Free PS5 upgrade (Not till 2021).Launch PS4 consoles may have more bugs, glitches and frame rate issues compared to playing on PS5 at game's launchSetting/StoryFirst person shooter taking place in the futuristic Night City where cybernomic body augmentation is the norm, and gangs/factions/corporations take control of the city. A more violent and edge take on Blade Runner in terms of themeYou play as V who's looking for a body augmentation that grants the user immortality. Biggest clue you have is Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves), an anti-corporate rockstar who died years before the start of the game, has his memories downloaded into a chip Black Mirror style. Chip is inserted into your brain, and he gives you tips along your journey as you're the only one who can see him.Gameplay to cutscene appear seamless in most scenarios; similar to God of War, but in first person. Individuals who overdo cyber enhancements making them insane. You personally not able to overdo cyber enhancements making them hard encountersThere are bugs in the game. If anything like Witcher 3 (same developer as this game) will all be patched out overtime. For those who could wait, i would for a better immersive experience. Game should have been delayed until 2021, but seeing it's the end of the console generation (X1, PS4) they probably wanted to release it during the holidays to capture the most audienceMultiple endings, more then the 3 backstories you start off with. My first playthrough main lining the story (with some side quests) took around 20 hours. Not your typical 50+ hours main line story, but there is good pacing and minimal filler. Game has tons of post game contentMay be one of the most immersive open world game I've played. Hype is warranted; not the greatest game of all time, but is one of the best games of the year/console generation (X1, PS4)

When I first read reviews of Cyberpunk 2077 they said that I might end up spending my time just driving around the city just for the pleasure of it. Hah, not me, I thought, total waste of time. The first time I tried to play was right after it was released on Stadia. I got about an hour into it and quit. I might have been put off by the genital selection dialog. Considering how many bugs there were, I was pretty annoyed such a useless feature was there instead of being slightly more reliable.

Fast forward a few years, after the DLC was released, I decided to give it another chance. This time I picked up the PS5 version (which you get for free for getting the PS4 version), and OMG... what a game. I can't even begin to describe the depth of the game, only that I put over 120 hours into one play through and I still didn't get to everything. There are so many play styles supported... so many weapons for different kinds of playing. And who knew that Keanu could act? The story is really, really good. So is the voice acting. The missions range from amazing to just OK, but there are so many amazing ones, that I treated the OK ones as practice. There are a ton of different endings depending on player choices, but with strategic saves you can see all of them without having to do a new game. Combat is amazing; when you get into your style it is certainly a power fantasy running around, dominating the field.

Oh... and there was a point after I got better at the vehicle controls (the vehicle controls are atrocious, but at some point it stops mattering) I found myself driving from place to place on a motorcycle, lane splitting, running lights, just at high speed instead of using the insta-travel kiosks... I still miss it.

Oh... the bugs... there are lots of them. They're all annoying. But I didn't run into any that broke my play. The game is so good I'm going to overlook them, but even at this point it will crash, secondary features will stop working (requiring a game restart) or very occasionally a new version will leave you with a missing equipped item or two.

I've done all the endings but the secret ending... my main character did not handle some dialog correctly and I don't have access to it. Maybe I'll do another play through...

Obvious a lot of issues for many players, I won't take away from their complaints but can only offer my experience. It has been four months since I got this game and it is still something I play several times a week. I completed one play through which clocked in at 110-112 hours (nomad), and currently on a second play-through (corpo) at about 70 hours. Yup, there are bugs, but my bugs have been way less worse then others.

Complete crashes - I would get them after about 3-4 hours of playing. Normally only one during that time. Since the latest update (1.20), I have played about 10-12 hours and no crashes. I am sure there are some out there waiting for me but none yet.

Lag - probably the most annoying part on my PS4. It most often occurs when I just start playing the game for the day. You will draw a weapon and no weapon appears for five seconds, or you are aiming and no reticule shows up for 20-30 seconds. After the first 10-15 minutes pass, it is better. It will still get choppy, however it is playable and the choppiness isn't enough for me to put it down because it is brief or goes away.

I really like this game. I wish they had a better launch and a better user experience for some very valid complaints out there. I can only speak to the fun I have with the game and it keeps me coming back. The crafting system is more complex then I realized on my first paly through and that has me searching for the base weapons to craft into iconics, and some of the side-story details are really well thought out and fun to play. Some days when I play, I spend three hours just looking for the little baseball bats on the map and go fight crime the entire time. I just really enjoy this world and the storylines. I look forward to more updates to the game over the coming months and I hope others can have the experience I have had.

It is so extremely disappointing to see people rating this game anything 3 stars or below. Before I begin let me preface with a few things:
1) The only reason people are rating it so low, is because of current gameplay bugs and/or they do not like the graphics that their 6+ year old console is putting out on a game that should not have been produced for past-gen consoles. Bugs will be fixed and next gen consoles are out.
2) CD Projekt Red worked on this game for 8+ years, and while there are problems with it at launch, they delayed it a numerous amount of times and were relentlessly criticized by fans for these delays and so they let the customers have it. It should not have been released this year, because obviously they were not done. I would argue majority of the people negatively rating it are the ones that can't wait a little, and wanted it immediately.

On to the good part. I got this game on launch day for $50 (a steal), and as far as I can tell, it is still $50 on Amazon, which I would take advantage of while you can. I have put approx. 30 hours into this game and I still am no where near completing it. I believe I am close to completing the main story but I do not think I have put a dent into the Night City world as a whole. The game is really amazing. As a RPG fan, it is everything you can ask for. I play on a PS5 and I still have my fair share of bugs, glitches, and game crashes, but still I boot it up again and have fun in this world that has limitless possibilities. Easiest way I can explain this game is if you threw together Fallout, WatchDogs, and GTA. I do not know how this game runs on a PS4 or Xbox One, but on next-gen it has its bugs but it is really amazing.

ALL IN ALL, do yourself a favor, do not listen to the negative impatient people and enjoy this game for what it is. The bugs will be fixed, the game will run smooth. Don't be the person who missed out on playing this one.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the Best game I’ve ever played until now. It is yes, buggy. And needs some polishing but....it has a beautiful world and a amazing story. The gameplay is perfectly thought and the RPG elements are clearly all over and always making you want to go further into the game. The side missions are also always brilliant and fun. I do recommend yes...if you play it in a base ps4 to play it with a open mind...the bugs are disappearing slowly with every update. So if you want to wait. Please do, but this game is a must-play. I play it in ps4 pro and for me it runs almost perfectly except for some crashes every now and then. But other than that it plays as perfect as I hoped it would play. The game is everything CDProjekt Red promised. Please give it a try. And if you don’t believe me. Then wait until it’s cheaper and see it for yourself. P.S. Even though this is the American version of you play it in a Japanese account it will censor all the Gore and Nudity. But there’ll be no Japanese language support tough. Good luck and welcome to night City. 🤟🔥🤟
