Als jemand, der viel Zeit mit Online-Gaming verbringt, war ich auf der Suche nach einem Router, der nicht nur mit meiner Leidenschaft Schritt hält, sondern sie auch unterstützt. Und dieser Router hat nicht enttäuscht. Mit Wi-Fi 6 und unglaublichen Übertragungsraten bleibt meine Verbindung stabil, selbst wenn das ganze Haus vernetzt ist. Before i bought this router (couple of weeks ago), i was running Asus RT-AC88U. I had that router for about 4 years and absolutely loved it. Problem i had was: as time went along, more and more devices were being connected to the network. at first i didn't see any issues but as we are all working from home now (3 people connecting to work network and 2 to college) it kept dropping connection. It almost felt as though it was dropping connections to keep other connection live

At that point i decided i was gonna get a new (more powerful) router that could cope with the traffic (just to give you an idea: in the evenings, we haven on average 6-8 movies/youtube videos streaming at a minimum. Along side atleast 2 XBox's and multiple other internet activities and Sky downloads). So we have fare bit off traffic...

I did my research over couple of months and found that although it might be a bit too soon to buy GT-AX11000 but it was one of the only routers that should cope with the traffic we have. Setup was very simple (as is with most Asus routers). I also took a backup from RT-AC88U and did a upload to GT-AX11000.. it went without any problems and all my network setup was done in matter of seconds.

I have been using this router for couple of weeks and the things that I wanted was: for the router to be able to handle traffic at all times (during the day and in the evenings) . GT-AX11000 does that without any problems (although on couple of occasions it did get a bit hot). Speed: on all devices that can take advantage of WiFi6, speeds were a marked improvement (i.e. on one of my laptops (HP Spectre) i was getting about 200mbps but now im getting upto 800+mbps). On devices that can't take advantage of WiFi6, there is still an improvement (i.e. one of my other laptop (Lenovo Y700) i was getting about 100mbps i am now getting in access of 300mbps). One thing that is disappointing is the range of WiFi. It seems to have made almost no improvements on the range of WiFi. I don't get hardly any signal at the back of the garden which was the case with RT-AC88U as well

Ovreall: i think GT-AX11000 will come into it's own in 6 months to a year (hopefully Asus will update the firmware to make some improvements). In the mean time, it's good but not brilliant...

AC5300 war ein Scherz, Media Server war unzuverlässig, hatte willkürliche on-line Pausen, ging zurück. Ax11000 ist, worauf ich gewartet habe. Seit 4 Tagen ist es ununterbrochen on-line, ohne Fehler. Ja, es gibt Kompatibilitätsprobleme mit Intel Karten mit alten Drivers, aber Update hilft schon. Nur für Android-Geräte ist es nicht zu lösen. Aber ich habe den alten Fritzbox 4040 als IP-Client installiert, alles bestens. Ich habe eine 160MHz Intel-Karte, mit einem Trick, ich benutze 4 Asus-Antennen statt 2 mit Verteilern, so bekomme ich mit ac 1300-1450 Mbps Bandbreite, hinter einer seriösen Betonwand. SMB und Media Server sind absolut zuverlässig, und ich bekomme die SMB Filetransfer-Geschwindigkeiten 75MBps download und 45MBps upload. Und das nur mit ac bereits! Am Ende des Monats kommt die neue Intel ax Karte, ich bin gespannt!!! Ich bin vollkommen zufrieden!

Update-8: 03.07.2021, gerade heute kaputtgegangen... also nach 2 Jahren und einem Monat. Egal, ob ich es ein- oder ausschalte, nur das Logo leuchtet, und es gibt kein weiteres Lebenszeichen mehr. Hard-Reset kann ich auch nicht machen. R.I.P.

Update-7: Asymmetrie kommt eigentlich aus 160 Mhz. Es sieht so aus, wenn ich manuell ein Kanal eingebe, wie 56, kann der Router die Hilfskanäle nicht richtig einstellen oder so. Denn ständig bekomme ich 720 Mbps Rx, und es geht nicht höher. Aber wenn ich die Kanalauswahl auf Auto stelle, bekomme ich meistens den Kanal 36 und dann sind die Rx-Werte über 1000, am häufigsten 1297 Mbps (aber auch höher). Offensichtlich braucht der Router alle Kanäle von 36 bis zu 64 für die 160 Mhz Breite.

Update-6: (15.03.2020) mit Firmware 3.0.0.4.384_7979 und win10 1909 läuft jetzt alles hervorragend. Weiterhin Killer Karte, WPA3, Samsung Galaxy Tab S funktioniert wieder neben AX Modus, und der Samba Server läuft mit win10 ununterbrochen, wieder kann ich Filme mit VLC ohne Störungen sehen. Bin weitgehend zufrieden!!!

Update-5: ich habe die Gigabyte Aorus Karte ausprobiert, auch mit Killer, es gab keinen Unterschied, bis ich plötzlich bessere Rx-Werte bekommen habe ( im letzterem Bild), wahrscheinlich wegen win 10 1903 update. So, ich bleibe beim Killer, und hoffe darauf, dass jemand die Lösung liefert, warum ist diese Karte so asymmetrisch.

Update-4, die Saga geht weiter:
Ich habe die reine Intel AX200 Karte installiert, dieselbe Asymmetrie, aber wesentlich schwächer als die Killer Karte. Bringt max 1400 Tx und 650 Rx. Ich glaube, es ist auch was mit meiner m.2->pcie Karte (von Gigabyte für 160 Mhz Intel Wireless-AC 9260). Mal sehen, Fortsetzung folgt. ;-)

Update-3:
WiFi Radar kann 160Mhz Netzwerke wirklich nicht identifizieren, es zeigt 10 Mhz BW un 802.11n. Sie erscheinen nicht einmal auf dem Schaubild der APs. An Friztbox habe 160 Mhz zurückgestellt zu 80 Mhz und dann sehe ich plötlich 80 Bandwidth mit Grafik. Mit Acrylic WiFi Home kann ich alle beide richtig sehen, und an MaxSpeed sogar auch, dass der Asus gt-ax11000 router wirklich mit ax Mode funktioniert. Also, Fazit: Router ist OK, Killer ax Karte nicht unbedingt kompatibel mit ihm.

Update-2:
Obwohl ich alles auf Auto und 160Mhz stelle, zeigt WiFI Radar (Insight) nur ein mieses 80 Mhz ac Netzwerk, statt 160 Mhz ax. Hat jemand Erfahrung, wie man ein ax Netzwerk zwingend bekommen kann? PS: WiFi Radar zeigt mein 160 Mhz Fritzbox ac Netzwerk als 10 Mhz n Netzwerk. Alles durcheinander...

Update:
Jetzt läuft es mit Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 (zweites Bild), Tx-Rate ist höher auf 1700-1800, aber Rx-Rate wurde wesentlich schlechter. Etwas fehlt hier, ich werde mit der Intel Karte versuchen.
