I’m more of a hot tea person and I drink coffee maybe only 3-4x a year. I have just never been an avid coffee drinker and much prefer other means of caffeine if I need some. The need for caffeine usually comes only when I get severe headaches— and even then, I usually get a dose from migraine medication.
Every once in a blue moon, though, I have an urge to drink coffee. Over the years, I’ve dealt with many a cumbersome coffee machine that I usually end up throwing out or giving away because it takes up too much space in my kitchen for as little as I use it. But then, every time I get that rare urge to drink coffee, I wish I’d had one again. One particular day a few weeks ago, I had that urge to drink coffee. I haven’t had a coffee machine in probably a good 3 years having given my last one away, so I figured I was out of luck. I don’t dare venture out into the public for a $5 cup of coffee I don’t need in the midst of a pandemic. I then remembered this adorable little coffee dripper I saw in a video I watched a while back. Though I’d never seen such a thing in person, I thought if any place would have some for purchase, it would be Amazon. Low and behold, Amazon did not disappoint. While browsing for a coffee dripper, I saw many different brands and styles. I ultimately settled on this one for a few different reasons.

2. The reviews were plentiful and high
3. I like the sleek style with the cork
4. I prefer a coffee dripper that also comes with the glass carafe for a more all-in-one device.
5. It’s small and takes up hardly any space at all! Perfect for my needs.
6. The reusable filter
When I received this coffee dripper, my expectations were exceeded. Though the device is pretty straight forward and self explanatory, it comes with very clear, thorough instructions about how to use and care for it. It comes with a handy coffee scoop and a lid to use on the top after your coffee is done brewing. The reusable filter is a huge bonus because it’s less waste and a money saver. The cork outer not only looks nice, but it’s easily removable for cleaning and it’s really great for insulation (no burned fingers!) It’s really well made and feels nice and sturdy, it’s also very easy to clean. No electricity needed, no need to wait forever for the coffee to brew. The top benefits, though, are that it produces some of the BEST tasting coffee I’ve ever had, and it’s compact so I can store it away easily until the next time I feel like some coffee— how ever long that may be.
The bottom line is that I don’t think you’ll regret buying this. It’s wonderful to have!

How To Use
How to brew delicious coffee with the filter coffee maker pour over: First, place your pour over on a flat, heatproof, non-slip surface. Add fresh, filter ground coffee to the cone – we recommend one rounded teaspoon or one Bodum scoop for each cup/4oz water. Slowly pour hot (not boiling) water in a circular motion over the coffee grounds, until they’re evenly saturated. Then pour additional hot water up to maximum capacity. Allow water to pass through the coffee into the borosilicate glass carafe (this takes around four minutes). Remove the filter, insert the plastic lid, and pour a great cup of joe.

Lessons learned….. from a tea & coffee snob
First time I bought this I bought the cork one….. SKIP, I can’t say it enough skip the cork get the not as pretty on your future self will thank you. Also while it’s a permanent filter get #2 filter it makes cleaning up a lot easier. I’m all about environmentally friendly but time is also something I value and put my biodegradable filters into my plants win win imo. Highly encourage also having a washable trivet under the pour over so the glass doesn’t break.Now I’m ngl and claim to be a tea expert heck most of the time I will say it’s vile and swill but my boyfriend drinks it so I like to make it for him. In using this daily I have learned even more, so I started to test it against other products. The mini Bodum, the oxo pour over and the m something I found in the grocery store. Oxo is the pour the amount of water walk away and forget it. The big Bodum one is a bit hard to pour and not make a mess and takes some serious time to pour think and make sure you get the right flavor. The mini has a better filter but isn’t huge at most I get one cup of tea out of it but dam is it cute! Overall if I had to do this all over again for daily single cup get the oxo, for cheap the m one works but be prepared to spend time pouring to make a good cup it has a peep hole to watch your progress, big Bodum for multiple people or a lot of coffee, and the small Bodum takes up a quarter of the space so if that’s an issue I recommend that. For now back to testing tea vs coffee on these to see what happens. P.s. all dishwasher safe in theory so that’s not the biggest factor minus the cork or no cork collar.
