Convenient and unobtrusive, the Fender FT-1 Professional Clip On Tuner is a multi-function guitar tuner clip on. It helps ensure your instrument is always in tune, even on a dark stage. This clip on tuner for guitar handles noisy environments with ease thanks to its built-in vibration sensor. The LCD display’s easy-to-read needle indicates how close to pitch a note is, and the screen's backlight turns green once the note is in tune. The FT-1’s dual-hinge design allows you to mount the clip on guitar tuner on either side of your instrument's headstock. The full-range chromatic tuner is ideal as an electric guitar tuner, bass guitar tuner, or acoustic guitar tuner, with A4 calibration for A440 +/- 1 cent accuracy. Enjoy guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, and chromatic tuning modes, as well as a B0 to B7 tuning range. The guitar tuner clip on includes a CR2032 battery. Its dimensions are 0.5x1x1 inches and it weighs 0.1lbs

Bright, easier to read, larger display than several I've tried. Decent accuracy; I think it's effective (I have a pretty good ear but like to use a tuner as I can get my guitars in tune faster). Strong clip with a good spring but made so I can get enough leverage on it; the finger grips are concave so the tuner is easy to grasp by them, and that makes it easier to open the clip without my fingers slipping off and the tuner flinging into the air. The rubber pads on the clip's grippers are substantially formed and help keep the tuner in place even on a smooth surface. Sturdy swivel, and a not too difficult to see switch on the front of the device (don't have to feel around on the back or use switches that are recessed, which makes it less awkward to depress). If you still have a hard time seeing the switch, put a little colored tape on it or paint that's safe for plastic surfaces; it's raised and big enough so it's easy to feel, and the action isn't sloppy, it's tight. You won't have to worry much about activating the tuner or changing the setting by accident. The battery is a good quality, large watch type and is easy to install. The battery tray is easy to slide out but is secure when it's fully slid back into the tuner body. If it isn't picking up the sound of the strings, you may not be striking the strings hard enough; give it more vibration to detect - but so far this has proven to be sensitive and I have guitars with thick headstocks. There are instructions that come with the tuner, and if the print is too small for you, scan them or print them so you can make it easier to read for yourself. I've purchased two of these and will buy more when I need them, I think they're well constructed (don't feel flimsy or delicate) and a good value :)

I've been playing stringed instruments since 2006, and in that same year, I bought a Korg tuner. It was great because it took regular input (play your instrument, it listens) it would give you a tone to match, or if you played an electric instrument you could plug in and play direct to the turner while others are playing and tuning and not be disturbed. This was great back in the day because I also play saxophone and could use this to get that in tune. Now I play my saxophones less, so tuning my stringed instruments is more important. This device is fast, easy, simple to understand, and has multiple modes. because it's based on vibration, you get a more accurate result when you tune. Though I loved my Korg, and keep it at home for use still, this little tuner hits the road with me all the time now, and I've never been happier!

The tuner has a setting for guitar, bass, violin, cello, and ukulele. Easy to use and very accurate, but if you are downtuning your instrument it will not detect the note. The tuner will assume you are attempting to tune a different string. (Example: tuning my low 4rth bass string to D standard, it assumes Im tuning a 5th string to B standard). I cannot stress enough that this is a very accurate tuner and very good for its price...but useless if you are tuning outside your instrument's standard tuning. With this in mind, this may be the perfect tuner for you, or it may be of no use to you. 4 stars.

This tuner does what it should do. It tunes. Has various settings for guitar, bass, uke, and chromatic (all notes). Basic clip with a swivel so it can be read at any angle. The screen isn’t particularly bright, but it’s good enough for outdoor use, maybe better in the shade than in the sun. It’s small and simple to leave on the headstock or tuck into a pocket. The small size makes it easy to store in the case pocket when not in use. The battery life seems to be on par with most tuners of this type. Always good to throw a spare battery in the case…. just in case. You can certainly spend much more, but you’ll get basically the same accuracy and quality as this little guy delivers.

On first view I really thought this product was cheap but that was me judging the packaging and the overall size of the thing. Once I powered it on and got it onto the headstock of my bass, this thing rocketed through the tuning process! Aesthetics be damned, this thing is all about function over form and it does it on a budget! I’m absolutely floored by this tuner especially when compared to the offerings which are double the price and don’t offer anywhere close to this tuners level of performance and ease/simplicity of use.
