    It works well with what I usually use it for. It runs Clip Studio Paint smoothly, but the pen will disconnect sometimes. It did have an error where the screen went black and you have to restart by holding the volume and power button at the same time for 30 seconds, only a few weeks after I got it. Luckily doesn't seem to have problems after. It runs games slowly and the keyboard is shape is only ok, but it does what it's there for; mobility. Sound is pretty good for a tablet and the screen looks nice. Battery is ok. I like that the charger will easily disconnect so that it doesn't yank it off the table accidentally, but it does fall out kind of easily. It's better for me to charge it when I'm not using it.

    This Surface was sold to me in an unusable state. When I first opened the Surface, it could barely get past the setup phase without critical failure. No USB ports were recognized, nor was the Surface Type Cover. After getting through setup, Windows Update was completely unusable. It took me hours of manually locating missing drivers online (with no mouse or keyboard) to be able to plug in a USB disk, reinstall Windows, and install the appropriate firmware.

    Even after doing *all* that, this Surface is full of bugs. Apps I've purchased work once and then never load again. Critical process dies at random, and frequently. I cannot work on this computer without fear that it will crash and I will lose files entirely (this has already cost me days of work done on scores and assignments).

    I am a music teacher. I love this device's versatility and it would enhance my classroom so much if it just worked properly. I want to keep using a Surface but this is just so demoralizing.
