    Beautiful and powerful gaming laptop
Now I have used my x7 pro v5 for over 2 months and it performed extremely well. With its dual gtx970M GPU with 12G VRAM (6G each), it can runs most of the games at over 60 fps at highest graphics settings (games like world of tanks, world of warships, war thunders, etc.). Even for some lastest GPU melting games raise of the tomb raider, this laptop can still handle it at about average 45 fps for highest graphics. Its CPU is also a monster, you can overclock it but I feel like it's not necessary. Also, there is nothing to worry about for its cooling, the fan is powerful. Just remember to shut down your computer when you go sleep, otherwise the sound of fan will really bother you.I wouldn't be that happy if only because of its performance, since some other gaming laptop makers like ASUS or MSI may have better performance machines with lower price. What they don't have is this beautifully designed model; from the image below, considering its performance, just see how thin it is compare to the Retina MacBook Pro 2013. Who doesn't like a thinner laptop? I also like the design that they put the power D/C and one of the USB port on the back, so that there is nothing else on the side when I only plug the mouse. But there is one thing need to notice, in order to use the function key at the top, you will need to download an app called command and control from AORUS.com.If you want good gaming experience and thinner laptop, this is the one for you.

While the laptop is definitely powerful enough to accomplish anything I need it for, while being light and surprisingly quiet and cool, there were a couple issues. The first I received, the keyboard didn't work, which was a minor inconvenience, but Aorus support told me to have it replaced. The 2nd one was DOA, wouldn't even power on, so I sent it back and will be ordering a different laptop.

The Aorus updater, gauges, etc, were all nice features, and overall, if I had recieved a working laptop, this would have been an amazing system. I can't think of a time the fan made much if any noise, even playing gamings on ultra (but I did have it sitting on a cooling pad).

This is a pretty late review as the laptop isn't made any more, but I would like to say my experience with this laptop has been nothing but good, many of the issues I've seen in other reviews have been absent from my own. All the hardware and software that my laptop came with works perfectly, it came with the Aorus Command and control software preinstalled. It is perfect for every game i've played on it including GTA online, PUBG, and both Forza Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7 among the power hungry games i own.

The one thing i have not had the pleasure of dealing with (yet) is Gigabyte support which i will say is a great thing considering that means I've had no issues

i will never buy another aorus gaming laptop. this x7 dt7 has always locked up on me while playing games. cleaned out dust, updated drivers etc. nice specs which is why i bought it, but i can't get thru a game without lock ups. theres other comments on forums about the lock up issue and no solution or response. overpriced and regret buying.

Has one issue that is slightly annoying. It drops the secondary hard drive, and I have to restart it.

Love this laptop, it's so thin and so powerful, GTX970M SLI with 12GB VRAM. I use it at home with 2 other screens and works very well for my work. When I need to go, I just unplug and go, no mess. I use it like a desktop but it's very portable and easy to pack and carry around. I play any games on it and the quality is great, the colors and graphics are clean and crisp no lagging. Couldn't have made a better decision on this powerhouse laptop, I love this beast.
