Cost
Functional noise cancelling
Good sound profile
Bluetooth connectivity is strong (I had a pair of ATX that lost connection if they were in the wrong pocket, these are good across my whole house)
Cons:
Noise cancelling can be easily overwhelmed compared to more premium headphones
Not as easy to forget you are wearing as the open back 598s that made me love Sennheisser
May leave you wishing you had spent 2x as much for the step up to Sony MX-1000, Sennheisser Momentum, or Bose Quiet Comfort 35
I will start by saying that I am a Sennheiser fan, and that I own many of their products, including the venerable HD 598s and several other premium open back headphones. I wanted something that I could take with me without having to worry about cords or that sound was leaking to those around me, and these seemed like a good choice. I already had a pair of over the ear Bose headphones that kind of filled that spot, but they weren't noise cancelling and I wanted something that was a little better for leaning back and relaxing on airplanes. Are these good for that? Yes. But they are considerably larger, and the two have very different sound profiles. Instead of putting the Bose aside or gifting them to a young cousin as I thought I would, I find myself trading off between the two. When I go out and about I take the Bose, because they are very compact and comfortable, and unlikely to interfere with headrests; they also allow me to retain a good deal of situational awareness as they don't interfere with peripheral vision and are only marginally sound dampening. When I'm around the house and want a little peace and quiet from the family I use the Sennheisers, and I also bring them anytime I will be staying in a hotel. Even though the noise cancelling isn't perfect, most of the time I would rather have it than not. It performs very strongly to cancel out the sound of fans and other constant droning noise you didn't notice was in your house until you have used noise cancelling and then turned it off again.
Also, in a totally unfair head to head, these don't really stack up against the Sony MX-1000 that I got my dad for his birthday.
I didn't even mention the battery life! With daily use (about 2hr per day) as a college student, I would only have to charge them at least once a week. It also retains charge very well too.
1: the ear pads are just a tad small like everyone's saying. But I'm 5'11 with a big head and big ears, and it took a good few hours before I noticed them to be tight on the ears. As well as the head band is immediately uncomfortable, but loosening the headband did make comfort bearable.
2: They aren't as loud as I'd hoped $200 headphones would be. Granted they're bluetooth, with a great battery life. But for most people who don't like to make their ears bleed, I'm sure they're plenty loud enough.
-Disclaimer though, for GAMING, these are loud enough to make the game crystal clear in every footstep, wind gust and silenced gun shot. It's practically as good as 7.1 surround sound. But dont quote me on that. Everyone's ears are more or less sensitive than the next.
3: The minimal buttons, and programming along with the buttons, are pretty simple to figure out. Without even looking at the guide that tells you how to use it all. You can't use them while they're charging, but charging only takes a couple hours where using them takes far more hours to even get a low battery warning.
4: ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) could definitely be a little better, as these are advertised to do as such. It does work, and works well; but not $200 wireless bluetooth well. If they were louder, a little better quality material, or even just bigger on the ear pads, I wouldn't complain at all about the anc at this price point. But they put the money into the battery for sure over the anc. Just wish it wasn't the presentation to this headset considered the price. All in all, the ANC does work good enough that when you're listening to just about anything, even at the lowest volumes. You are shut out from the real world, although the differences between on and off are noticeable, but it's just as apparent how much better they could've done with the anc.
5: I'd highly recommend these for anybody who's looking for bluetooth and noise cancelling all in one, but I have to admit that at $200, it's not as great as it could be, in such small ways. In the end, these deserve a 4 out of 5.
PS: If you're not leaning towards bluetooth and want to have headphones as nice as these but direct auxiliary only, look at the sennheiser hd500 series (559, 569, etc) around the same price point. The sound will be that much better as well as the comfort, and quality material.

First, they look great, not very premium looking like the expensive counterparts like QC35 and Sony MDR1000X, but pretty decent enough. The all plastic housing and band seems structurally sound and durable but a steel support in the band would definitely had given a piece of mind. 4/5
Coming to the comfort of the headphones, I got to be honest, they are not miserable but they are not comfortable either. They hold down to your jaw line quite hard and the cups are ridiculously small to make the ear curled inside the pads. That does create a bit of discomfort and need quite some time to get used to. Also, the faux leather makes ears a bit sweaty after using it for extending period. However, the pads are incredibly soft, so they don't technically hurt you. But, I have to agree, the design could have been far better. 2.5/5
I have a preference for neutral tones and don't prefer artificially bass boosted sounds. So, I really loved the sound signature of these headphones. I have compared the sound with QC35. They sounded very similar. But, this headphones is definitely not for bassheads as these deliver moderate bass. The sound performance really did it for me. 5/5
Despite writing about the uncomfortable construction of the headphones small ear openings in the pads and the strong grip of the headband, they do instill an advantage towards the noise cancellation feature. The noise isolation is great in these headphones. The active noise cancellation just adds to the noise removal. The active noise cancellation is not exceptional, but works great in removing low frequency background noises like humming of engines or motors. They worked great in drowning the jet engine sounds when on an airplane. However, human sounds and other sounds like television and cars are not cancelled. Theoretically, sudden random sounds can never be cancelled by any noise cancellation system but QC35 does active drown the noise of talking or random noises a bit. So, yes, don't expect wonders in this department. It does good, but nothing mindblowing. 4/5
Battery life is just awesome. Easily gave me more than 20 hours with Noise cancellation on. So full marks in this department too. 5/5
Connectivity is great. AptX technology leads to unperceivable lag when watching movies in bluetooth mode. Also, there's no loss in connectivity anytime during playback. Full marks for that. 5/5
The design of the controls are not great though. The buttons seem quite confusing and a separate switch for noise cancellation would have been great. It took me sometime to figure out activating/deactivating NC in both bluetooth and wired mode. Also, the switch to change/pause tracks is bit disappointing. The material seems a bit flimsy and might be the first thing to fall apart. 3.5/5
So overall, I would give 4/5 rating for the headphones. They are great for the price but few thing could have been much better. Totally recommend this product.
