PROs
1...does what it needs to for range of voltage given
2...has real modular cables for sata
3...good build quality given its price range
4...very short. old power supply was at least a inch longer and the cables plugging in to the power supply itself can bend to fit tight spaces
CONs
1...it has 2 cables for GPU's that are both 6x2 pin set ups (4 8 pin plugs total as there are 2 per-cable) when real world it only needed 1 of these cables as most systems wont run SLI or crossfire with only 650 watts total. real world it should have had 3 sata cables and not 2 GPU cables
2...sata cables are a pain. the flat cables i just do not like. yeah they bend but they dont make in to tight places like sleeved cables do. you get 1 sata cable with 4 sata plugs and 1 cable with 2 sata plugs. should have been 3 sata plugs on each. other problem is the 1 cable with 4 plugs has them really close to each other. depending on your case you may only be able to use 2 or 3 of these plugs on the 4 plug run.
3...still has a 3.5 floppy drive power connection on the end of the molex cable....what is this 2003???
4...does NOT come with a extra 8 pin or 4 pin CPU power cable even when 2 slots have CPU power written on them. reason to remember this is the fact a ton of newer motherboards have a 8 pin PLUS a 4pin OR can have 2 8 pins just for the CPU! (i just built a system that had 3 8 pin cables for the CPU) they sell the cable as a option but you have to order it from Corsair.
5...nothing to do with the power supplies but when it shipped, it was only in its normal retail box. power supply its self is the size of the box and they only put small bubble wrap on it from Corsair
in conclusion....its a good option to have and will do its job. if you dont need anything more then a single 8 pin for your CPU and can deal with 4 sata plugs on 1 cable you should be fine using this. my biggest problem with this power supply is how they divided the sata cables. old power supply had 3 per cable and was perfect for me as i use it to dual boot my system. 1 cable was my main install and the other cable was my second install. to switch boot order, i would just change the cable at the power supply (with win 10 you dont even have to change boot settings in bios if its set to windows boot manager). i could only have 2 drives on 1 install using the included cables, when i was running 2 storage drives per install. i got around this because i had left over cables from another corsair CX power supply and ended up using 2 of the 4 plugged cables.
My need was for a machine that would happily work Davinci Resolve video editing. I used a Geforce 6GB GPU for the video crunching, but to do so I had to add an external power supply and ditch the on-board PSU for the Dell. There are NO spare power taps on the 3670 - no supplementary power for cards or additional drives. The ATX mobo connection is also special which means you can't use the 24-pin ATX connector that comes with the Corsair.
You must separately get a 24-pin to 8-Pin adapter to power the mobo, and then take the 6-pin CPU connector from the Corsair to the CPU socket on the mobo. This worked for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A210HKO and there are others available
Then you have power to the GPU, and power for a second drive (so I could switch to an SSD plus the original HDD as a data store) plus power to a USB3 card for my external data stores..
The new PSU sits on top of the case, and snakes in through the remaining slot access - not to everyone's taste - but it all works very happily and is almost silent. I retained the original PSU and connectors so I can reverse this out for a vanilla machine at a later date. It voids the warranty from Dell, of course, but if you cared about that then you wouldn't be here. Good luck.

new Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Founders Edition, the power brick was more than enough but when I was gaming my PC temperature shot up to 79 Degrees Celsius for the CPU and up to 83 Degrees Celsius for the GPU, that is when I knew I had to transfer the system to a new case, so I bought the smallest most inexpensive case I could get which is the Cougar QBX Kaze and transferred the system to the case including the daughter board so I could use the external power brick because it was still sufficient and I didn't want to put a big brick of a PSU in the case to take up space and slow down airflow. But after using the PC like this for a few months a new problem popped up, the power cord of the external PSU kept slipping out every time I went to unplug or plug a USB device in the back, the reason is because the case wasn't made to use this type of PSU. This is why I decided to buy the right PSU and I chose the Corsair PSU because it was semi modular and cost much less than a SFF Modular PSU, after installing it everything works well and I had totally forgotten about it until I received an email asking about the item. Any product that has been forgotten because it works so well is a GREAT Product and my new temperatures are 25 degrees cooler for the CPU and about 15-20 degrees cooler for the GPU and the system is almost silent.
Top reviews from other countries
It has been 6 months since I first got this PSU and it has been running smoothly every since the first power up. I'll make it short and sweet though:
~80 Plus Bronze. For those who have no clue what this is, it is a critical metric used in Rating PSU. Anything Rated with 80 Plus ((White, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium)) are made with higher quality parts the higher tier it goes, making for a much better unit that will have less and less of a chance of exploding, short circuiting, blowing up, etc etc. This also means 80 Plus PSU are 80% efficient which means 80% of the power isn't getting chewed up by heat.
~750 Watts. While stating the obvious, this means you can have quite a bit of power cycling through this and even have the options for SLi/Crosffire configurations. It provides more then enough power to run even a single card as well, like a GTX 980-980TI and AMD R9 Nano's or Fury X
~Semi-Modular. This gives You, the consumer, the options to use the cables you only need. While the ATX ((24 pin)) connector is still wired into the unit itself, other options like 4, 6 and 8 pins are all optional to plug in. This means you only have to plug in what you need, making cable management FAR easier and no unused cables cluttered up in your case.
~Modular Cables are all black. No funky colors here ((except the 24 pin ATX, though it is mostly hidden by mesh)) so it makes it far more pleasing to look at.
~Easy to install for First timer Builders
~Reliable performance from a reputable company ((Corsair))
Now, you likely won't get a great deal I got (($70-75ish CAD)) as I got mine during an Inventory sweep. HOWEVER, it should be noted that this is still a very reputable and reliable unit, especially first time builders or those looking to expand their system further. People will say what they will about the CX series but I have had zero issues with mine while running my gaming rig. If you are looking for something easy to use, easy on the eyes and leaves plenty of room for future upgrading, a good unit like this isn't a bad choice at all.
(My RTX 3080 will be delivered in October because we live in India)
Another reason to get this is because of less wires, create less clutter in the case.
Check the rest of the specs in the image.
I don't think it comes with a Molex connector but I may be wrong since I did not check for it.
Strangely enough, the seller sent me WhatsApp messages to ask what my configuration is.
Now I don't want to complain about them reaching out to me to check for compatibility, it's probably for the betterment of humanity. Anyways, I thought this might be something you, the reader, would want to know.
