They're are some story discrepancies with her history, but they're nothing major and they certainly don't take away from the narrative of this chapter. The mechanics are an upgrade from the previous games (and I even looked those mechanics) and all aspects of the game are super fun. There are some glitchy achievements right now, but those should be patched soon.

As for this specific version, the case is awesome and sturdy. I ended up not really using the bonus content other than the bow in the earlier areas as they just don't have the best perks. They're cool looking though and I'm good to have them.

If you're a Croft fan, this is the version for you

If you liked the previous 2 Tomb Raider games you’ll love this one. It takes off where Rise left off. The graphics are stunning and gameplay pretty much feels like Rise of Tomb Raider - maybe slightly smoother with added features.

Not sure what some of the whiny reviewers are talking about with glitches, ugly face, blah, blah, blah. Not sure what they’re watching on but on a 4K TV it looks awesome. I have finished the game and may have noticed a couple glitches, I’m not really sure. There were a couple times it felt like I was stuck between a rock and a tree but I was released so quick I wasn’t sure it was a glitch. This game is about as glitch free as you can ever expect to get.

Relative to a couple reviewers complaining about Lauras face, you get the option to wear outfits that Laura used in her previous games going way back. Whenever you changed Laura into any of those outfits her face and body also changed to correspond to how she looked in those games. As long as you only used the new outfits created specifically for the new game her face looked good. Some complained about constant hints for everything. If you don’t want hints, turn them off in the options menu. Didn’t take a rocket scientists to figure this stuff out when playing the game.

Most of the whiny reviewers are the same ones that complains about Assassins Creed, RDR2, and pretty much everything else in life. Like I said, if you liked the previous Tomb Raider games you’ll like this one.

Love the game, story could be stronger, but overall a very good action game. Out the three, I like the first game the best. The Croft edition probably not worth to buy yet if you don’t care about the beautiful steel book, which is different from the regular edition steel book. Let’s wait on the dlc. So far only the challenges tombs have been announced, Hopefully there are story dlcs.

Simply an awesome game, it has a few gameplay formula changes which might not be what all people expect, from my side missed a little more action, but on the other hand the character development, Lara's evolution and the exploration and NG+ features compensated just fine. Totally recommend it.
The content of the Croft edition was just as described in the details, very nice cards, the design of the steelbook for me is a 4/5.
Why it doesn't have 5 starts, simply because it took way too long to even ship, I got the item ver late.

Dont listen to anyone giving this a 1 star rating. It has its flaws. It's not perfect. Its also not fortnite.

Reading the other reviews and the nit picky people playing this. Did you know you can turn off game hints? It's in the options game to easy? Try playing on the hardest difficulty.... ha you won't make it.... awkward movements? Yea you probably didn't like mass effect andromeda.

This is probably the last game in the series so all you whiny babies can stop now...

take your time with it enjoy and again Dont listen to the never satisfied complaints. It's the same group of never happy self centered people that probably think Fortnite is the greatest game ever made.

Looks beautiful, controls are good as ever if not a little better. I feel like aiming is a bit easier for me in this version. The exploration is awesome. I loved Rises even though I’m not a fan of snow areas, but This time it’s far better for me. The jungle is done astoundingly.

Pros:
Beautiful, good controls, amazing sound, good outfit variety, very well written, music is on point, facial animations are great.
Cons: rare traversal glitches or where Lara doesn’t grab what she’s supposed to.
The enemy AI is pretty much the same (doesn’t bother me too much)
The Croft Steelbook comes with a digital Soundtrack when I was hoping for a CD.

All in all, if you’re a fan of Tomb Raider or uncharted, this game is for you.
