So, if you're looking for a heatsink that's low-profile but keeps everything cool and is really cost-effective, I'd say get one of these for yourself.
No airflow from fans on the back of the motherboard, but after adding the heatsink I am still seeing a 10 degree C (upper 30s from upper 40s) reduction in temperature. Adhesive is almost too strong, but its definitely not coming off. Cheaper than the Silverstone and easier to install, so great buy.
My issue was with my laptop, it would lag terribly if I had over 4 programs running for a long period of time, being a brand new laptop it wierded me out, so I checked the temps and the M.2 ssd would randomly spike during high usage, so I was going to take it out and bench test it on my desktop. Upon opeing it I saw the problem immediately, they literally wrapped the M.2 ssd in an aluminum "pocket" with no air ventilation. I replaced that garbage with these heatsinks and I haven't had an issue like that ever since.

Upon opeing it I saw the problem immediately, they literally wrapped the M.2 ssd in an aluminum "pocket" with no air ventilation. I replaced that garbage with these heatsinks and I haven't had an issue like that ever since.
The biggest issue was that the heat sink will not stay on my Samsung EVO Plus SSD. My guess the heat from the SSD made the adhesive softer and the weight of the heat sink was enough to cause the heat sink to start sliding off the SSD. I used two twist ties meant for cable management to hold the heat sink in place. This heat sink might be okay for a laptop or PCs where the heat sink sits flat but not for most desktop PCs. Maybe the company can include in the future something to hold the heat sink in place. Even a rubber band might work.
