Thrown overboard by a storm, Link washes ashore on the mysterious Koholint Island. In order to return home, Link must overcome challenging dungeons and battle against fearsome monsters.

This new version of the classic adventure includes many unique elements that appeared in the original Game Boy release, such as 2D platformer-style rooms and appearances from characters outside of The Legend of Zelda series.

As you clear dungeons throughout the main story, earn dungeon rooms (Chamber Stones), then arrange them into custom layouts in the all-new Chamber Dungeon.

AMAZING Zelda game great for a beginner. I’ve never played a Zelda game before and I am a total wimp who jumps and runs when anything chases me. My family got me BOTW for Christmas and I wanted to play it, but it was all too scary. Link’s Awakening was the perfect way to get myself into the series without screaming and freaking out. The art style is cutesy and just not scary enough that I can tackle the enemies and bust my way through the story line. The plot is fantastic and has the classic elements of other Zelda games, and the map is more condensed and easy to follow with some areas to explore/multiple ways to get somewhere, but it doesn’t have the “wildly explore and empty areas between zones” that BOTW or other games have. The map is definitely condensed but it’s adorable and still large. I saw a lot of reviews say it was too easy, but this was perfect for me because it allowed me to ease myself into the franchise and it took me a solid three weeks to play through it. Now I’m moving on to BOTW and I’m able to play it without being too scared because of this game. Highly recommend.

Me gustó, llegó antes de tiempo, (la única cosa rara es que no venía con el el celofán que cubre la caratula y que se debe rompaer a la hora de abrir la cuja, como generalmente pasa cuando compro un juego nuevo, no se veía usado, ni roto ni nada, sólo se me hizo extraño; a sí que no le dí importancia. El juego es una grata experiencia para los amantes de Zelda. Es un título de colección con imágenes mejoradas, incluso algunas cosillas nuevas, visualmente hermoso vale cada peso gastado. El idioma se adecuó a mi switch así que todo súper bien. Lo recomiendo si eres fan y si no también es un juego de puzzles muy adictivo y emocionante.

I had the original on the Game Boy back in 1993 and got this for my daughter to play in 2023 - still a fantastic game thats been updated with new graphics that keep the charm of the original. Aside from that its a fairly faithfull recreation (from what i remember) I cant be sure if new side quests or mini games have been added or just enhanced. Either way, a classic game from the golden age of gaming.
