Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

* Cheaper then other 1TB m.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs
* Manufacturer sticker covering components can be removed with little to no residue
* Not double sided components (heat concern)
Cons:
* Slower read rate then similar m.2 SSDs (though they cost more)
* Little to NO documentation available
* 'Requires' Intel SSD Toolbox ~ See Below
In order to get the most out of this drive you really should install Intel(tm) Solid State Drive Toolbox. I did a lot of research before buying this drive and I knew the trade off I was making for price over read speed. I also discover, accidently, that to update the SSDs firmware you have to have this program installed. The program is fairly light weight and comes with some extra bells an whistles to help you manage your SSD without fault. The problem, and why it is a negative, is that the program itself is not 'layman' friendly. The program is designed with the slightly informed to the well trained in mind. A 'newbie' consumer is simply going to see a bunch of phrases they don't know and a bunch of 'warnings' to do something they are going to click and think nothing of after.
Luckily my experience was that what the program advised me to click was what I wanted anyway.
The writes on this drive are about 560MB/s but for everyday tasks, you’ll only care about the reads, as the OS and/or any games or multimedia are only written ONCE then read for the rest of the time.
For a FULL performance NVME drive that costs $420+ for similar space, the everyday performance difference between this drive and the others is negligible (you won’t see a TANGIBLE increase in OS booting or game loading, just research some comparisons).
Save yourself some cash and use it to get a better processor or GPU where you will have immensely higher gains!
This review is for the 1TB M.2 version of the Intel 600p. I bought this SSD because of the value, 1TB NVMe SSD for only $360. It died after 45 days, which is too late to return for a refund (30 days). Looks like I'm out $360. I would not recommend this drive. After the initial installation of the drive and Intel's Solid State Drive Toolbox and updating the firmware on the SSD, the drive's performance was significantly below its own posted specs, and I regretted getting the drive even then. So after experiencing the disappointing performance (but before the Intel died), I ordered a Samsung 960 EVO 1TB from Amazon because the performance specs are even better than Intel's, although it costs more. Let's just say the 960 EVO has been performing extremely well, and I definitely think it is worth it to spend a little more to get the EVO 960. My advice is skip the 600p and get the 960 EVO. This is my first disappointment with Intel, all other Intel products that I have are excellent, but this 600p, skip it.

Easy to install, but make sure you have the right connector before buying.

This is so much faster than SATA 3!
SSDs use less energy and are faster than HDD, but the SATA SSDs are still limited to the SATA speed standards, at approximately 6 Gb/s (750 MB/s). This baby does 32 Gb/s (4 GB/s), with no starting lag. For computer enthusiasts who value speed and performance, it is definitely worth the extra $100 over a SATA drive.
