I don’t usually write reviews, but reading the reviews so far... I just have to.

First of all, shipping was great (at least for mine) box within a box kept my collectors edition in near perfect condition. I do appreciate that especially when I am used to things coming in the worst condition (shipping wise)

Second, I am not sure why everyone reviews the game itself here. Maybe on the singular physical copy page, but for collectors and special editions, prob should review the contents. Everything in this edition of the game is just amazing, down to the box itself. Sooooo many collectors editions I have personally bought have the cheapest crap and lowest cost cardboard. This does NOT. This is a box I would gladly display and actually be proud I own.

Statue is beautiful.
Backpack is pretty decent quality down to the pins on the bag, that are actual metal.
Patches and sticker are what they are lol.
OST, just great.
ARTBOOK, very nice.
Steelbook is a nice edition to my collection. Not my fav Steelbook ever, but not bad.

I could go on about the contents, but those are the main components of the Ellie Edition.

Third, don’t listen to everyone just review bombing the game. There are legitimate reviews, and you can tell which ones are, because they post pros and cons of the game. A game being fully and completely bad is so rare.

They took a direction with the game that others may not have been a fan of, me being one of them. The spoilers found me as well, and I wasn’t particularly happy. But that does not subtract from how beautiful this game look, plays, and feels. The Last of Us has never once given me any feeling that there would always be happy endings. So you have to view it as it is. Set in a dark unforgiving world that does not guarantee happy endings.

I may update this review once I have beaten the game, but please do give the game a chance if you liked the first. Form your own opinion.

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after finishing the game and logging in to see completely biased and inaccurate user reviews. (Not so much on this product, but on the $60 version - woof.)

I bought a PS3 specifically for the first game, and I thought it ended beautifully and didn't need a sequel. That being said, I was apprehensive (albiet excited) when this one was announced, and now I realize I'm a dummy for not trusting Naughty Dog. While some things did not end up the way *I* wanted them to, the bottom line is: it's a BEAUTIFUL game, it's immersive, the game mechanics are greatly improved, the soundtrack is pitch perfect, the voice acting wonderful, and the STORY consistently surprising and engaging.

There's a reason why the critic reviews are STELLER and user reviews (on sites like metacritic) are abysmal - folks are just mad they didn't get the EXACT game THEY wanted.

I am so terribly glad that I managed to get the Ellie Edition pre-order when it was first announced last year. Since then a lot has happened regarding the release (and, well, the world) but everything with my purchase was okay. The Ellie Edition is the most beautiful collector's edition that I've seen. Well crafted and worth the price if you, like me, fell in love with this story years ago and has an emotional bond with these characters.

I will not comment on the game itself right now to avoid giving spoilers to anyone reading reviews. But let me say this, don't listen to the bigots that have been criticizing this game since the first trailer with Ellie and Dina was released. These people are biased and hateful, and they never had the intention to be anything else towards this game and Naughty Dog.

Thought the game was amazing. The acting, the graphics, and the gameplay were all incredible. I must say, the story is great but there were moments where it wasn't so compelling. I do recommend to play the game with an open mind though and to follow it all the way to the end. Overall, the experience was spectacular and I highly recommend the game.

Wasn't that bother with the "scene" and enjoyed the story overall, gotta gives credit to try to do a different form of narrative instead of following the norm. The backpack is quite good and I used it regularly. Statue can do without the blood but its fine

Everything came in one piece and nothing was missing. The figure of Ellie is bigger than I thought it'll be and the backpack looks really great. This is definitely a perfect gift to give someone who really likes the storyline of the Last of Us.

I couldn’t believe I was able to find this!!! I wanted ellies bag sooo much. The box came a little beat up but everything inside was safe! I already have the other collectors edition from the release so I’ll be giving the extras to friends.
