Only DP cable provided. If you must use hdmi, make sure you buy an ultra high speed rocket fish hdmi
Display port cable provided, not HDMI. You can use hdmi, but unless you have an ultra high speed hdmi, you may only be able to get 120hz out of the full 144hz. (So I bought an ultra high speed hdmi, rocket fish brand, from bestbuy. $55 for 8ft. I did not have any flickering lines issue using this type of hdmi. I did not even have to put in hdmi compatibility mode (which means I get the full 144 hi, not capped at 120.)Aside from the HDMI limitations I give this monitor 5 stars. What a paid in the head. My laptop doesn’t have a display port. Sheesh. After some serious research I was very happy with the end result. FYI this monitor supports 1.4 DP, and 2.0 HDMI. The only change I made to the hardware settings was reducing brightness and contrast. (I recommend having a desk that is at least 26-28 inches deep. Mine is 23 inches and it’s a bit too close for a monitor this big)

I love IPS panels. Their color accuracy and range is incredible and they look more true to life when compared to TN. While the advertising says 1ms it is important to know that NO IPS can do 1ms. However, as someone who has gamed on a TN panel before I can hardly tell the difference. So it's refreshing that this IPS monitor is incredible. It comes pre-calibrated from the factory so you don't have to and it looks stunning. it blew away my old IPS monitor that I used; 99% sRGB range is incredible. And I think this is exactly why despite being 27" it still manages to look good at 1080p. It comes free-sync and for me most importantly G-sync. Paired this with my 3700x and GTX1080 and every game looks smooth and stutter-free. As I said before this monitor is not 1ms but more like 4-6, it comes with a motion blur reduction thing but, don't use it. It adds ghosting to your images and makes twitchy movements nauseating. Plus, you can't use it with Free-sync or G-sync either so it's pointless. This monitor came with a 120hz out of the box at least for me. If you're using an Nvidia GPU make sure to set it to 144hz in the control panel. Speaking of which I was able to overclock this thing all the way up to 255hz, your mileage will vary but this thing surprised me. (it's also worth noting that apparently people get a message when you OC the refresh rate too high. I've never had this happen to me) High refresh rate is awesome though, especially in FPS. It's incredible how it helps you track and in my experience even helped me have better aim. It comes with HDR but do not get this for HDR. If you want to experience HDR look elsewhere. This is not 4k, it only has an 8bit panel instead of 10bit, and it has a peak brightness of only 350 nits. You need 1000 for HDR. All in all, this is an incredible monitor the only thing I highly suggest you do once you have it all set up (apart from fixing the refresh rate) is to set black stabilizer down. Mine came by default at 70 and it made black images look more like grey. I put mine down to 5, so I would just play around with it.

I received this product only one day ago, but so far it has impressed me. It has met or exceeded everything one should expect at this price point.
Setup an Installation was easy. The mount and arm came on in 5 minutes. The monitor came with a DisplayPort cable that supports HDR10, so that was a welcome addition.
Turning the monitor on, surprisingly, was a bit of an issue, and my only real problem with the monitor. The cylinder connector that powers the monitor is very stiff, and you have to apply some pressure to fix it in, even though the connector doesn't go through all the way. It took me some time to realize this as the monitor wouldn't turn on.
The monitor is very versatile. The vertical viewing angles can be adjusted, and the height itself can be adjusted a lot. In addition, the monitor can be put in portrait.
The 144Hz monitor means very smooth gameplay. Games like Rainbow Six Siege and CS:GO feel just so much more responsive. And it really can make the difference in close encounters with enemies.
And Freesync makes such a huge difference as well. Before, I had so much trouble with screen tearing in games, especially 3rd person shooters like GTA V, that I had to turn on Vsync. Of course this led to performance issues. Now I can get a smooth experience without any of Vsync's downsides.
Even though the primary aspects of gaming monitors are response time and refresh rate, this monutor's picture quality is superb as well. The 350 nit display makes very crisp bright whites. The 99% sRGB reproduction makes this great for amateur photo and video editing. Of course, the brightness band 10-bit color allow for HDR10. Now, I don't see HDR as a huge reason to buy this monitor. Windows 10's default HDR is broken. I tried turning it on and got a really gross screen, with text seemingly at a lower resolution. And if you have an AMD graphics card, you won't be getting any Netflix HDR. I tried and couldn't get it. Apparently it's only for Intel iGPU's and Nvidia cards. But playing games like Battlefield and Resident Evil in HDR is quite nice.
Overall it's a great buy, and sits comfortably as a mid-range monitor. There are probably cheaper 144 Hz monitor, but I think the 10 bit color and HDR 10 of this could justify the price for you.

This monitor is quite literally the best 1080p screen I’ve ever had the pleasure of viewing. Normally for a 27” monitor I’d be inclined to go with a 1440p resolution, however this was purchased as a gift for my father who has a gaming rig with a gtx 1080, so 1440p would be a struggle to get good fps with. The picture quality is downright excellent. 144hz is still a great refresh rate, and the 400 nit brightness is great to view. G Sync is a must have with nvidia cards, so no worries here. I also picked this monitor up for $199 on Black Friday. My pops had a 24” sceptre 75hz tn panel, and going to this IPS panel is night and day. Every aspect - color reproduction, refresh rate, brightness, viewing angle, artifacts - is miles ahead of the cheaper sceptre. If you’re looking for an excellent panel for just about any pc build, this monitor is a great balance of price to performance, as long as you’re ok with 1080p.

