The included software I'm going to call out right now. It feels clunky and outdated, and the only real useful tool in there is the bios+driver updater tool... that's actually a separate tool from the software itself. I only say that because I never found knowing the exact temperature of my PC to be a big draw for me, as I use a bunch of fans and GPUs with dual fans *shrug* so I've never had an overheating issue myself.
Pros: Bluetooth/Wifi connectors with antennae in the box!
RGB lights on the board are really cute
Fairly easy to assemble despite the instructions being kind of vague. If you know how to put a PC together though it's no big deal, I just get nervous over "what order" and stuff to make sure I don't screw anything up :)
Cons: The price at the time was more than I preferred to spend, but that's not the board's fault.
Extremely disappointed with the "map" / instructions. My old intel mobo had a nice map layout. There were parts unmarked that I had to look up the number of to know what they did (they were not necessary parts, but the label for them wasn't even in the manual).
Included software is obnoxious but you can ignore it. It's not as much of a memory hog as it would have been years ago before 32 GB RAM systems :P
"I am receiving points in the ROG Elite Rewards loyalty program for my review" - this just prompted me to post the review finally, it doesn't taint my thoughts on the product in the least.
- Comes with a removable heatsink that can cover an M.2 SSD, or to just hide it if it's ugly lol.
- RGB are on 24/7 even when PC is off, unless the power is cut, and it is defaulted in a rainbow effect. This can be disabled in the BIOS.
- RGB can be modified with ASUS Aura program. The Team T-Force Night Hawk RAM can be changed with the BLITZ program, which embeds itself into ASUS Aura.
- Place your RAM in A1 and B1 upon initial installation, otherwise you won't get dual channels, and the BIOS has an issue reading RAM if there's none in in the A section. You'll only get single channel, otherwise.
- If you want to change some RAM LEDs, such as the G.Skill TridentZ, enter BIOS and Enable SPD_WRITE in the Tweaks section and/or remove the CMOS battery to reset it.
- The board says it can take two M.2 SSD cards, but I've yet to figure out how to do so, and documentation is limited.

But the antenna is not good design.
Windows 7 does not pair well with this. You will be forced to use Windows 10 if you want anything beyond a frustrating experience.
Asus & Microsoft have the drivers and updates to make Win7 and thge z370-e compatible, it even comes on the installation disc for the mobo, but they've both locked out the possibility of updates save for vast and ridiculous workarounds.
It worked fine with Win7 without any of the drivers as an offline rig, but no wireless internet adapters worked (tried several cheaper Belkin, a couple TP-Link from past computers, and a couple Asus adapters (including the fin this mobo came with). None of them worked, even when the drivers were installed from USB instead of the primary install discs.
It also appears, if you're having trouble with soundcards, the PCI slot just under the first for GPU is best for soundcards. Freaked me out at first, jamming a soundcard directly beneath a heated/OC'd 1080 ti Turbo, but working sound > no sound/dull sound. The slot at the top makes cards sound dull and remote, the one on the bottom does not register them under any circumstances. I tested this with several others (friends' computers) and it's the same deal all around. You should also disable (unplug) the HD Audio for the front side as well as in BIOS for full functionality with Creative soundcards (worst case, uninstall software and rollback drivers, then reinstall full from their website's latest updates). Pieced this fix together through a couple dozen audiophile forums and trial/error.
Does not come with PS/2 connections, so if you're wondering why your new mouse/keyboard only work in BIOS, enable both Legacy and the option below (don't recall it at the moment) -- then once you're all set up with the drivers you can disable both (I tend to leave legacy on when I'm not gaming online, as a failsafe).
If you have anything RAM-wise > 2133MHz, you may have to go into the AI Tweaker section and manually adjust it to read as, say, 3200MHz. I did so with 4*16GB Trident Z RGB 3200's.
Other than above, works perfectly and very responsive.
But it's over Price
