The BenQ 32" EW3270U is a 4k monitor with decent picture quality perfect for either home or office. The product arrived in perfect condition a day ahead of promised delivery date. It has a low input lag and fast response time to deliver clear images with minimal motion blur; however, the refresh rate is limited to 60Hz, I've tried all sorts of games using Nintendo Switch, but yet to try the PS5. A friend tried his PS4 using this monitor and it worked like a charm, the weight without the stand is around 6kgs/13lbs and weight without the stand is around 7.5kgs/16.5lbs. The only real issue I'd say this monitor has is the fact that it's a dirt magnet and might require regular cleaning. Nevertheless, considering all the other perks, a 4K display monitor for this price range with eye care technology (which doesn't work as well as they claim btw). In addition, no washed up effects consider its not an OLED display, think it is a phenomenal bargain at the set price ($399, or 599 in my case including shipping, handling, and import charges). In the box:You'll find: Display, Stand, DisplayPort cable, USB-C cable, User Manual (minimal information QR code attached for more info), and Power cablePros:Best 4k monitor for costGood dark scene performanceVery good gray uniformity4k resolution is great for multiple windows60hz refresh rateBuilt in speakersNo washed up effectBuilt-in headphone jackType-C compatibleHDMI-compatibleWall mount compatibleHighly gradient and low color bleedGood light reflection handlingFlicker freeCons:Can't get bright enough for HDRPoor quality built in speakersCannot accommodate anything beyond 60hzImage degrades at an angleDirt and fingerprint attractionA little wobbly when nudgedNo swivelTilt Range -15° to 5°Max brightness not that brightVerdict: Recommended even in 2021, if it fits your budget

    UPDATE 1-3-19:
As mentioned below I had my monitor replaced by BenQ due to an HDR defect. They have some of the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. They helped me out very quickly and with no hassle at all. I've been using their new replacement monitor since my original review date and haven't had any issues. I cant confirm that the firmware was indeed updated and that this was the issue as the monitor does not list the firmware version anywhere for me to compare. The monitor does however work as desired and their 3 year warranty and amazing customer service has warranted me to change my review from 3 to 5 stars.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Read the reviews for this specific monitor, A significant number of people are having repetitive HDR issues.

I ordered the product because it had a great review rating, I didn’t even bother to look into them much but wish I would have now. overall my final view of this product is going to based on how BenQ deals with the situation and if the monitor i receive fixes my issues.

Had this monitor for 3 months before the issues started. During this time the monitor was pretty great, rich colors and great for gaming, very responsive. The colors were a little off especially with blacks which aren’t very deep. Other than that, the HDR and 4k were very nice, it was nothing much more or less than you’d expect for a $400 gaming monitor until I ran into this issue.

The issue came when I turned my monitor on one day and all of a sudden, all the colors that were in HDR mode were washed out and flat. After reading carefully on Amazon and in forums I noticed that a lot of people have this issue with this specific monitor. You don’t see it reflected as much in the reviews because all the BenQ product reviews are twitstered together. This means that the star rating and reviews you see for this product are not all actually for this product, its for all the twistered products together. I contacted Amazon about it and unfortunately as of late at least, their chat customer service is getting increasingly more difficult to deal with and far less helpful than they used to be, every person you talk to gives you different answers and reasons as to why they decided they cant help you. So I contacted BenQ instead and their customer service was pretty Amazing. They had a new monitor being shipped to me within minutes of me contacting them and the monitor has a 3 year warranty. Their service is very good, I was very surprised at how fast they were and how easy they were to work with. Andy L. in their service department was really great and his service changed my mind completely about wanting to keep this product or buy future BenQ products.

Ill update this post with any new information after I receive my monitor. BenQ told me that the HDR issue is most often caused by firmware which makes me feel a little better.

Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2020
    Style: 32" 4K VA | 2 x 2W SpeakersVerified Purchase
Let me start off with saying that I only use this monitor for working from home. I am a software engineer and there were 3 things that I was looking for in my monitor -
    1. Text Sharpness - Text sharpness was one of the biggest reason I went with 4k resolution. With 4k resolution at 32", the pixel density (ppi) comes at 139 which is enough to not make this monitor inferior to the macBook display (ppi=227) when it comes to text sharpness. I had a 27" 1440p monitor (ppi=109) before and I always hated the fuzzy text it produced.
    2. Good contrast, especially with black background - Because of VA panel this has a very good contrast that helps with black backgrounds. On top of that, HDR mode (even though its not a true HDR) enhances the contrast and the colorful texts in intelliJ (Dracula theme with full black background) and Terminal look gorgeous.
    3. More real state (especially height) - I feel either 27" or ultrawide 34" monitors have slightly less height than my liking. 32" nails it. Ultrawide 38" will do as well, but I am yet to see a good value 4k ultrawide 38".

