Story. You are an army vet coming back from the war, only to find your family has some rivalry with the mafia and money issues. You decided to go on a heist mission to steal money from the bank, only to find the gang or mafia organization you partnered with decided to backstab you, kill off your family and take all the money for themselves. You manage to survive and decided to seek revenge a-la Punisher (Marvel Comics) style. The game is set in the 1960s with a documentary style of storytelling having watched interviews then playing events on what is being saidGraphics. Cutscene graphics are amazing, one of the best facial captures I've seen. In-game graphics are okay, as you expect from current gen consoles in terms of open world games. Voice acting and music selection is top notch. This game has very good production value, but the game is simply too long with a lot of filler as you'll see in it's gameplayGameplay. Very repetitive after the first 2 or 3 hours as essentially you'll be playing through the same mission types over and over again in different territories/settings. You be doing the same monotonous side mission in a given territory till the boss decides enough is enough and shows himself; where then you interrogate him, giving you the lead to your family's killers. After they give you the answers you need you then murder them and move onto the next. You'll be doing this over and over again till eventually you get what you want; there's some good story dialogue here and there, but the plot is pretty generic and predictable. As an open world game is very basic and nothing new for the genre. Your character's health pool is very low with only 3 shots from the enemy's pistol before you go down. You have to be methodical and plan your approach each time which is not really fun in an open world game. Getting game overs doesn't help either as you'll gain less money per mission and you'll need those money for upgrades making it a the rich gets richer scenario. If you play all your cards right, the game gets easier as you progress, but again the repetition sort of kills it.The game is very linear as there's little to side quests like taking over and maintaining territoryOverall this game is more quantity than quality as you'll be grinding repetitive side missions for story.
