    I first bought the Series 0 thinking how incredibly cool this will be to have a multipurpose computer/watch/communicator on my wrist. Well, the Series 0 was slow/sluggish and really not that useful.

    Flash forward now to the Series 5 which I have been wearing for a month now - it is super responsive, really useful and has now become integral to my daily life. Weather it is being able to glance at the always on display and tell the time/temperature/chance of rain/battery life to being able to track all kinds of fitness, to geeking out over all the different super-customizable watch faces...this is just super cool.

    The improved support for Siri has also become really useful - I am leveraging it more and more all the time.

    Unbeatable smart watch. I love the comfort and durability of the black sports band and the sleek durability of the black stainless steel watch case.

    I went from almost never wearing the watch except for workout sessions to always wearing it. Bater life is really good when you turn the brightness of the display, turn off "always on", and minimize the real-time complications such as "noise" and "compass" which require a lot of processing . Doing that I can get a full day of use, and even an exercise session in and still have over 50% battery left.

    My launch day silver stainless Series 0 (no longer supported by Apple) that had been retired to night/sleep wear had the battery swell up last month and was not repairable. My day watch was a gray ceramic Series 3 Edition cellular, which was serving my needs fine and I had no plans to upgrade. With no night/sleep watch (important to me), I needed to get something in a hurry...and the Series 5 Titanium Edition was still back-ordered 3+ weeks. Enter the Series 5 in black stainless.

    I'm truly disappointed that Apple doesn't offer the Series 5 in gray ceramic. Settling for black stainless after two years with the gray ceramic felt like a huge step backwards. After a month of days in the stainless and nights in the ceramic, the look of the black stainless is growing on me though. It still has the gloss of the ceramic, and is not wearing at all that I can see.

    Although the screens are only marginally larger on the Series 4/5 watches, it seems like acres of extra pixels on my wrist. The cellular coverage (important to me) is also much better in the Series 5 than it is in the Series 3 ceramic. The fall alert feature is a nice addition for someone with medical issues, and I do daily ECG readings to check my ticker's control circuitry.

    Overall, I'm happy with the new Series 5 and glad that I made the unexpected purchase.....

    I was not convinced I needed a smart watch, decided to lose some weight and more closely watch my weight. Looked at fitness trackers and was unimpressed with the need to have a fitness tracker while wearing a watch on the other wrist.

    The cellular can be tricky to set up with your carrier and required me to take a trip to ATT. Cost wise an extra $10.00 per month is worth the cost because the cellular makes this watch a cell phone on your wrist allowing me to leave my phone at home. Cell coverage is good.

    As a health tracker this watch rocks, when linked to the health app and you get a good picture of your health and progress.

    I use AnyList for my shopping list and this watch allows me to not only check my list on the watch but to also crops items off the list while shopping.

    The last Apple watch I owned was aluminum...NEVER AGAIN! It was a great watch but did not hold up well to bumps and scratches. The Stainless Steel on the other hand is a tank and on a whole new level. Not only is the body almost impossible to scratch but the Sapphire glass is absolutely amazing. Sapphire should be used on all the Apple watches. The shiny Space Black looks stunning and I love how you can't tell where the glass ends and the body starts, it's just so seamless. Classy and sporty this watch can do it all. I think the series 5 is the best so far and the latest firmware leaves the series 4 in the dust. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra cash and get the Stainless Steel. You won't regret it!
