    These are solid wired headphones. When I bought mine, they were 100$ and it was a great deal. Since then the price was marked up and I don’t 100% recommend them anymore. The mics fine, you can’t expect headphones mics to be good, and the sound quality is also fine. If you are scared from the reviews saying they break quickly, either they were VERY rough with the headset or it was just a faulty headset. Mine has been with me for 2.5 years and still works fine. My only complaint from long term use is that the leather headband gets a little rougher up but not bad enough to wear you can notice. They are a bit bulky but it’s not too bad.

    The fit has little to no adjustablity, meaning if your head isn't the right size, you're sol. It sits a little big on my head, which is impressive, causing the headset to be lower than I'd like, and loser.
    The sound quality sounds great when listening to music or playing games in surround sound.. but does terrible with voices in surround sound, so if you want to play a game and hear which direction a noise is in AND talk to your friends, again you're SOL.
    The voice quality is shockingly bad, my friends all but demanded me to use my built in microphone rather than the one that "sounded like you are talking through a cup a couple yards away".
    The headset is also fairly heavy making it annoying to wear for long periods of time, but is very cushioned which is nice in the short term. Finally, the thing is COVERED in lights, which can't be turned off short of unplugging it. So if you have a dedicated gaming setup near your bed, either get used to the light or unplug it every night and slowly damage your USB port...

    Amazing sound qualities! There are different settings regarding sound, which you can adjust between 4 modes. All the settings produced clear sound. We've watched movies on Netflix and videos on U-tube, listened to music, as well as played some games. It's very easy to use with any device that accepts a USB connection. The ear phones are made of soft leather fit comfortably and remain comfortable for long periods of time. The headband is elastic. We are truly impressed with the sound quality. I have no reservations on recommending this gaming headset.

    I was a bit skeptical when I chose this head set as I have tried many different gaming head sets over the years, and have always wound up being disappointed in the sound quality in the end. Not so with the Acer Predator Galea 500 gaming headset. I LOVE this headset! While I don't have VR on my gaming system yet, I do play games. I put the headphones on and headed out on an adventure, I was astounded that the headset even works for the sound in a regular game and not just in a VR experience. If I turned my head while I was playing the game, the sound and what I would hear would change too. The sound through this headset is the best I have experienced yet. I can't wait to be able to try this headset while playing VR as it is an amazing experience just playing a game normally and using this headset.

    I've now gone through two malfunctioning Gallea 500s. The first after a week, the second after 15 months. Both times the issue appears to be with the controller dongle/DAC and its inability to switch between modes (ie. 3d Soundscape, movies, music modes, etc.) On my second headset the 3d sound mode just stopped working properly out of nowhere.

    I'm still giving this 4 stars because it's my favourite gaming headset of all time. Super comfortable for larger heads, the coolest headset aesthetics I've ever seen, and (most importantly) the biggest audio advantage I've ever had in gaming with the 3d soundscape (3d headtracking) technology. You can truly pinpoint where your enemies are when gaming unlike anything else (except perhaps true surround sound). Audio quality is nothing special, but I use this for gaming.

    I won't be buying a third Gallea 500, however. Going with the HyperX Cloud S Orbit which also has 3d head tracking. Hopefully I'll get luckier with the reliability on that one, because the reliability of the Gallea 500 is truly trash. Such a shame.

    Der Klang ist mäßig, die Mikrofonqualität ist miserabel und die Einstellung recht umständlich. Insgesamt viel zu teuer für das, was es leistet. Für den halben Preis erhält man ein besseres Produkt von Razor oder anderen Marken.