The auto brightness adjustment seems to work well so far and proved to be a bonus, that I quite like. No need to adjust the brightness manually anymore. This monitor is also flicker free which is supposed to be good for my eyes, but I am not sure I will be able to tell the difference from my previous monitor. No observable light bleed, no significant color fading and given that I only use it for work I did not bother the not so great viewing angles that VA panels usually have and some other reviewers have complained about.

Out of the box settings for this monitor is great and I do not think I had to change too many settings. I did have to scale this display in the macBook 'System Preferences -> Display' settings in favor of the larger texts because with 4k resolution your texts would look too small and given that my monitor is at least 2 ft from my eyes I had to select a 'Less Space & Larger Text' option - https://www.macobserver.com/tips/how-to/4k-monitor-retina-mode/

Only downside for me is not so adjustable stand that comes with it but it does have VESA mount that you can make use of if you really want it to be adjustable. For me the height of this monitor was low and I remedied this by putting couple of books underneath it.

Overall a very good 4k 32" monitor and I am quite happy with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good overall 32 inch 4k monitor

Having used the BENQ GW2760S monitor for over 8 years and enjoying its vibrant color and low blue light control technology, I decided to purchase an additional 27" 2k monitor for photo editing and high-resolution video enjoyment. Opting for a BENQ 27" 2k model with an IPS panel, I found it well built and ideal for web surfing. However, it didn't deliver much noticeable improvement in resolution for both high-pixel pictures and videos comparing to my GW2760S, so I replaced it with this 32-inch 4k version which proved to be a right decision made after a couple of weeks' testing.

The 32-inch 4k monitor does outperform the 27" 1080P model, particularly in photo editing, bringing out more details and making some mediocre photos look much more appealing. To ensure accurate color representation, I downloaded color profiles for the monitor from both BENQ and Itings websites and conducted a comparison. While the 32-inch VA 4K monitor meets the needs of most users, those with a more flexible budget might consider an IPS panel for its superior color uniformity and wider viewing angle.

In conclusion, I feel 4k resolution is perfect for 32" monitor. I trust the quality of BENQ monitors, and anticipate that this new monitor will continue to serve me well for another 8+ years.

    No incluye HDMI

Estoy encantado con el, definitivamente la mejor compra 10/10

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect monitor for consoles

Initially i did not liked this monitor. Colors were too saturated out of the box and whichever setting i use ,it did not workout for me. Additionally HDR would turn ON for somegames (forza horizon 3 , forza motorsport 7 ) when HDR was ON game looks good but the brightness of monitor was so high that it was too much for a dark room.
But but but .. Benq has a Ace in their sleeves here which no other monitor has. its Brightness Intelligence.. Its nothing but auto brightness. Initially i ignored this as usually I tune the monitor as per my needs. But the BI feature along with HDR works perfectly here. The issue I had with high brightness earlier in dark room while gaming is no longer their when BI is on. It auto adjusts screen brightness based on lighting in the room. You can also see a BI meter on the bottom right whenever it adjusts the brightness.
This is how you should use this monitor, with HDR+BI ON. Colors are accurate with HDR ON, blacks are black. Forza motorsport 7 felt like a new game to me, though i played it earlier on a LG 24 inch 4K monitor (non HDR).
HDR emulation is also perfect for non HDR games, in fact Red dead redemption 2 looks super realistic and amazing with HDR emulation than in game HDR feature. :P
32 inch is perfect for 4K monitor to play in a living room. You can sit comfortably in the couch and game. Earlier i used a 24 inch 4K monitor which required that i need to sit close- upfront with monitor. I also had a 43 inch 4K HDR samsung TV but did not liked it because - more the screen size lesser the ppi. 32 inch has perfect ppi density for 4K gaming.
Other than monitor had great build quality, a great stand. Bit of bezel but it does not matter. VA panel is superb with perfect black levels and hardly i see any back light bleed. Though its not as great OLED screens , you are paying much less. For 35k you will not find anywhere else with such a awesome HDR enabled panel in a combination of 4ms response time.
Go for it if you are in for a great monitor for you xbox one x and ps4 pro.

I wanted to swap out two aging monitors for hi-res units. These two supported all the connections I could possibly want in the future at a very attractive price point.

I have been very happy with the results. The units have a crisp, stable image for editing, office and for my sound design and music workbench - with colour and responsiveness being important for reviewing audio analysis.

Since I do not play games, I cannot report on how well they would function as a gaming monitor. But from what I can see (pun intended) they will probably meet many gamers needs. You do not always need 'the best'... just more than good enough. And these monitors are certainly more than good enough!

This monitor is very heavy and thick , has some issues with dark scenes, has no USB-B ports and doesn’t sleep/wake properly together with your Mac. It is functional and has a USB-C port but I’d recommend other monitors from LQ or Samsung within the same price range.
