360-Degree Protection from drop, shock, and impact:
UAG’s patented hard armor shell and soft rubber bumpers have been designed to absorb impact from drops while protecting your MacBook Pro 15-inch. Our case cushions the energy from a drop by transferring the impact away from the laptop and spreading it through the outer shell, protecting it while a dual-lock screen closure makes sure your laptop stays shut, even through repeated drops.
- Armor shell and impact resistant bumpers
- Dual lock secure screen closure
- Non-slip tactile grip
- Cooling vents for uncompromised air flow
- Meets military drop-test standards (MIL STD 810G 516.6)

Easy access to all ports and air vents to keep things cool:
All ports have special cutouts for easy access while the device is being used or stowed, and air vents to keep the device cool under heavy use. Rubber skid pads prevent the MacBook from sliding on slippery surfaces and elevates the device for maximum ventilation. A tactical rubber non-slip grip on the hinge provides confidence when transporting the device and prevents accidental drops.

One of the features I personally like is the locking feature when you close the laptop. I honestly do not know where some people are stating how it is difficult to open the laptop back up (even bothering some so much that they would return it). It's incredibly simple to work around - a small pinch of the rubber bumper outward will do the trick every time. I can see how some people may complain how it is hard to try to take this case off. First question I would have for them is, why are you wanting to take the case off to begin with... repeatedly? I don't think so.
Overall, my recommendation is yes absolutely this is worth the extra $ to protect your MacBook Pro. You should buy it if you're thinking about it.
While I don't mind using a sleeve case, I find that having a polycarbonate shell protects my investments (and my clients photos) from possible damage.
I have a new mid-2017 Macbook Pro Retina with Touch Bar A1707 and it fits like a glove.
One reviewer spoke about these small tabs by the edge of the wrist rest area protruding up... I don't find them to be a problem... I guess thats a preference sorta thing.
One thing I do wish they provided, was a "sticker" protector around edges, especially the back edge of the laptop. While I get why the back edge where the hinge is not covered in plastic... I wish they had some sort of sticker "skin" they would provide you with. But thats easily remedied with another company out there for a few extra bucks.
Another reviewer was talking about how his macbook was sliding around inside the case... well it's obvious that he/she didn't buy the right case, or bothered to follow the instructions properly. lol... I've got zero movement and flush corners and sides.
I found that I can manipulate the top cover to slightly loosen the clips on one side so they can be unclipped without difficulty. Once one side is done, the other side can be unclipped the same way. It takes a little finesse and patience, NOT a lot of force.
If you find yourself putting a lot of force on it, or bending your screen, or damaging your fingernails, you are doing it wrong. STOP. Take a break. Calm down. Be patient and careful.
One person commented on YouTube about using one or two credit cards to facilitate removal of the side clips. That seems like a good idea, but I didn't have to do that.
Other than the removal issue...
I like the case a lot. It's very light weight and seems to provide a lot of protection where the screen is most likely to get damaged in a fall, i.e. the corners. Installation was very quick and easy - Just follow the provided instructions.
I recently dropped my trusty old Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and shattered the screen. Repair cost me almost $200, and finding someone who would do it wasn't easy. I really don't want to repeat that with my far more valuable MacBook Pro! This case is cheap insurance to supplement taking frequent backups of your data.
I'm sure the experience is different from one model to another. My MacBook Pro is a 15-inch with Touch Bar, model A1707.

Marktwirtschaft halt…
