    I use this with the ACASIS 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure (TBU401) + Cable Matters [Intel Certified] 40Gbps Right Angle Thunderbolt 4 Cable 2.6ft + Crucial P3 4TB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD to get read and write speeds around Funny enough the Crucial P3 4TB is rated for 3500MB/s, but as you can see from the screenshot this combo blows past that "maximum". In fact, it matches the speed of my very fast internal M1 drive. The cable you use in these situations DOES matter. I use this to load large libraries from Kontakt, Omnisphere, etc in Ableton on a MacBook Pro M1. Sharing this info bc I had to go through a lot of trial and error to get this performance.

    I cannot speak to gaming as I don't game, but I can report this SSD works very well in an external Thunderbolt 2 enclosure as that's how I'm using it. I have an iMac that's a few years old and the Apple SSD internally is getting a bit up in age and it really wasn't worth the trouble to disassemble the machine just to swap out the SSD on the backside of the motherboard so I instead bought a Thunderbolt enclosure to take advantage of the 20GB Thunderbolt 2 port it has and that's what I installed this SSD into.

    Now on my machine I have a hard speed limit of around 1500MBs just because that's all my Thunderbolt port will support, however this drive more than tops that off so I have absolutely no doubt it would do the full 3500MBs advertised if installed in a machine that supported it.

    However, for me it's blazing fast...the iMac boots incredibly fast, apps open incredibly fast and I have to lay that at the feet of this drive 👍

    O produto é confiável e entrega a velocidade de próximo de 1Gb/s (leitura e escrita) por conta do meu "enclosure" . Eu coloquei o "termal pad" que vem com o produto dividindo-o nas partes da memória. Só atentando que o dispositovo não tem um liga-desliga. A temperatura de funcionamento aqui no Mac mini é de 35-40 graus, o que é padrão que é excelente para o clima quente aqui do nordeste.

    Tenho um notebook Dell Inspiron 14 5480, que, originalmente, veio com um SSD 128Gb + HD 1Tb + 16Gb de RAM. Estava com um problema recorrente de perda de espaço no SSD, mesmo com pouquíssimos programas, sem jogos e gravando arquivos gerais apenas no HD (+ nuvem). Comprei, então, esse SSD de 500Gb e a instalação foi facílima. Para instalar o Windows 11 novamente, fiz um pendrive bootável e foi sucesso.

    I am absolutely in love with this SSD! I have been using it for a few months now and it has significantly improved my computer's performance. Boot up and shut down times are lightning-fast, and overall system speed has improved tremendously.

    Installing the drive was a breeze. I simply cloned the boot drive, removed the old drive, and this thing just took off. I didn't do any benchmarking, but in everyday use, it's definitely an improvement over the stock SSD that was previously installed.

    Not only does this drive deliver on speed, but it also has a massive storage capacity, making it perfect for gaming. It's great to have so much room for all my games, which means I can dedicate my other M.2 slot for other things now. I would definitely buy this SSD again!

    One thing to note is that upgrading from another brand of SSD to Crucial can be a bit tricky. The Acronis software available from Crucial only works if you already have Crucial hardware in your machine. However, I was able to use Clonezilla on a USB key to make an image of my old M.2 and copy it to an external hard drive, then copy it back to the new Crucial SSD. It worked flawlessly, and the new hardware is noticeably faster.

    Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The drive is stable, the hardware is fantastic, and it's great to have such a large capacity at an affordable price point. I highly recommend this SSD to anyone who wants lightning-fast speeds and massive storage capacity.
