to push my system to its limit. It was a glorious experience watching this movie. You'll never see a better looking production. THANK YOU DIRECTOR ANG LEE!!!

Hablando del apartado técnico es brutal viene en 4k nativo, 60fps y dolby visión ( aunque fue grabada a 120fps) y la verdad es increíble el nivel de detalle y nitidez de todo.
El dolby visión es también brutal. los niveles de brillo son increíbles en las escenas de día se ve todo resplandeciente. los objetos metálicos brillan con reflejos alucinantes y las escenas de noche se ven increíbles los contrastes de negros perfectos y las luces súper brillantes son geniales. Los colores se ven super vibrantes con rojos carmesi, azules eléctricos, violetas y verdes zafiro es hermoso.
y que decir de los 60fps son una maravilla, hace que todo se ve más nítido, sobretodo en las escenas rapidas de acción que puedes ver cada detalle. y los paneos se ven increíblemente suaves.

Lo único malo es que con los 60fps se nota más lo irregular y por momentos mal que es el CGI sobre todo en la cara de Will Smith joven. ya que en partes se ve súper falsa y como que no tiene un movimiento natural que se sincronice con el cuerpo de manera real.

el audio es increíble tiene un dolby atmos bien hecho y muy imersivo.
Tiene doblaje en español latino dolby digital 5.1

En conclusión es una maravilla y un auténtico tech demo para las pantallas y reproductores 4k, creo que todos deberían tener esta versión 4k para ver y mostrar de lo que es capaz este formato.
