2 TVs, 1 remote, and nowhere to hide (my old Prime Photos)
UPDATE: if you are looking for 4K gaming or other 4K visuals via hdmi support, you have to go to "Settings" -->"Picture" --> "Advanced Settings" and select HDMI 2.0 (take it off of Auto)...make sure you are using a high speed cable too...i thought my Xbox One X's were being gimped, but my PS4 Pro insisted not only does the TV do 4K, but also HDR...and whereas Sony's system automatically "enacts" to 4K Deep Color, Microsoft's machine will not evem offer it unless the monitor (TV in this case) says its ok. Bonus on choosing Insignia vs Toshiba, initially this was touted as NON-HDR compliant, but it is (firmware update fixed maybe?)...it does not have the Dolby version of HDR10 however...and to me, not worth the extra $100 towards the Toshiba model. So this was still a good deal...you get what you pay for...however....I’m not exactly sure I’m comfortable in that the remote is not unique to its accompanying set. I just started to set up my 2nd TV as these are going to be used for a gaming room...and went to use the the 1st TVs remote to turn it off....and both TVs turned off. Instinct told me I messed up and I grabbed the 2nd remote to turn at least one back on...and both turned on...this is after all the updates including remote updates too lmao. Also I wrote all this so my girlfriend doesn’t see the other reason I’m mad which is there is no way to turn off my old photos uploaded to Prime Photo...can’t delete the tv app and the iOS app at minimum, doesn’t recognize these TVs. So if I become also unidentifiable sans dental records, it’s because she gets curious and tv app exploratory for once and sees old girlfriends from before we were together. THANKS AMAZON!

I bought this TV in October 2020 and for the first 2ish years, it was fantastic! Had little to no issues at all, was fast and reliable but then the screen just went black in the middle of watching a tv show. I tried all the troubleshooting tips online and nothing has worked. I am so disappointed considering everything was great and then like a switch, I can't get my picture back (but it still has sound, explain that to me). EVEN MORE INFURIATING is that I have only had this TV for 2 years and if you just looked at it, you would think its brand new...until you tried to watch something. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

I freaking love this tv, the Alexa function is fun to use, the quality blows me away and the sound is magnificent even without surround speakers. The price is also unbeatable for the size of this tv.

I’m going to insignia from previously having a Roku tv which decided to bug out on me after only 2-3 years of use which I was very disappointed by. My wifi dropped frequently on it and it would give me Black screens and route me back to the Home Screen randomly. This is a HUGE improvement in my opinion and was $100 more than my Roku tv I had originally.

I will say it is quite heavy so you have to be careful when unboxing it, I highly recommend you get a second person to help. It was a struggle on my own getting it out, but I did it and my tv was unscathed.

The legs were a little difficult to put on in my opinion only because you can’t really see the screws unless you’re level with the legs. I had to do mine on my ground because of my living space, I’d recommend propping the tv up on something to put them on horizontally without any issues. Once I got the screws in it was fine. You do need a screw driver of some sort to get the screws in.

My only other complaint is that the hdmi ports are on the left side only, so plan for that when redoing your TV set up. I made it work. Also the tv power cord is VERY short, so you’ll need an extension cord or an outlet very close to it.

Overall, Try it out! I’m sure you’ll love it. I do!

This was a Prime Day deal and it was too good to pass on, or so I thought. A $300 new 55 inch flat screen. Only problem is its an Amazon set TV, meaning its a Fire stick with a screen. Not a real problem, I thought, I had a Fire stick for the bedroom, I had an account, no problem. It arrived, slightly delayed, and I set it up easy enough.
The account log in took a bit, which should have been a red flag, buy I persisted and thought all was well. Not so. Not one movie or show watched was completed. They would play and stop several times, and then end with an apology and a try later message.
It wasn't my wireless either, I usually work on my laptop as I watch TV and I had a consistent connection. To prove it, I grabbed my Fire stick from the bedroom and plugged it into the 2nd HDMI port and had no trouble at all watching anything on any app.
The point I'm trying to make is as a monitor, or just plain TV, the product is fine; great picture, decent sound and crisp colors.
    However,
As a wireless streaming portal, it is worse than useless. It rarely connects and when it does it is easily lost. If I had low bandwidth or a big family making a large demand, I could understand some issues. But I pay for higher bandwidth and live alone so my wireless is strong on all my devices, except this one.
If you make something to be the publics main portal to your domain, your Prime Video world, then at least make sure it works.
    Add on :
New issues, 2 to be be exact
First, after you select your group of movies or shows to watch and begin scrolling through them to choose, the scrolling suddenly jumps through several and you have to go back. It's like the button on the remote is jammed but it never is.
Second, and more irritating is when you are watching a movie, the view suddenly zooms in like a camera close up, but it's not centered. It's very noticeable when the opening credits are going. You have to back out and reload the movie.

So far it has been 2 months and I love this tv. The picture is extremely clear and sound is great. The downside, the remote stopped working for some features. The Alexa button lights up but won't answer when you ask it to do something, also the preset app buttons on the bottom stopped working as well. I have replaced the batteries and tried all the recommended things such as repairing to the tv and resetting the remote and still nothing. For the price I paid for the tv (I got it as a daily deal so it was cheaper than listed) I don't mind replacing the remote, I just wish it was longer than 2 months before it gave out.

We love this TV, the picture quality is awesome, and having Fire TV built in is sweet. The remote is okay, but the button in the center of the directional circle control occasionally sticks. One feature of the Fire TV Cube that is sadly missing from this TV is the ability to talk to Alexa from across the room. The only way to talk to Alexa with this TV is to press the microphone button on the remote. We also need to find out if we can add some external memory to it, because its internal memory isn't that big if you're going to install a lot of apps. We also have it freeze and require a reboot every once in a while, probably also due to the lack of memory. That said, we would absolutely buy this TV even if we knew these shortcomings beforehand.

TLDR: Great TV, great features, needs a better remote, voice-activated Alexa, and more memory to be 5-star.
