    Almost perfect!
So for starters, I am not much of a PC gamer. I bought this mouse for the way it looks and the RGB functionality. Also, I really like the button placement. It feels great in my hand. No unnecessary buttons on the side that I accidentally click. I like the cord it comes with (braided but not too thick). The Razer Synapse/Chroma software is not too difficult to use but still confusing (I paired it with my Phillips HUE bridge but had difficulty getting the settings just right. One of my Hue bulbs wouldn't light up at times but I'm not sure if it was the software's fault or mine for not knowing how to use it). I also like the idea of the DPI clutch even though I doubt I will ever use it much. The only problem that really annoys me is that you cannot save Lighting Profiles/Settings to the Mouse's internal memory. So I set up the color I wanted and I thought "this is the perfect mouse!" but shortly after I power cycled my computer it started to do the Rainbow mode on the mouse even though I set it to a static color and even saved the profile to the mouse's internal memory. So basically if the Razer software isn't running the mouse is not going to be displaying the RGB pattern you chose. So when I boot up my computer it is stuck in rainbow mode till the software loads. This really annoys me. I thought it was implied that the hardware profiles would store this info so if I migrated my mouse to another system or didn't have the Razer software running the RGBs would behave like I wanted them to.Pros-Beautiful design-Button placement-Nice RGB-Adjustable scroll wheel resistance-ComfortableCons-Color profiles do not work unless Razer software is running.

I replaced my Logitech G502 with this mouse after it died on me, and I have no regrets. This is an excellent mouse. It’s comfortable, sleek design, lights are nice and bright (but you can change the brightness if it’s too much), and the cord is braided which is a nice feature of wired Razer products.

It feels just like the G502, maybe even better. The side DPI change button (for sniper aiming in FPS games) is such a nice feature. You can also change the resistance of the scroll button if you want it more rigid or smooth gliding. The thumb rest feels comfortable and not in an awkward spot. Although, I do have small hands so I can’t say the same for everyone.

My only complaint is that when I received the item, the bottom of the box was torn and bent, which made me worry a bit. Though when I got the mouse out of the box, there were no visible signs of breakage or scratches or anything missing. The mouse is still working fine.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone who might’ve had the Logitech G502 and are looking for a replacement or just simply in the market for a nice and comfortable mouse for gaming or just simple computer work.

For those who are worried about the Razer Synapse 3 which comes with this mouse, I haven’t had any problems with it crashing. I believe it is still in beta, so I will update this review if I run into any problems regarding the software.

Absolutely stunning are the words I use to describe this mouse. I play alot of CS and I saw this mouse and was skeptical of it because mice like the G403 and the Zowie EC1A exist but honestly there are functions this mouse does that are simply better than those mice. For example the clutch dpi clutch and the hypershift mode for the mouse are some of the best quality of life features for any FPS gamer. As I mentioned I play CS and if you need to pull out any nade I can bind all my nades to either the side buttons or use the clutch to free up the side buttons and instead only use the dpi clutch to pull the nades. Not only that but the mouse has many many more features I won't get into. Essentially you can program it to do pretty much anything on your PC. From opening programs with a push of a button to text prompts. Also has on-board memory for multiple profiles and to top it all of a mouse wheel resistance tab (for a lack of a better word). This mouse is truly one of my favorites ever. The only downside is the slightly higher delay on the buttons, the Logitech mice all have a button delay of 4 milliseconds while the basilisk and most other mice have a delay of 8 milliseconds. This is the only downside for this mouse and isn't a flaw that will hurt your gaming experience that much.

    Pros:
    -Dpi clutch
-Fully customization on the buttons that literally allow you to do anything with the mouse
    -16000 dpi 5G sensor
    -RGB lighting
-Compatible with Razer synapse for all other customization needs
-Tension for the scroll wheel is adjustable, not as much as the free wheeling on something like the G903 but regardless a nice touch

    Cons:
-Mouse is a little on the heavy side but no heavier than it's main competitor the G403
-Slightly worse delay on the buttons than the Logitech mice but no worse than any other mouse competitor
-Razer synapse can be hard to set up but when set up it is pretty straight forward
-This may seem nit picky but alot of gunk can get stuck in between the grooves of the thumb rest but it's hardly noticeable while playing

This is my second Razer mouse mouse. I bought the original Naga back in 2009, and after almost ten years of use (between gaming and surfing, very consistent use) it's just now started to stick. For any hardware to run that long without any real maintenance, is pretty impressive. For that reason alone, I will more than likely never buy anything but a Razer mouse.

