Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This is a genuine Apple product. When I purchased, it was orig $19.99 on sale for $13.99 and a handful of reviews said it was an apple knock-off, so I was a bit worried. But this is the real deal and came carefully packaged up to Apple standards with even a paper protective sleeve around the adapter fastened with light adhesive.Earlier I found a helpful youtube video highlighting how to tell the difference between a real Apple and fake 5V power adapter, and this meets all the criteria. The real ones:-Have grey text-Have no misspellings-Balance easily on the prongs-Have a more recessed USB port that cable fits into flushlyThe fake ones:-Have black text-Often have misspellings-Do not balance easily on the prongs-Have a USB port where the cable does not fit into fully and there is a gapYou can confidently buy this as a genuine Apple product.
This block came in an Apple box and looks exactly like the Apple OEM product that came with my iPhone. I had to replace mine, because I “let somebody borrow it at work...” and we all know how that goes. It does not overheat and charges the iPhone 7 in about the same time as any other chargers I use. It definitely appeared to be new and unused (not refurbished). The price was better than what I would have paid by going through the manufacturer. I’m happy with it and would definitely purchase again.
Ordered this because I needed another "cube" to keep my wireless bluetooth earbuds charged up! Working great. Hint: Check the recommendations on your electronics for wattage requirements. Faster is not always best. The ratings below can be deceiving. The "charging power" is not the fastest, but it is the proper one for the device so you don't end up in frying the circuits. "Value" is average, which is "OK." You are going to pay the Apple premium to get original Apple parts.
This power adaptor came in Apple original packaging, along with 2 pieces of Apple informational and legal paperwork, all inside the small Apple white box. The box was sealed-closed, it had never been opened before, it was almost uneasy to open the box, which was a good thing. I charged my iPhone 6 with this last night to 100% and had no issues. This plugs into the Lightning to USB Cable (1m), which is sold separately (Model # A1480). The 2 pieces together then charge Apple products when plugged into an electrical wall outlet, that’s how I use this product. I am glad I bought this product from Amazon and not from Apple directly. I spent $16.01 on this, including the tax. Apple sells these for $19.00 plus tax, so it would have been $20.29 for the same product if bought from Apple directly. Prices will vary in the future, but as I was buying this product, that’s what the prices were. I am very happy I bought this product. It was all new, all legitimate, and all Apple everything, for $4 less than buying from Apple direct. You must buy or have the separate Apple Lightning to USB Cable (1m) (A1480) in order for this power adaptor to work though. The model # for this power adaptor is A1385. 🤩🔥💯🤩
I purchased this from Amazon to insure I got a real Apple charger. There are many knockoffs and fakes (complete with Apple wording on the back) so I am glad Amazon now offers this themselves. I saved about $5 vs. an Apple Store and shipping was free.
I thought all chargers were pretty much the same, until I read a detailed technical article which both tested and disassembled chargers from several name-brand companies as well as some knock-offs/fakes. Apparently the Apple has the "cleanest" power output of any phone charger, including those from such excellent rival companies as Samsung (only an HP tablet charger was rated higher). This same article also lambasts Apple for charging $29.95 for the classic cube charger - but you may have noticed that the Apple Store price is now just $19.95 and the Amazon price is even $5 less. So for the revised pricing, this charger imho is a "best buy".
Note that this is rated to put out 5 watts, but tested as putting out 6 watts, 20% more. In addition, most chargers delivered less power as they came closer to full charge, but the Apple continued to deliver more power. Although reviewers note that this compact cube charger only puts out half as much power as an iPad charger (even less than the increased 12 watt output on the iPad 4 charger), I have easily charged an iPad 2, in sleep mode, with my 5W Apple cube charger. It really puts out! Charging times are naturally longer, and you WON'T be charging an iPad 3 or 4 while playing a power hungry game - you will barely stay even with the power consumption - but if you can accept the longer charging times, the Apple cube charger WILL work.
I was hauling around a 12 watt iPad 4 charger for all my Apple (and non-Apple!) charging needs, until I read the article and realized I wasn't overloading the Apple cube charger by using it to charge bigger devices than the phone, Touch, and Mini devices it was designed for. It charges at half the rate on larger devices, but for travel that still means even an iPad charges up overnight. I also use the Apple cube now on my Google Nexus 4 phone etc. simply due to the higher quality of the power output. I haven't noticed any slowdown in charge time on non-Apple devices.
I will link to the power charger reviews in the comments section.
I had no wall adapter with my IPod only would connect to my computer via USB for charging.. Found this at a very reasonable price on Amazon and it works great with my IPod, which has a computer-connecting USB cord. I plug that cord to my IPod and then into the adapter and am able to plug it into a wall outlet to charge it much quicker than via computer. Have also used this to charge my Nook and find it works fine, as well, though I use the appropriate USB cord that came with the Nook, plugging it into the wall using this wall adapter... Recently bought a Garmin GPS which came without a wall adapter and this fits the bill perfectly. Excellent value for the money.
