4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for a casual use mini-ITX pc
Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2023
Runs hot when running games or large downloads/transfers, but stays stable and relatively quiet. I don't like having to rely strictly on the rgb controller, but it offers a decent enough selection of lighting options to work with most themes. I do not recommend any kind of mini-itx build for beginners though, start with an ATX or micro-ATX build with a medium size case first if you're new to building. You'll want the room to improve on any issues you may run into.

5.0 out of 5 stars LED is a little tricky - Still, A Nice Display Fan!
Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2022
Had some trouble getting either iCUE or Mystic Light to "see" this fan. The fan itself cools well. Average idle temps are around 49-degrees Celsius. The LED has to be connected to the right header on the mobo, though. The closest header (due to cable length of fan/led cable) was JCORSAIR...which is not compatible with this fan. I had to use an extension cable (came with the Mobo) to connect it to the RGB1 Header. Once that was connected, I was back in business! Mystic Light controls it perfectly!
Installation is easy, though there are more screws than most CPU coolers. (10 screws on this one).

The low profile is nice, and the 90-degree "flip" allows it to face fully, the plate glass side panel of the case. Great for Showing off the interior!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install, nice RGB and works well, but don't expect too much.
Reviewed in Singapore on July 23, 2021
I am using this cooler with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G on a slight undervoltage to further reduce power consumption and temperatures on a Gigabyte B450I AORUS PRO WIFI motherboard for my portable desktop.

With an ambient temperature of 29 degress celsius, the CPU idles at 29 degrees at an automatic underclock to 2.3 ghz. While on full load using prime95's max power consumption and heat torture test, the CPU reaches temps of 91 degrees celcius at 3.5 to 3.6ghz. The fan is also quite loud at this point with it spinning at 100%.

However, on average loads such as web browsing and watching videos, the CPU is at 38 to 45 degrees celsius, occasionally reaching 50 on medium loads. At low to medium loads, the cooler is also pleasantly quiet, almost silent even. The RGB is also pleasantly bright and strong and works well with the RGB features on Gigabyte's RGB Fusion 2.0.

Installing the cooler does require taking out the motherboard to mount the bracket onto the back of the motherboard though. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but I was able to follow through after reading it carefully a few times. There's also an included tube of thermal paste ready to be used conveniently.

This is a low-profile cooler with a smaller heat dissipation area as compared to a tower cooler, so I don't think it's appropriate to fault the cooler's performance too much. 91 deg c is higher than I'd like it to be, even more so considering that the CPU is slightly undervolted, however comparing it to the stock Wraith Stealth where the CPU reaches its thermal limit of 95 deg c, this cooler does perform better, even if it's marginal. Plus if aesthestics are your thing, the RGB is really quite nice on this cooler. It's so bright that it can light up my room at night when the lights are off.