I was rather hesitant to buy a different mouse type because I absolutely loved my Naga, so I really took my time shopping through the entire Razer lineup. I have gone through ALL OF THEM, and finally ran into the Basilisk.

I have made the right decision, and if you are reading this, I strongly urge you do the same.

    Here are some reasons why:
    - Hands down, the Basilisk is the most comfortable mouse in Razers lineup. It's size and weight grant comfortable control as well as allowing a variety of different grips in which to wield the mouse.
    - The strong, confident clicks are satisfying
    - The adjustable resistance wheel is easy to use, and allows you to customize your roll, whether that be stiff shifting or a smooth flow.
    - The sensor is second to none, 16,000 is ludicrous to use on a daily basis, but it's nice to have the option. Speaking of which, the software allows easy setup and switching of different DPI speeds with the click of a button

Now to address the biggest complaint I've seen with this mouse: the software.
Though I cannot speak for other users experiences, I had no real issues. The biggest challenge in setup and customization was that Razer Central, was slightly different than Razer Synapse.

Note: Yes, if you have an older Razer keyboard or other Razer hardware, like I do, you'll have to run both. Personally, It doesn't effect my system in the slightest, but if your rig is a potato, perhaps you may experience something different. (this should not deter you from considering this fabulous mouse)

Continuing on, The software was different, big deal. As of today: 5/12/2018, Razer central is running smoothly. The general customization is set up differently than Razer synapse, but it really only took about 3 min to work out some kinks (which were self-inflicted).

In conclusion: If you are looking for an an amazingly comfortable mouse, that is both sexy and righteous, and is unparalleled for multi-functional use (gaming, surfing, and working), Than this is the mouse for you!

First of all, I love the color. The black plastic looks really epic. Then, the the accuracy is mind blowing. Its got a 16,000 DPI sensor, so I guess it was expected. The RGB parts are good too. The scrollwheel and the Razer Logo Light up. Razer says it can display 16.8 million colors but it's not really that vibrant. But otherwise, it's pretty cool looking, especially at night. Razer Synapse can be used to control the performance, calibration, and lighting effects as well, I recommend you to download it. I am using this mouse with my secondary Laptop, which is a Asus TUF Gaming FX505DT.
I used this mouse in FPS Shooters like CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow Six Seige and Squad. It can be used in other games obviously but then the DPI clutch is kinda useless. So, to end my review, I will say this mouse is worth every single rupee I spent and would recommend you people to buy it. I paid the full ₹6,099 for it but I'm sure discounts are available now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ratón de excelente calidad
Reviewed in Mexico on August 10, 2018

5.0 out of 5 stars Read carefully to find if this mouse is for you
Reviewed in India on August 8, 2020
It is a great gaming mouse, but always look if its for, it is not on the heavier side and not ultra lightweight as its a little big in size but not that big yet very ergonomic and feel fantastic in hand, great build quality premium feeling, the dpi preset is a little strange to me as it was an upgrade and it took long enough to get used to it, for casual, simulation, multitask gaming and content creation its the best, but for compatative fps gaming, it would take more tym to get used. The right button a little mushy but still tactile. Side button aligned perfectly with no accidental clicks.
    Averall great product

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good mouse for 'daily' use
Reviewed in India on March 15, 2022
The mouse is really good and accurate. Being a razer product the lighting is top notch, but you need to run Razer synapse in the background to sync the effects.
For gaming it is really good, but i wouldn't recommend it for fps games, its heavy and the glide is bad. It is however good for story games, mmo rpg etc. Tracking is perfect and i haven't had a single issue. Also lift of distance is very low, im a low sensitivity player, so i lift my mouse a lot.
    Cons
->The mouse has inbuilt profiles for button mapping, but it does not save the lighting effects to the profile
->All profiles except the main (white) profile default to 500hz polling rate, if your dont have synapse in the background. If you do, then all of them will be 1000hz/the polling rate you set them to.
->Razer synapse sucks, easy to use but it is very resource heavy and buggy.
->Been using the mouse for almost 2 yrs now, and the side rubber grips are starting to fall off, I tried sticking them with glue multiple times, but it is only making it worse.
->Also the side clutch button is kinda loose, might fall off soon.
