Product Description
A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new 3rd person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively-driven single player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the iconic lightsaber - all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors. While mastering your abilities, players will engage in cinematically-charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films. Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your Jedi training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path. Star Wars fans will recognize iconic locations, weapons, gear, and enemies while also meeting a roster of fresh characters, locations, creatures, droids and adversaries new to Star Wars. As part of this authentic Star Wars story, fans will delve into a galaxy recently seized by the Empire. As a Jedi hero-turned-fugitive, players will need to fight for survival while exploring the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization all in an effort to rebuild the remnants of the Jedi Order as the Empire seeks to erase the Jedi completely.

GRIPS (only two; one is sure to be patched sooner than later)
-Well-known Audio stuttering glitch that slightly affects gameplay but often ruins cutscenes unless you Alt-F4 and re-enter them from a previous checkpoint.
-Lightsaber collectibles were cool; however, some of the Poncho and BD-1 skins felt...unnecessary. I love cosmetics, but give me cosmetics I might use and skip the silly ones.
LOVES
-The characters were expertly done. I felt truly immersed into the world of this game. Kal isn't the most-developed (that's what sequels are hopefully for!), but Cere had a level of depth I did not expect form a supporting character. Greez and Marren were also heart-warming additions, and BD-1 can "beep-boop" it up like R2D2 and the best of them. There were several moments where I really felt emotionally connected and affected by their developments.
-The worlds were absolutely stunning. I was leery of how well having four primary worlds would play out, but the way the story takes you to, from, and in between each one worked (so, add another point for good pacing). Worlds that at first seemed small and simplistic quickly turned into massive labyrinths with connecting paths, shortcuts, secrets, and fun platforming experiences.
-The mechanics - both combat and platforming - were a treat. I began as a clunky Padawan and felt the progression into a powerful Jedi. Dark Souls-esque (Sekiro/Bloodbourne-esque) with just the right amount of forgiveness worked in through difficulty settings. Jedi Master was challenging enough to make it feel like a souls-game without quite as much frustration, while still providing a few moments where you truly just had to shut up and 'get gud' to progress. I imagine Jedi Grandmaster difficulty would scratch any Souls fan's itch.
If you're a Star Wars fan, a Souls game fan, an Uncharted fan, or just looking for a good story and a fun game, give this game a try - it's worth every penny.
Put your thinking cap on, because you literally have to figure out how to get from one place to another on the map. This game is not centered around action. Although, it's got PLENTY of of it! The fight graphics and animation are next level! It's story and character driven, and designed for those who love to go off the obvious or marked path. You're missing out AND cheating yourself if you don't take the time to explore the world around you. No glitter trails or lines to follow. Figure it out as you go. Bd-1 is adorable! Easily surpasses BB-8 on many levels. I'm not hating on BB-8. Just sayin' BD-1 is totes adorbz!!
Oh yeh, btw, alot of the creatures and enemies don't play fair. Stay alert! You will NOT be warned of any impending ambushes!
If you love classic Star Wars, love the idea of wielding a lightsaber and the Force like only the best of Jedi could, if you enjoy the challenge of consciously strategizing your attack and evasion moves against your opponents (button mashing will not get you all the way through this one), if you're overly curious and just HAVE to see what's on the other side, down the hole, in the cave, or ever wonder "what happens if I push that button?", you just might REALLY love this game.
