Amp Simulation

A highly refined sigmoid curve clipper re-creates the smooth clipping of a tube amp's waveform. This allows the MS-50G to simulate amplifier sounds, including clean, crunch and full-gain drive tones that are authentic to the original models while maintaining the nuances of picking and strumming techniques.

Model Your Sound

The MS-50G's eight super-real amp models range from vintage gear to the latest trends in amp technology, each with its own distinct cabinet modeling that can be used to alter its tone characteristics. In addition, you can pair any of the available amp models with any of the available cabinet models and let you're creativity run wild. Power a VX JMI 2x12 cabinet with a Delux-R amp, or combine the MS 1859 amp and the DZ Drive 4x12 cabinet. It's up to you! The MS-50G also provides you with the versatility to match the output of a given amp/cabinet model to whatever you're playing through (Line, Combo Front, Stack Front, Combo Power Amp, Stock Power Amp).

The Most Realistic Sounds to Date

The all-new ZFX-IV DSP effects processor boasts amazing power and clarity, upgrading everything from sound to functionality over previous ZFX versions. By using 32-bit floating-point processing, the MS-50G can produce sounds that are more realistic than ever before.

Program which patches are recalled and the order in which they appear
All the Classic Stomps in One

The MS-50G offers 47 diverse types of effects, including some of the world's most popular stompbox guitar pedals and rack-mounted processors. The pedal's wide range of effects includes distortion, compression, modulation, delay and reverb.

Up to Six Simultaneous Effects

With the MS-50G, you can use up to six stompbox and amp effects simultaneously and arrange them in any order you like. This allows you the freedom to build complex tones, as well as the ability to bring individual elements in and out of the effects chain as you like.

Presets Right Out of the Box

Right out-of-the-box, the MS-50G allows you to create and store up to 50 of your original patches. To get you started, 30 of these patches are preprogrammed and form a versatile collection of guitar sounds that include some of the world's greatest stompbox and amp effects.

Pick Your Patch Order

With the MS-50G, you can program which patches are recalled and the order in which they appear. For example, you could select three patches'(A) CLEAN TONE, (B) HEAVY RIFF and (C) LEAD SOLO'and program the MS-50G to cycle through only those three tones each time you press the footswitch.

Smaller Boards, Bigger Tones

Perfect for use in combination with traditional stompboxes, the MS-50G can be added to your pedalboard to decrease the size and complexity of your setup, while expanding your system's effects and modeling capabilities.

Precise Tuning

The pedal's highly accurate auto-chromatic tuner offers smooth, real-time response, which makes turning your guitar effortless. When you're in the middle of a performance or practicing alone, simply hold down the pedal's footswitch to start getting your strings back in tune. In addition, the MS-50G's LCD makes the tuner easy to see on a dark stage. You can also tune silently in the tuner's MUTE mode or with all effects bypassed in its BYPASS mode.

Power Proof

Providing versatile power options, the MS-50G operates via AC adapter (sold separately), as well as battery power. Two standard AA batteries (included) provide up to seven hours of continuous mono input use and up to five hours of continuous operation when using the stereo inputs.

It's like a Swiss Army Knife for guitar and keyboards
4 Stars
It's like a Swiss Army Knife for guitar and keyboards
Pros: compact, lots of effects, simple to use, fantastic modulation, reverb and delay models, up to six simultaneous effects. Up to 50 preset banks to cycle through, and up to 26 banks can be cycled through via the footswitch. Very versatile and a useful studio/recording tool.Cons: midi support is limited, amp models and OD/Distortion effects are adequate, the pedal functionality is not ideal for live use for guitar players.I do have this pedal on my guitar pedalboard. It is set up using only one preset bank with an "always on" reverb, and a chorus that can be toggled on/off with the footswitch as well as some other effects in the chain that can be turned on, but not really on the fly as a guitar player would like in a live situation since cycling through the effects in the chain is done via the cursor buttons. That requires bending over and using your fingers on the cursor buttons which is awkward on stage. Keyboard players would probably be ok with this since they usually have their pedals off the floor. Alternately you can set up separate effect banks and use the footswitch to cycle through the banks, but in that mode you can't turn effects on or off so there is a trade off. Better midi implementation could fix those issues, but at this price point that's asking a lot. Despite those limitations this is a great pedal. Most of the reverb, modulation and delay effects are superb and the amp models and drive effects are usable if not on par with current modelers. For recording, jamming with friends and practicing this will do the job without breaking the bank.

