3.0 out of 5 starsAcceptable Choice For Second Pair of Sound Magic.

The good news: my last pair, the E10C lasted at least 4 years with daily use (phone calls, music listening). The less than good news: I HATE the material used to line the cables on the E11C. Before buying I read a review in the trades, claiming the E11C cables were less "clingy," which encouraged me to buy. Same reviewer mentioned improved sound quality. My E11C's knot like crazy and grab onto literally anything that comes even remotely into contact--causing me to curse a lot more than my usual generous amount.
I can't say that my music sounds any better, or my calls.
Woohoo, they've added pause/volume controls on the cable for 11C that feel too diminutive for long fingers/large hands--what a "giant" leap forward. I needed new earphones, because my previous pair simply crapped out after an unusually long service life. The E11C were the "best" I could find in this crowded price bracket. I hope they last as long as my previous pair/model, because longevity seems to be the best feature mentionable. If only people did mind the profound difference between "change" and "progress."
6 month-update: it's unofficially official: the E11C's cables are made of silly-string. In a less imperfect world swift and exacting retribution would be meted out to the manufacturer and their "R&D" in particular for choosing such a miserable plastic concoction. Middle fingers and toes-UP to you, Sound Magic.
