About this item

  • With 3D QLC NAND storage technology, the UD70 PCIe Gen 3x4 incorporates a much higher memory cell density, allowing for greater storage capacity on a smaller footprint – up to 2TB.
  • TBW = 530
  • To support a Silicon Power PCIe SSD, the system must have an M. 2 connector with only an M key. The Silicon Power PCIe SSD does not have a b notch and therefore, the b key on the SSD connector will prevent it from being inserted
  • The warranty terms on all of its SSDs are based on whether the warranty length or TBW limit occurs first.

I was running out of space on my C: Windows Operating System Drive. I was using a 1tb regular 3.5 SATA hard drive. I had seen the m.2 port on my motherboard, but had no idea what it was for. Then when I was thinking about replacing this drive I decided to look into maybe replacing my operating system drive with this SSD. As a side thought I figured "Who knows it might even run a little faster". Boy was that an understatement. It was SUPER easy to install on my ASUS motherboard. I looked online and found which settings needed to be changed in my BIOS for the drive to be recognized. And poof it showed up in my Disk Manager when I restarted the computer. Then All I had to do was use a cloning software to make an exact duplicate of my HDD bit by bit to the new SSD. I used EaseUS and it was very straight forward and an easy process that took about an hour. Then once it told me that it was complete, I restarted back into my bios so that I could tell the computer which disk to boot from. Then I restarted and I have to say I was floored. My PC start time has always been excruciatingly slow. I used to dread having to ever restart my computer because I knew it could take 10-15 minutes before I was up and running again. But now It loaded super fast. And when I logged in and my desktop just showed up with all the icons it was amazing. My startup time is now less than a minute. Photoshop loads super fast and it seems like nothing I can throw at this really takes near as much time to process or anything. I was really getting ready to just buy a brand new computer with the hopes that it would be faster. But as it turns out my computer was fine. I just needed a really awesome hard drive. Which this is 100%. I highly recommend this SSD. I have had NO ISSUES at all whatsoever. I am so happy I made this purchase. Thank you.

Installed this 2TB SP in my new Dell G7 7700 as a secondary NVME to a Sandisk 1TB boot NVME. This will 99.9% of the time be for game use. So far games are running great off of it. I will update this at some point after some months of use.

Using the 2TB NVMe SSD for my Win10 system and installed programs in a 300GB C: partition with the balance as my D: Data partition. Reasons for partitioning are: 1) I backup my data regularly so the D: partition backup does not have to repeatedly contain Win10 and installed programs. 2) I only backup the C: and supporting system partitions when I install new programs or there have been a lot of Win10 updates. 3) If Win10 develops a problem, I can reinstall it and my programs without concern about my data. The Silicon Power 2TB NVMe SSD is working perfectly so far and was the least expensive solution.

For the price is alright. So I attached the picture of the benchmark. After you install it and format it. It's 1.81GB not really 2TB. 2TB is up to marketing. I was expecting at least 1.91GB. But I'll take it. We will see how long this little guy lasts. I'm using this as like a storage drive. I know it's bit overkill for storage as NVME. It doesn't break more than 62C. Maybe I should paid the extra 20 bucks more and got samsung. But hey they all buy from samsung and micron for SSD chips. So shrugs shoulders, but depending on quality. The best SMD chips will be from micron or samsung.

We will see how this little guy lasts.

A little tricky to install in my laptop, but the speeds are absolutely incredible even compared to a 2.5” SSD - which I was plenty happy with in the past. It’s like supercharging your machine if it has an aging hard drive. Highly recommended.

Works just fine. Registered warranty online. Only gripe is....no complimentary screws/nvme mounting pad... But if your motherboard has a casing covering the nvme slot, it shouldn't matter.
