This speaker is running circles around my Apple HomePod. So. Many. Circles. If you’re debating between an Apple HomePod or one of these, I’ve got the review you desire..It does everything the HomePod can do and more. They both literally sound the same, give you the weather, answer your questions, provide info about local business’ you may want info for, make calls, texts, etc.If I told you everything this product has in comparison to the Apple HomePod, you’d be here all day.The big things for me: Echo will let me listen to any of my Music subscriptions without using my phone, not just Apple Music. Yeah, I can Airplay something such as Spotify from my phone to the HomePod, but on my Echo I just tell her, and she’s on it.The shopping list is nice to when going around the house to see what needs restocked...You tell her what you want to add and it goes straight to your Amazon account for later.Song quiz is a blast and the kids enjoy the variety of games you can play. There is a Spongebob memory game that’s pretty cute.The only thing I can think of that this cannot do compared to the Apple HomePod would be the mirroring of maybe your personal audio? Maybe? The Hue bulb works great and was a welcome addition. For me, the Echo Studio remains the best, albeit the most expensive, speaker in the Echo line. Paired with a second Studio and the Echo Sub, it produces a well-balanced, expansive sound that makes listening to streamed music a pleasure. The Studio can handle loud volumes with no break up, and it doesn't lose too much bottom end at lower volumes. A much less muddy sound than my stereo-paired "death star" Echos, and much more punch than my stereo-paired "soda can" Echos, but then for the price, I'd expect the Studio to out-perform them both. Still rocking several years on!

The big things for me: Echo will let me listen to any of my Music subscriptions without using my phone, not just Apple Music. Yeah, I can Airplay something such as Spotify from my phone to the HomePod, but on my Echo I just tell her, and she’s on it.

The shopping list is nice to when going around the house to see what needs restocked...You tell her what you want to add and it goes straight to your Amazon account for later.

Song quiz is a blast and the kids enjoy the variety of games you can play. There is a Spongebob memory game that’s pretty cute.

The only thing I can think of that this cannot do compared to the Apple HomePod would be the mirroring of maybe your personal audio? Maybe? Echo might do that also 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn't be surprised, but I can’t confirm this portion of my review for sure.

The best part was the PRICE compared to the Apple HomePod. Much cheaper, same sound AND more features?? As someone who loves her Apple products, I’m disgusted I bought the HomePod and won’t be making the same mistake twice.

This is an Echo/Alexa with better sound and can be paired to each other and a Fire TV. I have three of them. Two are paired with the Fire TV 4K on my main entertainment system. The third is paired to another Fire TV 4K in a different room. The sound is fantastic for just the two little speakers and nothing else. In the smaller room with just one of these, the sound is great too. We love that they are wireless but they can be glitchy and act up. They get stuck or lose audio connection or beginner un-synced (always when the movie gets exciting). Sometimes they reconnect. Other times we have to used our tablet with the controller app to reconnect/reconfigure. Sometimes we just have to unplug everything any plug it back in.

They're still way better than regular Alexa's. They could be worth every penny if they worked flawlessly as intended. But since they don't, they are on the expensive side for how they actually perform. I don't know if I can go back to regular speakers and hard wiring, so we put up with the occasional glitches. I'm still glad I got these, but gladder that I got mine on Prime Day special.

This is my go-to speaker in the room we listen to music the most. Bluetooth connecting is simple, and so is setting up an Alexa speaker group and playing directly from Spotify.

It's not the best HIFI speaker in the world, but don't underestimate it, it packs a serious punch and we rarely listen to it on full volume - and when we do, there is hardly any distortion, but the neighbors sure mind.

I found that it has some delays when pairing it with a TV, even when using the equipped Optical input port and an Optical output from the TV. Same with when it's Bluetoothed to the TV. So my grand plans of using 2x of these for a 2-channel speaker system were scaled back. But using is just for music and entertainment? Great. The best microphone pickup and range of all my other Echo devices.

This is a great all in one unit offering great sound performance. Using Amazon Music tracks sound spacious and the bass is plentiful. We centered the speaker in our kitchen in an open concept home and there is enough volume to fill the first floor and entertain guests / dance offs with the kids etc.
