    This was exactly what I expected. I ordered the 129gb model and that is exactly what I got. It was wrapped in the plastic and was definitely brand new. At the time of writing this it was $100 cheaper than buying direct, so it is perfect.As for the iPad itself I got it to replace an iPad I purchased new in 2012, so the 7 year difference has definitely demonstrated some upgrades!

    I've been wanting an ipad, and I know these things can be expensive. High prices don't always justify the product. If you look around you can find a ton of quality tablets that range from cheap to mega expensive. I had experience with some of the cheaper models and they do work, I just wanted something that was a little bit more. I like objects with larger screen sizes then a cellphone, and I like my system to run programs and games in an efficient manner. I don't want to see the games lag, and I don't want to see the system struggling everytime I ask it do something that I think the system was meant to do. That being said, I'm not going to load up a bunch of top end high resource mega programs on this thing. I knew going in that I wanted to be able to watch movies, play free to download tablet games, read books, check email, watch youtube, check on my amazon orders and look at websites and the news. IPADs are not ereaders. If you read books more then you surf the internet, you can get a really top end ereader for slightly less, but the machine only does electronic books. This ipad is multifunctional. It does electronic books, games or internet stuff very well. If you don't own a tablet, start with one of these. They're a total pleasure to use. My wife does own an IPAD air from many years back, and her ipad runs tremendously well. Buy an ipad because you want something portable. Buy an ipad because you want to pull up stuff quickly (like cooking videos in the kitchen) and that you can use on airplanes or while inside of a library. Ipads are great for checking out electronic books for free. Ipads don't work great outdoors, so don't expect to see things well outside. Know what you're getting when you buy this, and you'll be very pleased with this product. It's a great value for the money, and you won't be disappointed. I'm in love.

    UPDATE: 6-22-20. The love-hate relationship has turned to mostly hate! Worked fine,,,,GREAT....until updates, just like my previous one I finally had to scrap! It deleted all email contacts when updated! On the new one: What genius thought replacing actual calendar date info with a simple DOT was a good idea!!! Fire his/her ass! Now I have to tap the dot to see what the appointment or activity is there! Apple 'tech support' ( a sick joke) was zero help! OLD REVIEW BEGINS: Just received Friday, so don’t know about battery life, but so far looks great. No hassle setting up, even for me, closing in on age 80! Most of all it works! The touch screen is perfect. It updated immediately to 12.1.4. And it was about $100 less than my 16GB Air that never worked right! It refused to update for years! And Apple was no help at any time. I had the Pro 11” in my cart when I read it has no audio out jack! A necessary feature I use a lot. I don’t want to mess with adapters, and you have to pay for them. With all the addons I was around $1300! Now, for $326 I am happy as a pig in mud! I recommend this!

    This is my second iPad. I had a 2nd generation one that by now has slowed to a crawl.
    Using this iPad reminds me of how fast my old one felt when I originally got it. Things again load fast, Garage Band works as expected, videos play without hiccups, and on top of that, it works with the Apple Pencil.

    I paid $329 for the 128Gb version, which was a great deal. I guess it was discounted because Apple was about to release the new iPad Air. I cannot justify paying the higher price of the other models when this one is the right size and does everything I want. Unless you have some really good reason for choosing the more expensive Pro models, the iPad 9.7 128 and the Apple Pencil are a winning combination at a reasonable price.

    I bought the iPad, the Pencil and a keyboard cover (from Logitech). After using it for a couple of weeks, I decided that the cover took away most of the pleasure of the iPad, turning it into a heavy laptop that cannot be used to comfortably read a book or even draw pictures. I returned the cover and instead went with a simple cheap cover that includes a pencil holder. Unless typing is very important to you, this seems to be a much better combination for me.

    We all know what the iPad is these days. They are multifunctional and have many uses to keep you connected and productive.

    The device is much lighter that previous iterations. If you haven’t upgraded in the last 4-5 years, you will notice a drastic difference. The screen resolution is wonderful and the motion (video, using camera, opening / closing apps... etc) is smooth. There are a plethora of productivity apps (even Microsoft branded).

    I feel there are still limitations to the iPad versus a laptop ... though the gap is getting better.

    My only complaint is the screen border is still fairly thick. The overall size of the iPad has decreased and became lighter, but I feel more progress can be made in this area without having to purchase the larger 12.9” iPad.

    The battery life is good. We will see how it stacks up 2 years from now.

    Overall, this is a good buy and is highly recommended. Even though I feel laptops are much better suited for students and business, this iPad and current app market place offer a good experience.

    I’m a huge fan of the Apple iPad. My main observation is the user-friendly qualities. And in the rare instance there’s something you can’t figure out, a quick search on the internet will always resolve your issue quickly and easily. I have tried other brands of tablets and they pale in comparison. I had an original Apple iPad Air and would still be using it but it was only 16 GB. The iOS uses approximately 10 GB so had to upgrade. You can’t go wrong with an iPad!!!
