I have a four year old full-sized Casper mattress that I loved, decided to give it to a family member and upgrade to a new queen-sized, expecting the same experience. It’s night-and-day - the new model doesn’t have anything close to uniform firmness - the ends are squished and super soft, the middle is firm. And good luck returning it.Casper has apparently suffered from competitive pressure and cut corners, hugely affecting product quality. I strongly recommend you look at alternative mattresses. I will tell everyone I know to stay away

I can’t believe how easy this mattress purchase was! I did my research and decided on the Caspar. It then literally took 5 minutes to order, less than 12 hours for it to arrive, a snap to set up. We were sleeping on it the next night. No drawbacks that we’ve noticed. It’s a comfortable, firm memory foam mattress.

A couple of years ago I replaced an extremely soft traditional spring mattress (that had become severely warped) with a middle-of-the-line Ikea foam mattress. The Ikea mattress, at least on a boxspring (as opposed to slats or directly on springs) was unbearably hard for me. I am overweight, and when I would lay down on my back on the Ikea mattress, my lower back would arch several inches over the mattress. I developed very frequent lower back soreness because of this. I finally had enough of the Ikea mattress, so I started researching alternatives, with the limitation that because of the pandemic I wouldn't be able to try out any mattresses at a store. Also, because of my very narrow stairs, I knew that the only King size mattress I would ever be able to move back downstairs when needed was an all-foam mattress (so hybrid options were out of the question for me).

I researched mattresses extensively for a few weeks. I started with Consumer Reports, which rates Casper's mattress very highly. I read and watched review after review online. I also asked my friends on Facebook what mattress-in-a-box they recommended, and a friend wrote to say that her guest beds are Caspers and that her guests always mention how comfortable they are. I finally settled on the Casper original (all-foam) and I couldn't be happier. I find it very supporting and I like that I don't sink into it. It's funny to see some reviewers on here write that it's way too firm, and others say that it's way too soft. I think it's a pretty perfect balance of softness and support. I am very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend it.

First thing I feel I need to review is the delivery service we purchased. The reason I called it “white glove” is that the 2 gentlemen were amazing. Kind, fast and caring of property. They took away the old mattress first then brought in the new one. No disruption of our property whatsoever. They deserve priority for the review.

Now the mattress. Although it takes 72 hours to fully fluff up we were still able to sit and lay on it ASAP. It’s only been 36 hours but it is so amazingly soft and supportive for my 81yo mother in law. She’s a bit tough to please but she too loves it and woke up this morning without her usual aches. My husband snd I will be buying a king size for our bed soon. You won’t regret this purchase and I can’t wait to get the next one.

Thank you Casper, Amazon and our special delivery guys for making this an easy, no stress experience. Should have expected this from Amazon anyway, top notch service.

I bought this upgraded 'Original' since we loved the 'Original' we bought in 2016.
This new one is not at all like the other. The other was soft on top, but then the support really kicked in as you got settled. We loved it.
This new one has no support at all. I can't get in or out of bed. There is nothing around the edges for support. When I sit on the edge, I slide right off.
We received the mattress in Oct., 2023 and already there is a hump in the middle between where the two of us sleep.
Very disappointed. :(

I had a memory foam matress which I loved since day 1. about 3-4 months ago, I had bad issues with my left trap muscles, I believe was due to laying on my left side, so I had to lay on my right side and start going to physical therapy. I bought this mattress on November 21st, it is now November 29th and can say that the pain is gone. I can sleep on my left side again with no issues.

The smell was immediate when I opened it up and I let it sit for about an hour. It was gone, or at least I thin it was. I smelt a little of it that night. The next night, I didn't smell a thing. It may be cause I got used to it, but whatever the case, I don't smell the chemical smell I did when I first opened it up.

Update Jan 26, 2021:
My shoulder pain is almost all gone. The bed does not smell and I enjoy every night I sleep on it. No smell. I have no issues other than I should have got a King. I highly recommend this bed.

My husband and I have been sleeping on a lumpy, incredibly uncomfortable standard KING mattress for years. The stupid thing was so expensive. I think we were trying to get every last penny out of the purchase...we can be stubborn like that too. It eventually just was not worth it anymore.

So I researched different mattresses and spoke to friends. Kept on hearing about Casper. Liked the idea that it had the cooling gel (I run hot) and the fact you don't have to wait 2-3 days for the mattress to expand, liked the warranty and the price was pretty good.

I was so glad that it was available on Amazon, it added a layer of confidence if there had been an issue.
So I ordered the mattress and 2 days later it was delivered.

OMG...like seriously OMG...the first night and every night afterwards, my sleep has been deeper and better than ever. My husbands back pain is gone..like poof! We had no adjustment period of going from a standard mattress to a foam type mattress. No issue with a smell. If you have another person able to help to unpack and set the mattress up, that would be great...and definitely set it up where you are going to be sleeping...thing gets heavy and bulky...FAST.

Bottom line: We LOVE this mattress. Period.

I bought this bed because of hip/leg pain. I woke up after sleeping on the Casper bed almost pain free.
Great purchase!
My only complaint is that it has a chemical smell which I hope will go away in a few days

Purchased 3 Casper mattresses and they will not expand correctly. These are like seconds in my opionion Two of the mattresses the corners are not square and not fully expanded. My phone experience with Amazon was terrible. They do not send somebody to pick up the mattresses to be returned. Not sure how they expect us to take 3 king sized mattresses to a courier. When I asked the customer service lady very nicely how this was feasible she explained the same thing over again and told me she would disconnect the call which she did. I am astounded at their lousy service. Buy Casper in an actual Casper store!
