    Screen breaks super easily

Condition was good, little to no damage that is noticeable. However the phone said it was modified in an unauthorized way, i figured it prevented me from downloading certain apps

    This is the worst phone.

I have had this phone now for about four months, and it has very quickly become one of my favourite things I have ever owned.

I was really unsure about upgrading from my S4, as on paper the S6 Edge did not have much extra to justify the hefty price tag. Even when I first got it and took it out of the box, I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision. The curved screen looked weird. I wasn't sure how to hold it. There was nothing super-exciting jumped out at me.

But once you get used to it and start using it every day, you really do notice the difference. The screen is stunning; I have sometimes watched videos on my phone as opposed to my iPad 3 because the quality is so much better. The curve is subtle but really does make everything on it look so much better.

The camera is superb (both on the front and the back) - I used to find that photos I took on the S4 could be a bit blurry unless you managed to hold the phone very, very still, but I have not once had the same problem on the S6. The photos look absolutely professional quality, despite my complete lack of photo taking skills!

Even the two things that really put me off - the battery and the lack of external storage - have provided not to be a problem. On an weekday there is plenty left in the battery at the end of the day. It does struggle a bit more on weekends if I play games on it or use something battery intensive like Glympse but, despite my initial cynicism, the quick charge facility does help a lot here, meaning I can plug it in for only say 10 - 15 minutes in the evening to get it through the rest of the day. Not having external storage has also made things a lot easier - I always used to have a problem where my phone memory was packed full whilst there was plenty of space on the memory card and that had a major impact on performance.

The one issue I do have is the amount of RAM - I never thought I'd say 3GB of RAM was not enough for a phone, but it really isn't. Even when I'm not doing anything with the phone and I have closed all apps, most of the RAM is being used, and as soon as you start running a few apps the usage figure shoots alarmingly towards 100%. It hasn't had an effect on performance so far, but I have been very careful to keep closing apps I am not using and to minimise as far as possible the number of apps I install. I also suspect that when Android M ships the amount of RAM could become more of an issue. I notice that Samsung has put 4GB of RAM in the Edge+.

In summary, it's not quite the perfect phone, but it's pretty close. I suspect that it's the best that's out on the market at the moment and I struggle to think of what improvements Samsung will be able to make in the next iteration, other than a better battery and more RAM. I very much recommend this phone.

5.0 out of 5 stars A refreshing and versatile change from boring iphones, with a fresh, eye catching design
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 22, 2015
Sure the S6 edge is pretty expensive vs the standard S6, but the design is incredible. The curved screen is eye-catching, and gives an infinity pool effect when the device is viewed from a distance. It's a refreshing change from all the generic smartphones and iphones you see these days. I went for sapphire black which has a nice very dark blue tinge that varies depending on the light.

The screen resolution is the highest ever, over 500ppi and I do think it is worth it. Content is crystal clear, colours are vibrant and viewing not taxing to the eyes. People always comment when I show them something on phone how clear it is! Downside is it obviously reduces battery life somewhat, though I have found it is still pretty good and easily lasts me a full day with light to moderate usage inc mobile data on, GPS on, few photos, emails calls etc. Hopefully the upcoming android M will improve this further as I'd still like to see more.

Samsungs UI is pretty non intrusive vs. previous renditions and I do like some of the extra features offered by samsung, such as S Health which includes a pedometer built in to the phone, heart rate monitor, spO2 etc.

The camera is excellent, the best I've ever used on a smartphone. Images are clear in a wide variety of lighting conditions, though maybe a touch over sharpened. In any case they look great viewed on the sharp screen. There are also manual options available and talk of RAW support options in the future which is good for photographers. Do remember that the file size for photos and videos is very large - one reason for going for one of the larger storage capacity options.

All in all a great phone for around £500.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great phone, shame about the GPS
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 13, 2015
Moving from apple as fed up with the proprietary "you can't put mp3s on your phone unless you use the awful itunes software". Really impressed with the design and feel. However I use GPS a lot and this just doesn;t work. Driving along and it keeps losing the signal and disappearing off down side streets. Walking along and the same happens. Tried the various resets but nothing seemed to fix it so returning it for a refund. £500 should get me a totally working phone.. Sad as I really wanted it. However I'll still go for an android phone, just not this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars looks unlocked and resealed
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 28, 2015
Summary: The phone seems to be unlocked somewhere in Nigeria and re-sealed back.

The phone arrived in a sealed box, so at least the first look was promising, albeit the outside slide packaging was not in a very good state. I opened the seal and the first impression was that someone has touched this phone prior. You can straight away tell from looking at the plastic sleeve inside which the phone was kept. It was all touched around. Anyways I continued to press the power button and to my fear the phone never took me through any guided setup, like setting up day/time/location, fingerprint scanning etc etc ...

This confirmed my fear that this phone has been played around earlier and re-sealed back. I have lots of friends who have bought the same phone from high-street retailer in different countries and 100% of them confirmed to me about the samsung default guided setup is the first thing you should see when you press the power button, and of course "is it not common sense after all".

It also mentioned the default location as Mushin, which seems to be in Nigeria. Now who had setup the location as Mushin before even the phone was opened. not me at least. It is a very simple understanding that you buy any new phone, computer and you are always, always given the welcome guided setup by the manufacturer.

Anyways it had to go back within 1 hour of opening. Just waiting for my refund. I suggest that to get some peace of mind pay an extra £50 - £60 and go to some high street retailer for phones at least. If it was sold directly by amazon, things would have been much better and genuine.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best on the market.

Fantastic phone. I've had a great deal of the latest smartphones and this one definitely tops the list. Only downside is the battery life, but then you have got the best screen resolution, best camera, fastest processor and a whole host of other goodies that all make this the best phone on the market, bar none.

I was fortunate to get this phone at a super price, but personally, I wouldn't pay the extra price tag that comes with the s6 edge. There isn't a great deal of functionality with the edge screen and to pay the extra £100 or so for this is a bit of a waste. I purchased the s6 flat for my Wife and I have to say it is equally as good a phone as the edge.

The phone feels thin and not a lot of weight either.

I purchased an official Spigen case with it and it is not as great as I expected, not any great grip with the case. I then purchased a cheaper £3.99 clear case and it really works well with the phone.

Only downsides for not getting 5 stars are for me: Battery life and lack of Micro SD Card slot.

Apart from that, a very worthwhile purchase.

Purchased from Marketplace seller Buy and sell entertainment. Customer service was the best I have ever received from a Marketplace seller to date. Very courteous and timely with email responses.
