Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Silky smooth, really good price for a 240hz. Image quality is as good/better as any other TN i've seen. There's zero ghosting issues or anything like that, and it has configurable pixel overdrive to balance response time & ghosting to your preference. Some internet dude at tftcentral has measured total input lag at 3.7ms, which is pretty much as good as you can get - the rest of your game is likely adding 20ms ish of input lag at best, so it's almost negligable.
And the bonus features/build quality is really nice, e.g. charging port for your phone, loads of inputs, OSD is useable enough, the stand is really nice, with adjustable height, theres nice cable management stuff etc.
Some of the default options are really bad though. I'd start with gamma set to Gamma3 (default looks really washed-out), and overdrive at medium (default has visible ghosting), low input lag mode ON.
I recently bought this monitor due to the fact that I found out professional csgo players that I watch use it. I had been using a 60hz up until this monitor and was almost put off by the reviews but it's been worth it so far. Although I looked into it and it says freesync but AMD users complain about the low input lag not working for them, which is correct. I have an NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU and it works just fine for me. The only thing I have left to do is play around with the settings and find what's best for me. I saw a review with a comment complaining about the plug but I received both a 2 prong and 3 prong plug in the box along with more wires than needed so if that was ever an issue it has been fixed now. Simple to setup and simple to use, this is the only review I have ever made on Amazon. DO NOT get put off because of the reviews, you can always return it if it doesn't meet your standards
This is better than the Dell AW2518HF Alienware 240hz monitor in terms of features. It has a low blue light mode, however, this monitor aesthetically is worse than the Dell, it has wider bezels. This monitor also has more levels of black equaliser and a low input lag mode. PLEASE be warned: the low input lag mode does not work when using a freesync enabled graphics card on display port connection. I do not know why. It works with Nvidia though. This is not likely to be fixed, I've tried contact AOC about it though.