I bought this monitor on July 30th, 2020. Loved this monitor the whole time. It's bright, the latency is incredible, the G-Sync was worth every penny, and being able to crank 144hz out of this thing was the absolute best. The colors are accurate, too. Made my mediocre design work less sub-par!

This monitor kicked the bucket on me yesterday (2/3/24). It was doing what it does best, and all of a sudden the screen went black but the backlight was still on. It froze like that for about 3 seconds and then turned off. I haven't seen a light on it since. I even tested the power brick but, sure enough, 19V steady.

I'm sure it's just one chip on the circuit board that burnt out, but that's the end of the road for now. Made it damn near 4 years, but not quite. Guess I should have bought the 4-year coverage!

May your catchy and highly-memorable name live on in the memory of man for eternity. RIP LG 27GL650F-B. Rest in b****es.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Monitor
Reviewed in Canada on October 28, 2023
To make it short, this is an amazing monitor. Great quality, good colour accuracy, incredible response time, and great refresh rate. If this is your first 144Hz monitor, it's such a noticeable upgrade, it makes it hard to go back. Having FreeSync on it helps quite a lot in reducing screen tearing while gaming. This monitor gets bright. I haven't had issue using it in a relatively bright environment, and in a dark room it can almost be too bright even at the lowest setting. The ports are convenient to reach and there's plenty of them, so switching between consoles is quite easy, especially nice as you can plug your speakers directly into the monitor. The stand is sturdy and a bit heavy which should help show its quality. Raising the height and tilting it are nice features, though a swivel would also have been quite useful.
A few major caveats worth noting though, the HDR mode is quite gimmicky and does not hold up with actual HDR content, the 1080p resolution might limit this for some who want it for mainly content creation or consumption purposes, and having no built in speakers is a bit of a downside.
Overall I absolutely recommend this monitor, at this price there isn't a better option on the market. I hope this was helpful :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Vale la pena, adquirirlo cuando tengas un pc que le saque provecho
Reviewed in Mexico on June 4, 2021

5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly one of the best 1080p monitor.
Reviewed in India on March 5, 2022
I received this monitor much earlier than estimated delivery date/time, I am really happy with this, so high five to amazon on this one.

Packing was great, they ensured that monitor shouldn't be damaged or broke in the transit.

This monitor is really good, I use this for sole purpose of gaming, at first (initially) I was hesitant due to it's sheer size, I was wondering if 27inchs is top big for 1080p resolution, but no this monitor has proved me wrong there's no tearing or blurred picture while playing games, textures look great, there's no such opposed to pixelation on this set, moreover it's stand is ergonomically made for gamers, which was another plus point of it.

HDR may not be the best experience for this monitor, as of HDR requirements you need at least 400nits of brightness which this monitor has, even so HDR does make pictures slightly crisper, but not by much as it's not a certified DisplayHDR400 screen, I'd say 400nits is entry-level HDR at best, yeah you could use this on the monitor, but I'd suggest to not, because in some games HDR implementation is not even "average" it's bad. If you really just want to game on HDR then sure but it won't be a true HDR experience like on Oled screens, they are best for HDR experience, so as far as cost is concerned HDR is prolly not worth it to pay extravagantly high amount for a real HDR monitor/TV, only if you can afford then it's one of the best technology, but expensive. I'd say 600nits is sweet spot for HDR gaming but 1000nits is what you want for true HDR, however 600nits is also very fine, 400nits is not.....

This monitor comes with G-SYNC compatibility and has received Nvidia certification as G-SYNC capable panel, it really does what it says, games feel so smooth, even at lower fps, I've tested with and without HDR and difference is massive, there's so much input lag present with G-SYNC disabled it is unbearable to me, variable refresh-rate is game changer here. This monitor as I can see prompting to the settings says "FreeSync Premium" which means it is AMD certified too, so maybe that as well adds up on to give you smooth gaming experience, and also with G-SYNC enabled I have observed that I got slight boost in fps too, like 5 - 10fps which is just too good, Nvidia has done some serious work here for us gamers to deliver top notch gaming experience for AAA/RPGs gamers that want few more frames, though it is redundant in competition games where you mostly tend to be 120+fps. I appreciate Nvidia for implementing G-SYNC, thank you.

Colors are just fine, not the best, I'd not get this monitor for editing purpose, it lacks many colors and wrongs in many ways with colors, in rare cases in-game while gaming colors can be overexposed mostly WHITES tend to do so. Don't know why, but for gaming it provides enough color gamut of 99% SRGB yeah look for some other monitor with DCI-P3 gamut that has many more colors present and is winder than 99% SRGB.

All in all perfect gaming monitor that has 144hz refresh-rate, would definitely recommend to anyone who's keen to upgrade monitor and are still on 1080p like me.

Cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente Monitor para Gaming
Reviewed in Mexico on August 28, 2019
Altamente recomendado.

5.0 out of 5 stars I haven't had it for long but I really love it.
Reviewed in Canada on July 30, 2019
I paired this monitor with my intel 9700k and RTX 2070, it looks great and the monitors design is super sleek and professional while also matching the gamer aesthetic at the same time. This monitor has HDR10 and the colours look great. I got this monitor on amazon prime day so the price was unbeatable. With 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time I've been really enjoying this monitor for gaming and with the HDR10 I have really been enjoying videos that are HDR10 compatible, they look absolutely amazing on this monitor. It might only be 1080p but It still looks great nonetheless. I'd recommend holding off on this monitor at the moment though because of the really long shipping times at the moment (1 to 2 months) and hopefully it comes back on sale. But other than that I highly recommend this monitor for anyone wanting a really decent monitor for an amazing price.

5.0 out of 5 stars I haven't had it for long but I really love it.
