Eight Gigabit Ports Deliver the Fastest Wired Speeds

The switch comes equipped with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports that deliver speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps, or up to 10 times faster than traditional Fast Ethernet. A Quality of Service feature (QoS) lets you prioritize bandwidth for smooth media streaming.

I purchased this originally to network multiple computers to a single router however I ended up using it to connect multiple game consoles and even other network (non-computer) devices to my router and I must say it has NEVER given me any problems. The software you can download from Linksys website is not a straight forward ease of use for people who are not sure what they are doing as it can sometimes confuse individuals.

However if you want a straight connect, ease of setup and use out of the box option this is it!

FANTASTIC. Don't look for the user manual - YOU DON'T NEED IT. There is NOTHING to configure because it does EVERYTHING AUTOMATICALLY! Plug your network cable into the switch, plug your devices into the switch, plug the switch into AC power and walk away! FAST. EASY. BAM! DONE. NETWORK READY NOW!

You have ONE choice to make: blinking lights ON or OFF. I prefer off so I don't see weird lights in my room at night!

NOTE: ONE of the 8 ports is used to connect the switch to your network, the other 7 ports are available to connect devices to the switch, which connects them to your network.

NOTE: This is NOT a modem, not a router, and not a managed switch. It is a simple switch, which is what most home networks need.

My network is pretty complicated for a home, but this switch is a dream! My devices exceed 100mb/s across this switch which is WAY faster than 99.99% of any home networks need. Might not be the best choice for a saturated GB business network, but anyone running such a network should know that.

Does what it says on the tin, and stacks with my WRT1900AC router just fine. Stylish, fast and issue free. Some management would be nice (hence 4 stars), especially for the price, but it does its job very well.

Rather large and bulky for what it does. The price is reasonable for the specs of the unit. If you have a Linksys WRT1900AC wireless router the pair stack nicely and look good together. Still, it could be thinner. I do not understand why it is so thick. Again, the pair look really good together, probably better than the router by itself.

What a disappointment this was when I opened up the box, got ready to hook it all up and found out it wasn't a wireless unit. Maybe I missed it in the product description as I looked and looked through it to see if it was a wireless receiver or wired. 2 drilled holes later, 25+ feed of ethernet cable, and the unit is up and running. I do enjoy the fact that, with the wired setup, I haven't had any buffering or lag issues since hooking a cord to my TV. Waiting to see how it will work on the Xbox.

Do not buy. Device functions fine. White leds fail very quickly and become so dim you can barely see them. Same goes for the wrt 1200ac router.

Cameras exposure doesn't show how dim these indicator lights really are. The dim ones are barely visible in person.

You get what you pay for, and with this product even more. While this is slightly more expensive than other switches, there are definite advantages to it most notably the speed and uninterrupted signal transfer to connected devices. Setup is extremely easy and the ability to easily hang the product on a wall makes it very easy to integrate into your existing component connections. I was a Linksys customer before, now with their WRT product line, I am an exclusive Linksys WRT customer!

This thing is a huge monster when compared to the old Linksys (Cisco) switches. And works great ! I have had 6 ports being used for upgrading computers and a work VPN connection all going at the same time ...flawless. No waiting what so ever.

Gonna use the 2nd one for two Dell R-610 4 GB port servers on a rack.
Ummmmmm....I'll have to buy a third one for the iDRAC card access. Now that I think about it.

I hope that Belkin read this and would make a wired router. Not every thing needs to be wireless.
