I purchased my mu-so qb 2 speaker in 2020 and I am still in awe of its sounds three years later. The sound projects and fills my home. Whether it's folk, pop, country, the classics, or hip hop, the speaker makes every artist sound better. And it's not my only speaker in the house. Bowers and Wilkins headphones, Definitive tech surround, Denon receiver, Dali Katch portable, and harmon kardon auto are all parts to my collection. But my Naim is the jewel. Highly recommend.

I have tried so many speakers; this is one I returned. It was too expensive and did not sound as well as their larger unit; I have one of those in my living room as my main TV sound bar. Their product needs a proper equalizer to control the bass and treble. You must like to spend the high dollar amount requested to obtain this speaker. There are better options for half the cost.

Great Sound System Horrible Remote

I love this sound system! However the cheap remote that comes with it is frustrating. I have to remove the cover for the battery & press on the battery in order for it to operate the speaker. Unfortunately, Cox doesn't have the codes to program the Cox remote to operate the Naim speaker.

The control interface is bad: For example using the volume does not always "catch" the finger movement. The input selectors are a nuisance and not clear which is what.
I could live with it but:
The Blue Tooth input take a long time to set, and the pairing has to be to be done every time I connect. So at the end I decided to use the direct 1/8" input.
And now the mail problem:
The sound is far from what I would expect at this price range. Granted, this could be partially because I am using an iPhone (10) as my source, and the non-digital input of 1/8" plug connection (but I did not see improvement using the Blue Tooth connection either!). Compared with other speakers I have, the sound is inferior. The other speakers are: Bose 901, Mackie MR8 Studio monitors, and Fostex PM-2. Only the Bose speakers are at this price range, the other ones cost way less!

Worst streaming device on the market

I chose this product because Naim has a great reputation in the HiFi sector and I wanted a better streaming device that HomePod. I actually bought 2 of them (doubling my 'fun').
While audio quality is nice, but not significantly better (imo) than HomePod, I've had nothing but problems with either or both of the devices dropping from wifi, in spite of the fact that one of them sits next to the primary wireless router and the other on right next to the repeater. I basically have to reset devices every time I want to use them :-(.. The iOS app is completely unintuitive and on top of that doesn't seem to come with any documentation (at least I couldn't find any) - a bad combination..
Station pre-sets seem to be device specific, rather than global across devices - another solid nuisance, aggravated by the fact that resetting the device apparently requires setting pre-sets again.
Overall a solid disaster, in particular if you consider the price tag. Definitely not recommended

I previously used Mu-so 2 in my living room, and decided to buy a QB 2 for my bed/study room. I’d recommend mu-so 2 given this price gap, but qb 2 is a perfect and easy solution for a small room setting. Easy to set up with Airplay and Chromecast. I know its app is not the best when compared to other straming apps, but it’s best among apps from all hi-fi companies.

If only the Naim app could control the Naim product it would be ok

Arrived with 3 small cheap plastic feet rather than 4, Found the 4th loose in the wrapping. Naim obviously use a special glue, once the foot has fallen off it stays off. The wonderful app works once, but don't expect to use it twice. Deleted it, reinstalled it, and it stops working after 30 seconds, restart it and it last about 2 seconds. Maybe Naim have never tried it with an apple 5g phone. Maybe it works with a British phone. Don't plug any usb stick with music into it, since you cannot control it, it simply plays in the same tracks in the same order every time, maybe if you had a working app that might change, who knows ! Save your money, its not worth the hassle.

Shipping was quick from supplier. Supplier reached out to me when the unit was sent which is very professional. Unit had a slight problem when I was updating software it got stuck in a reloop. Naim responded with a fix within a day. The unit works very well on wifi and a direct network connect. Naim app is easy to use and lets you save presets for fast play later. Unit overall sounds good, maybe missing a little low end bass but overall good. Excellent interface for Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, and internet radio.
