    The gopro 8 is amazing in every way. I am blown away with the upgrades to it. The hyper-lapse feature has already paid for the gopro 10x over doing a job where I needed the ability to go into realtime for a few secs and back to hyper-lapse. I wish the app would catch up and allow you to switch to real time from hyper-lapse remotely instead of only on camera.
    The only issue is getting it properly mounted bc the mounting clips that pull down are convenient, but tend to make it wobble or very easy to set up crooked. The other thing with this package is that the “mini” tripod is a waste. It’s made of cheap plastic and has broken already, I would like to see a nice metal one that extends a little further and threaded so it can go on a tripod or light stand.

    The video recording is just amazing, it's unrivalled by no other. I do wish there was a seperate easy mode for amateurs to using a GoPro. The photos are strikingly color accurate. The companion app isn't that great to use. As far as durability is concerned, the camera is very robust. But do note, that this time, you can't manually replace a cracked lense, so I would recommend a tempered glass lense protector. Also rather than buying a head mount for action stuff, consider buying a chest mount. Battery life is decent, but keeping an extra charged one is recommended.

    It can shoot 4K at 50/60 frames per second, and the image quality in this video mode is perfect on a bright day (but degrades a lot indoors and in the night - the noise becomes annoying once the ISO setting goes beyond 800). The electronic stabilization is great under a bright light. In dim light the electronic stabilization results into artifacts that ruin the image (so you should either use a gymbal, or mount it to a heavy stable object, or freeze when shooting your video). 2.7K seems to be a fake mode added for marketing purposes only - the quality looks the same as when upsampling the image shot in 1080. But the 4K video quality blows all competitor cameras away.

    Audio Adapter does not work!! Returned audio adapter since the camera is a week old and never used. Received 2nd adapter and same issue so cant be the adapter must be the camera. Now as summer comes to a close I am waiting for GoPro to receive my return and send me another camera since I was 5 days past the refund date and couldnt just go to BestBuy and buy another one....
    Started doing research and yep the audio adapter issues are happening to a lot of users. For this much money this should not be happening and the camera should not be getting this hot. I live in TX dont want to hear the heat shut the camera down...

    The camera battery it's not super but it's ok!

    The voice control isnt so good! But's fine, I think it's kinda trickly.

    Pd: If you want to take care of your camera I recommend to buy it with acc kit that includes cover lens to protect the camera and an acrylic protector.

    I've been using an AKASO EK7000 and a Crosstour action camera for the past three years, and before I went to a GoPro, I didn't think it was worth the extra money. But it really is. It feels better made and more robust, and the camera quality and stabilization.... wow. What a difference.

    First of all, the touch screen display is clear and responsive considering how small the screen is. The battery lasts a longggggggg time compared to the ASKASO and Crosstour. There's loads of different camera settings, with stabilization functions as well. You can adjust the camera zoom for a narrow, linear, wide, or ultra-wide viewing. As for the camera itself, I'd say it gets a 9/10 in my books. The reason it's not a 10 is because sometimes the quality of an object I’m filming on, from, let's say 40 feet away, doesn’t look as sharp as I'd like it to be - I'm being picky here.

    The only things I don’t like, is you can’t charge it while you’re recording (I know, pain) and trying to remove the micro-SD card, which is right next to where the battery is, can be fiddly. Cards up to 256GB are compatible in case you wondered.

    Now, if you're like me, and you want a reliable, high-quality, extremely smooth, and robust action camera, then it's a no brainer – buy one. However, if you only want a camera that’ll ‘do the job’ and has an okay picture quality, then there’s cheaper action cameras on the market.

    The reason why I gave it 4/5 stars for ‘Value for money’ is because I bought it on the Amazon Prime Day deals, when it was £250 – which is brilliant value for money. Now, it’s back to £320.
