Just annoying.
3 Stars
Just annoying.
Overall, they sound decent.I spent the extra money specifically for the charging base feature. Evidently the charging base only works if you resize the headphones to the smallest size. Even then it's not a sure thing. I wear them at the largest size. It's a pain in the ass every time.So here I am with an overpriced set of headphones charging them by USB again because the charging dock didn't work... Again.I play shooters only. There is a very noticeable lag. This is annoying when you're counting hit markers, and are relying on the surround sound feature for enemies behind you. Half the time I'm dead before I hear the footsteps. You get used to that though, but the super easy to accidentally press buttons are another nuisance.Overall, these were an impulse buy that I tried to cancel 5 minutes too late, and one I've been regretting not sucking up the return fees ever since.***edit***I've had these things 7 months now. They are still going strong. One of the plastic beauty pieces above the extending ear cups has broken and fallen off, but does not affect anything.I will say that the surround sound is great and works well. I've been playing RDR2, a much slower game than the FPS action I'm used to and lag is not an immediate issue. For such an immersive game, these have proven amazing. I upped my rating from 2 stars to 3 because they do sound great, and have provided solid audio performance. I wish I could give it more stars, but with the noticeable lag on games that matter plus the broken piece that cracked for no reason outside of regular use... and the damn charger base that has left me with a dead headset on days I just wanted to slip away into a game...I still wonder if I'd have these same issues with a different headset.I'm happy that I have them, but I'm not glad I bought them.