Im an true analog guy. But when I grabbed this pedal I was blown away. This little thing packs a lot of serious effects for its size. A lot of which do not sound to digital. I was amazed at the tones I could pull out of it. For $99- it is a steal. I would pay twice that for what this pedal does. Easy to navigate and understand. Small enough to fit on any pedalboard. Easily hooks up to the computer to download custom patches. If you're looking for a multi effects stomp box, look no farther than the Zoom MS-50G. Well worth the $99.00. Can easily set it up for live situations. Of course you're not gonna get all the effects at a drop of a dime. But I set mine up for a few effects I use live. Works flawless. When in the studio, this is where the pedal shines. Also it can't be beat for when you're just jamming alone at home. If you're are gigging, of course this isn't going to be your go to pedal, but it does come in handy for some really nice effects. The review before mine, well they should of known this pedal isn't the greatest for live venues. That's why we have pedalboards with all our different effects we can call up with the drop of a foot. I was on the fence about this pedal for a week or so. Went to a local music store, heard and was sold. No one can touch Amazon's price and service. Get off the fence and buy this pedal. I promise you won't be sorry \m/

CONS: No power supply or USB cable. Besides that, the pedal is a bargain and sounds fantastic!

I bought the Zoom MultiStomp after watching a few reviews on YouTube. The pedal sounded awesome and grabbed my attention, especially when I learned that you can upgrade it and add more amps and effects. What really won me over was the ability to put the effects in any order and to use an effect more than once, meaning I could gainstage overdrives or stack choruses or delays. That was the selling point.

This marked my return to using multi-effects after more than a decade away from them and my return to Zoom after almost 20 years away. Actually, my very first effects pedal—a good many years ago now—was a Zoom Player 2020 back in 90s. Later I had the Zoom 9150 Valve DSP, which I really liked, and a friend had the Zoom 9030, which was full of great sounds. Now I've returned to Zoom with the MultiStomp and I also recently picked up a mint used Zoom G3, which I immediately updated online.

I can use up to six effects in any order and even use any type (OD, mod, delay, etc.) more than once (or twice!), which gives the unit a ton of flexibility and gives me a ton of possibilities for all kinds of awesome sounds. The options are plentiful. The only thing I'd like to see changed is to have the Zoom Noise Reduction made global to free up one of the slots as long as it could still be inserted anywhere in the chain. But that's not too big a deal because I'm finding the sounds I want and need with what's available.

It's really a great unit once you figure it out, which wasn't very hard at all. I upgraded the firmware and started adding and deleting effects while only using the manual as a reference when I needed it and I'd never done anything integrating an effects unit with a computer before. I also started programming my effects patches keeping the manual on-hand for reference until I knew my way around. I found a lot of it was pretty intuitive in both cases.

I'm mostly using this for direct recording to a Tascam digital multi-track right now, but I'll also be using it with a Joyo Jam Buddy and a DV Mark Little Jazz. I'm sure it'll play nice with them.

All metal enclosure. Pedal feels solid and like it will last a long time. I like the tuner function and tap tempo. To get the most out of this pedal, you need to go to the Zoom website and download the latest firmware. My pedal updated quickly with no issues. There are "extra" effects, but you have to download the effects manager. This took me awhile to figure out. Zoom should really give more detailed instructions. The update alone WILL NOT automatically install the extra effects. Once you have the effects manager downloaded, you simply connect the pedal to your computer and pull up the manager. You will see all 172 effects listed... you simply check the boxes of the effects you want to install on the pedal, then hit the scan button to install on your pedal. You cannot install all 172, there is not enough memory on the pedal. As you go down the list and check the effects boxes, the manager will keep track and let you know when you're reaching the limit. I have 122 effects installed with a little room to spare. I noticed that if I added effects right up to the limit, I'd get an error message and the effects would not load. I'm using a 2015 MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.7. I hope this is helpful to someone. It took me a few hours to figure this all out. Once I did, I really enjoyed using this pedal even more. There are limitless pedal combinations and tweaking to be had. You can stack up to six effects... and easily move the effects wherever you want in the chain. Chain reads from right to left. Do yourself a big favor and read the instruction manual that comes with the pedal, or it can be confusing. Once you do, the pedal is a joy to use and actually pretty simple to navigate. If you don't want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on individual pedals and a pedal board, then GET THIS PEDAL!

Práctico y versátil es el segundo que tengo, el primero me funcionó por 6 años hasta que cometí el error de alimentarlo por el puerto USB con un cargador de smartfone.
Recomiendo usar siempre el eliminador de 9v adecuado.

This thing is awesome. Easy to use and if you hack the firmware (google it), you can get practically unlimited effects. Love it.

I went for this one instead of all other plastic pedals at this price point because it’s tones are really noiseless and high-quality as that of its older brother Zoom G5 XN it’s very compact and has a metal shell. It’s not that good for beginners it has a learning curve but it’s totally worth it even though it has no loops or drums. Are used to this pedal only for live performances.

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat little unit

I play fiddle for a morris dance side who use amps and modern instruments. As we play in the streets, and often have to move from one location to another, it rules out using multiple pedals, and so this is somewhat of a lifesaver! There are a lot of effects on this pedal, each of which can be tweaked to get the sound you are looking for, and which can easily be combined to create unique sounds. My only complaint is that the user manual isn't very helpful and the system is not exactly intuitive. However, there are a couple of videos on YouTube that made using it a breeze!
