I ALSO have a RTX2080ti. I can confirm that I have received no performance loss going from intel 6800k to ryzen and my fps is actually a little higher.
WiFi can be turned off in bios and the motherboard comes with bluetooth!!!!!!!!!!. Network card is intel based so it has maximum compatibility. I haven't installed linux yet but i believe the network card is compatible.
Bottom line is this is an amazing motherboard especially if you you have access to the previous gen ryzen procs to flash it to use the 2xxx series.
Looks good, haven't experienced any problem that made me regret this purchase.
Started putting this new build together, got to the point where I unscrewed and pulled out the CPU cooler placeholder brackets and... wait a minute...
Something new with every build - the AsRock TaiChi has some kind of goo all around the processor socket. I've posted pictures and, as you can tell, it's PRETTY noticeable. It looks like some sort of adhesive...
DEFINITELY doesn't look like it belongs there. The placeholder brackets themselves felt oily, like there was a light kind of film on the surface, as if they had been painted with some oil based industrial paint.
Now, on the off chance this isn't some oil-based, electrically non-conductive substance - and considering I'm putting together a 1500 dollar build and am too poor to gamble with that kinda cash - I decided to halt the process and wait for feedback from AsRock themselves, which REALLY stinks because this was and still IS a time-sensitive build...
For a motherboard that seems almost unanimously 5 stars across the board I have to say I am REALLY disappointed in this. First time in my life a brand new board comes out of the box with some unknown substance slathered across one of its most sensitive areas...
I'll update this review accordingly but as of now AsRock has just made me waste time and money on this. Not happy.
I used this for my first ever PC build. I am running with a Ryzen 7 1700X, G.Skill Ripjaw model F4-3200C16D-16GVKB memory, and an EVGA 1080 SC. I love the built in wifi and bluetooth. I also appreciate that there are no mobo ports for graphics as Ryzen doesn't have integrated graphics. The board is also really cool looking!

This board is light on gimmicks but heavy on the things that really matter, my trident z 3200 rgb ram is running 100% stable at 3520Mhz with a BCLK overclock.
it has 3 ways to overclock! BCLK, Multiplier or p-state and you can combine all 3! and still be able to downclock at idle, as far as i know this is the only am4 board able to do this.
Please note ALL am4 boards at the moment have cold booting issues and will power cycle, the agesa code on the way from amd will sort this should be here within the next month or so. you will have to set your ram overclocks from a profile manually after booting into the uefi from a cold boot.
This board gives the lowest temps for the cpu ive ever seen, beating asus's most expensive boards, due to its top quality and plentiful power stages, the best on any atx board to date, the vrm hardly gets warm to the touch even when overclocked.
IF YOU USE THE P-STATE 0 TO OVERCLOCK YOU NEED TO SET THE VCORE OFFSET TO ENABLE DOWNCLOCKING AT IDLE
this board uses a different approach here, and im glad it does, the gigabytes ended up bricking themselves because of the p-state issues.
The uefi is the most feature rich ive ever seen, no gimmicks just everything there to get the job done. the voltage stability is unbeatable ive yet to find any motherboard that can match it.
no gimmicks like slow boot, overly complicated rgb or dual soundcards are present, just everything you need to overclock properly, if you are in to overclocking this board is number 1 for am4, ive tried 4 different boards from asus, gigabyte msi and biostar, none of them are as good as this board for cpu overclocking.
i just wished the vrm heatsinks didnt look like coffin's lol, oh well.
Stability and trouble free computing is assured with this board with tridentZ or corsair rgb ram, but beware this board aint for beginners, the bios will be intimidating for novice and amateurs, there are settings in the uefi of this board that no others have. makes my old gigabyte gaming 5 look like a toy in comparison (the gigabyte gaming5 is a very bad board anyway i urge people not to buy it)
its a pleasure to use this board, its a lot of fun to play around with in the uefi.
10/10 is not good enough, dont hesitate, just get it bought.
